Hi team do you mind if I join in? I have 20 kg's of baby weight to loose and would like all the support and encouragement I can get. There's 7 weeks till christmas so I'd like to loose at least 5kg by then. After heaps of thought I have decided to do Jenny Craig as I wont need to think about what I'm going to eat or cook while looking after my newborn. After I've lost most of my weight on JC I might look at weight watcher for a more long term maintenance approach, I will see how I go. In the BB christmas challenge last year I lost 7kg by myself calorie counting but it was a fair effort calculating everything which I just don't have time for now but boy oh boy was I proud of myself  so I hope to feel the same satisfaction this christmas even though I'll be no where near the end goal weight at least it will be a good start.
Exercise wise I will be aiming to go for a walk most days with ds in the pram and when it gets a little warmer and ds fits into the swim gear I bought him I'll be going to the beach and the pool with dh & ds. I also have a home gym so I will try to work out in it a few times a week while either dh looks after ds or ds can watch me in his swing (I think he'll like that). I've also got a good treadmill in my home gym so even if it's raining there are unfortunately no excuses!

Of course you can hun.... :welcome:
Looks like your setting yourself some realistic goals and i'm sure you'll find the motivation you need.
I am LOVING taking my girls for walks with Kate and her DD, i actually like it and so do my girls now.. it's great

Hi cherished1! Congratulations on the birth of your little man! I've known people who have done Jenny Craig with huge success, but their consultant has said exercise is the key. My mum lost 12kg with them and all she did for exercise is walk every day. Good luck and we're here to cheer you on!

ZF - Are you and Kate walking on Friday? Can I join you? BOM says 22!

Not 100% sure yet but if we are will let you know, hopefully we can if the weather is good.

I'm struggling already this week. Stupid AF is making things harder, then ontop of that I've had really bad hayfever so I am trying not to go outside since that's making it worse. Looks like no walking for me. ( Nothing I take ever helps my hayfever either. :()
Not high hopes for this week so it may only be a little loss, if a loss at all. :dunno:
Anyone elses AF make everything turn to crap? Loll
Hi Cherised1. :hello:
-
I have AF at the moment and it's for longer than usual (1st one since mirena) i feel a bit bloated but am actualyl finding the exercise is helping.
Went for another walk with kate today, rough 3.4km but was a lot more PRAM FRIENDLY this time round and we didn't stop as much, maybe next time we can do a bigger loop.
-
yeh AF always upsets me
last month with Nuva Ring then back on the pill, that will be interesting
-
Yuck, i am not looking forward to my first AF after bub was born. I can feel it coming soon. I get the worst cramps and bloating.
-
AF doesn't bother me that much since I'm on the pill and only lasts 3 days (yay me!). Also, I find that exercising helps with the pain (or at least I'm concentrating on the exercise rather than the pain). But heyfever sucks! Hope it'll pass soon, hun!
AFM, had a salad for lunch and an apple as a snack. Been walking up and down stairs all day at uni. I really hope this week is gonna be a bit better.
Good Luck everyone!! And welcome cherished1!!!

:hello: Hello and thanks for the welcome ZF, PacRak, Jewel & Raupe :bluecheer: It's lovely to know I can count on you BB gals for support!
PackRak that's great feedback on JC I so hope I have good results and a few big losses between now and Christmas.
Jewel I haven't got AF obviously but I know when I was loosing my 7kg last christmas each time I had AF I would either have a gain or no loss but hey the overall results were worth pushing on ;)
I just got back from a walk with DH & DS in the pram. DH did all the pushing and it was only a 20min walk and a slow one at that but I think easy does it over the 1st week to get my body into the swing of things.

Man ive had a bad day. I didn't get to the gym today because my legs are still sore from yesterday AND i indulged on rocky road. GAH! I hope this doesn't affect my weight loss too much :(
-
Jewel - I hear you on not being able to take anything for hayfever. I took antihistimines for it a while ago, and they gave me heart palptations so I've been too scared to try anything since! Hope you feel better soon.
Off for my walk in a little bit. Yesterday I had my cereal, a banana, kiwi fruit, a wrap for lunch, and one cracker. Dinner was marinated drumsticks x 2 (not the little ones, the normal sized legs) and cous cous. And a Freddo. I thought about the Freddo for ages and then realised that I was obsessing, so I had it....but I made sure I enjoyed it. Today I feel a bit blah. Know that I'll get on the scales on Monday and they'll laugh at me.

Mmmmh, could do with a freddo right now! hehe
Well after eating salads for dinner for three nights straight, DP INSISTED we'll have something else. He was craving lasagne, BAD! So I made us lasagne, but I made it MY way :D We used wholemeal pasta sheet, I used 1/2 low fat mince and 1/2 veggies (grated zucchini and carrots), some tomatoes and kidney beans, onion, garlic, beef stock and plenty of herbs! Instead of cheese sauce I added some light sour cream on top (:o damn, that's good!) and grated a tiny amount of low fat cheese on top. And you know what? he LOVED it! (and so did I) It was just as good as the "original" lasagne I used to make. The zucchini really takes on the flavour of the meat. So overall, although I ate lasagne, I was still happy with my efforts. Yay, I'm proud of us!! DP HATES carrot and zucchini, so I'm proud that he was brave enough to try. It's so much easier when you have support...
