Hi ladies,
I would like to join as well. I have approx 24kg's to lose, it is an absolute MUST for me at this stage. At the end of the day it is MY health that will also affect my daughter when she grows up (I am strict with what she has, so why shouldnt i be with myself?)
My starting weight was 89.5 (Gross hey! :shakehead:) but i weighed myself today and I'm 88.7 :D (I started my weight loss on Monday like my siggy)
Let's see how long this weekly weight loss last's for! I have been known to shed a healthy amount of weight a week and then put it all back on (I AM doing things differently this time around tho!)
Good luck to you all xoxo

How is everyone going? I have just completed week 5 of the couch to 5k challenge and I seriously cant believe that I, Melissa, ran 20 minutes straight. I felt so good. I still havent lost weight but am definately starting to tone. I really should cut out the chocolate though! Everyone who sees me says I am looking good...yay!
All the best...

Wow, that's excellent to her Mel! I have to get back into the c25k. I have gotten back down to the orignal 88kg I was before so 3kg's lost....agian! I think I have the determination and motivation to do better this time though. Here's hoping anyhow!! I hope everyone is going well :)

Cool Mel, its always a huge confidence boost when people start noticing your weight loss and the GLOW you get :D. I needed my choc fix last night  so instead of opening a pack of chocolate I had half a level teaspoon of nutella:lol::lol: DP & DD asked me what i was doing :lol: I figured that was easier than having the temptation of choc bullets open in the cupboard
I googled the c25k and got a post from someone who was saying you shouldnt expect to lose weight on the c25k?! there was a alot of mixed responses from people, but as long as you are eating healthy and exercising the weight should come off (1 person said not to expect to lose weight on it!) I've been thinking about doing the program too, but want to look into it a bit more DP would like it too - he likes to keep fit as well
How is everyone else going?
Good luck everyone!

Mel, lol, yep, that's ttc sometime in 2010, more likely the end of this year. But that's almost definately whats given me the motivation to get going. DH has told me we can't ttc until I get my body strong and healthy again, because I struggled with Liam's pregnancy and I weighed less then than I do now. I couldn't imagine how hard a pg would be now with two little ones, three flights of stairs every day and working as well. No thanks. It was one of my own requirements of myself to having another baby anyway. So now I have real motivation :) lol!!
Naenae, your weightloss goal is the same as mine!! I have made it into smaller chunks for me though, because honestly, trying to lose almost 30kg's was just waaayyy too daunting! I'm going for 15kg's for now and then another 15 once that is gone. I started the c25k a few months ago and I was losing weight quite easily each week. But that was going from doing absolutely no exercise to running/walking for 30mins or so, so naturally it was good! But I found my body changed noticably in two weeks, so it would probably be even better once your muscles start to tone up. I had to stop though because I hurt my knee. I just haven't had the motivation to start again!
Ok gotta go bath my monsters, good luck over the weekend ladies!! Hold strong!

Thanks Lilias, I'm going to go check out the c25k program - any exercise you do obviously helps with weight loss - don't know why there was a neg post - maybe there was more to the story?!
