good luck to all
Hi everyone! Well I didn't have the best eating day - chocolate cake, brie.....But I didn't do too badly as I ate a healthy lunch, b'fast and dinner. I finally got on and did 40 mins on the bike. Was a lot of fun actually as I borrowed my dad's ipod with some great music. Feeling very motivated. Hopefully going to do a jog tomorrow. My goal is 30 mins even if I don't end up jogging the whole way and have to walk some (or a lot).
Hope you all had a great day! See you tomorrow!
Ew ew ew at the headless chicken! I would not have gone near it! Yummmmm at the fireman though, was he hot? My gym stalker has disappeared so I have decided he must be a fireman (my favourite kind of man!) and been sent to QLD for cleanup, lol. Probably just on holidays, but I'm allowed a little but if fun right?
Btw ladies, I look HOT today!! Loving it :)
Hi! I know I have been AWOL again, I worked on call last week and did 45 hours overtime. Between that and the stress of the weekend events, I am down to 98.5kg at present.
It's such a good feeling to be back in double figures. Bring on the 80s!
*woof whistles innocently at Kate*
Wow? Fireman husband???? All my dreams come true!!!
Fireman or not, there was THE hottest man at the gym today! Very nice view from the crosstrainer :) i racked up 9ks in 45 mins and it barely registered, hope he there again tomorrow because that was a great workout! Hottie also smiled at me and let me in front of him to use the water fountain, told you I was looking hot today :)
Pandora- that is awesome work, absolutely fantastic!!
 Who thought being fit and healthy could make me laugh so much!
Haha you lot are hilarious!!
Well I had a kinda ok day yesterday... But we were at RCH for DS's allergy challenge so I excused myself... And today with a sneaky hop on the scales (500g lighter oh dear god let it last until next Monday!) and I've been doing well. Exercise bike tonight here I come! Wish there was a firefighter at my place...
Whose up for a bit of a challenge?
How about:
1. First to 40ks bike riding
2. First to 10ks of walking/running
3. Biathlon- first to 20ks bike + 5ks walking/running
Sound fair? Only one person can win, but you can choose any category to participate.
Mine would have to be walking as we don't bike ride and the exercise bike doesn't have any working records :)
Hmm if kate and i walk 2 days in a row we can win together :p ... game on ladies
OOOhhhhh that's the motivation i need!!! So glad i joined this thread!!
I will go for the bike- i have an excercise bike that keeps track of k's.. i can generally do 4k's at a time, so i will have to boost it up a bit to catch up!!! YES>>>> MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woohoooo! I am going for the biathlon category.
Z, if you want to go for exercise bike you could track it in minutes? i usually do around 4ks in 10mins so 20ks = 50mins and 40ks = 100mins
For anyone walking outside who can't track it, should we call 10 mins = 1k?
Starbright- When do you do your exercise? If you want to try upping your k's i find alternating works really well for me, Eg. stretch it out slightly to 5ks on the bike, followed by 30 min walk then a second 5ks on the bike. This works best if you are exercising after bedtime or when your DH is watching the kids though! All you need to do is that twice and you have beaten out Kate and ZF :)
Next week we will have to up the stakes, lol! If we have a tie for Friday (i know we all do exercise at different times so to be fair i think we should list which day we finish), i think the winner will be decided by how much over they do? Sound ok?
well I just did 9.6k on the exercise bike :D
Oh and for those with iphones, Runkeeper app is free this month and it ROCKS! Can't recommend it enough for walks & runs
What is the tracker website to work out distance you walk?
Yeah, I find runkeeper to be pretty accurate too. But can we link up with each other on there? It always asks me if I want to share where I walk, but I don't quite know if that means to share with your friends, or to share with strangers.
I'm up for the first to 10km walk. Tomorrow is going to be a nice day, so maybe I'll get up early and do my 7.9km one. I didn't walk today, although I did get around two different shopping centres! Suppose that counts for something!
Well done Belfie!!!!
The hilly walk was about 4.3km.
just worked out a track that would make it up to 5.1km. it misses one hill, but still has your fav dead chook hill.
Gee thanks, maybe we can alternate b/w your place, W and PRMG's to mix things up a bit and then find out the place my friend was talking about... anyone know of a cheap double stroller that would be good for walking (2nd hand etc) my tandem has a mind of it's own (just ask Kate i cut her off ALL the time) and am looking for some a little more 'all terrain' don't have the $$ so have been checking e-bay but no luck so far :(
Wow 5km walks are impressive. I'm managing 2km on a good day so far... and sometimes Mr Toddler-boy insists on walking too arrrRGH. I think runkeeper told me my pace was 28minutes per kilometre at one stage!
My progress this week:
Mon: walk 2km (25mins)
Tues: walk 2.1km (35 mins - might I add up a big hill with 40kg worth of toddler/baby/stroller! gotta be worth some extra cals)
Weds: walk 1km (10 mins turned around due to Miss Grizzlepot), 9.6km ex bike (20 mins)
ZF - not sure on cheap double. I have a P&T sports, but honestly they're crap for tall ppl when 2 on board (my hubby has barely pushed it since we started using doubles). P.S. I feel liek I'm stalking you lol... here.... 365... do you feel flattered or what?!?!
PRM - I always thought runkeeper meant to share your stuff on fb and stuff like that? And honestly right now I'd be way too embarrassed to put my piddly walks up. holy cr@p i've just seen that you do a 7.9km walk! You go girl! I have some work to do!
Aww Belfie :loveshower: stalk me all you want  and our baby buddies.. hmmm watch out :p
Nice work with all the walking.. keep up the brilliant work, we should try and organise a catch-up one day.. meet in the middle with a few melb girls and find a nice walking track :)
LOL, feel free to join me!! I usually do it on a day where I don't have much else to do, gets me out of the house for quite a while! I rekon you're doing fantastically with your walks. My new year's resolution was to do the big walk twice a week. I think I've done it once since new years, silly weather!!!!
Oh ZF and Kate, tell me when and we'll do the big walk here too!
No, we turn right at the end of my street and keep walking until we get through another estate and hit Plenty Road. And I have another 4km walk here too that doesn't go up the back, only downfall is that we have to cross Plenty Road.
ETA: OH *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been RAK'd!!! I posted this and my quote under my name was gone. Man I'm blubbering now...
Thanks hun. It happened last year too, and I just don't feel like I'm worthy of it IYKWIM?
