Natty - any side effects from those diet biscuits yet? hahahaha!!!!
Had to miss the gym this morning, I'm just too tired after another sleepless night, dont' trust myself to drive into town (its a bit of a dangerous road) being this sleepy with the kids in the car. I'd never forgive myself if I had an accident and something happened to the kids just because I wanted to exercise.
As for food.. wellll... far too many homemade biscuits yesterday because I needed the sugar hit - and will probably be the same today...... I hate being tired.
Good luck everyone - its getting towards the end of week 3!!

Morning ladies :) Can't believe we're almost at the end of week 3! This week has flown by for me. I was naughty and did a mid-week measure and weigh-in, and was pleasantly surprised :)
This morning I went for a walk at the Cataract Gorge - it's so beautiful there, and there's a few pretty decent hills which are especially hard when pushing a pram! There's a small playground there too, so DS got out and had a play while I recovered, lol. It was definitely a nice change from my usual walks around my suburb.
Eating going well - though I did have 2 tim tams last night, but honestly, that's the worst I've done for a while. I can't believe how well I'm eating, when two months ago I had to have chocolate every day! It is tough to break those habits, but I've been doing this for about 1.5 months now, and eating well just feels normal and easy. Woot .
Arimeh:  You deserve a break from all these sleepless nights! I'll see you later :).

Hi ladies,
Well after a few really really bad days, I think I have managed to refocus today. I'm not having the bad cravings for sweets and junk today for some reason?? Go figure.... I'm having a delish golden kiwi fruit and cup of hot tea for morning tea and had some porridge and coffee for breaky, might have a baked 'tato for lunch (I had some yesterday- all low fat- and OMG, YUM!!!), after all of the crap I have eaten it feels good to be having healthy foods again! I think I've probably put on the weight I have lost :( but AF is due within 5ish days or so. That might be why I'm having such a tough time with eating healthily. Exercise hasn't been happening either, just because I'm really lazy. Now is the perfect opportunity for me to do it all, because DH is on leave for a month, and I'm at home all day...I'm just soooo unorganised and unmotivated! I so need to kick myself in the butt and suck it up!
Mel, sleep deprivation is a huge factor in weight loss/gain. You need to be in a good frame of mind to be able to exercise and prepare/cook/eat well and being tired makes you so unmotivated. Try to be kind to yourself babe. As you said, it's not worth the health/saftey of you all to lose weight.
Sterla, you're going along swimmingly, lol!!! I hope that I can find my mojo like you have. You're a great motivation, to know that you have struggled through the hard part and things are getting so much easier for you now and it's all getting to be a habbit. I hope I find that zen place, lol!

Hi Girls!
I've managed to inspire my SIL to get on the Wii Fit and shift some booty  She came over to visit on Tues and I was 'free-jogging' flicking channels watching TV with the wii going in the background. Then yesterday I visited her and she was doing the same thing! Homemade minestrone for lunch, then it's off to do the weekly groceries with DS1 in the trolley and DS2 in the sling. All the meals are planned so there can be no poor food choices and Calorie King is keeping me in line anyway.
Mel & Sterla - PMSL at you hiding behind the door and the old guy busting you! But great work on all those laps!
Mel - Hope you catch up on those missed zzzz's soon. Good for you for not putting your babies at risk by driving when sleep deprived.
Lilias - Glad you're having a better day today. Porridge for breaky really seems to help my cravings too.
Natty - No bikini here either. But maybe by the end if the year...
Maz - Hope you feel better soon.
Kim - Well done with the car-free postal run :)
Nai - Awesome! 100km bike ride! That's fantastic!
Sibbie - That's a great perspective and true. Just because you've lost all the weight, doesn't mean your self esteem will improve.
Minnie - Welcome! Just drive right in!
Krysalyss - Hope you felt well enough to go to soccer training. Thanks for posting the results. I like the way you're doing the cumulative results.
Best of luck everyone for the rest of week 3!
-
maz - how are you feeling? I hope you recover soon xx
nattyfred - it's so hard to stop at one biccie isn't it?! I can't have them in the house otherwise I demolish the lot. I love a good cuppa tea with a scotch finger or two or ten
Arimeh - I hope you manage to get some more sleep. I was so tired yesterday I napped when DS had his nap but then later on, I was nodding off again when I was feeding DD.
sterla - sounds like a nice place to go walking. It's always more interesting when there's pretty things to look at. When I walk around the suburb I tend to analyse everyones front yards and imaging what I'd do to the garden if it was my house :)
Have dragged myself out of the house the last couple of days for some walks. Walked to and from playgroup today. Was a bit slack earlier in the week. Food wise going ok, until today when I received some freebies from my Coles Online delivery. They gave me 8 Rolo dairy dessert thingies. I just ate one  Had to jump on here to curb my desire to eat the remaining 7 LOL...oh well, it tasted good now I'm flushing it down with a big bottle of water.
I've just checked out all my walks on Runkeeper website and in April I walked 28.1km! Yay! I'm a bit of a slow walker though, my average pace is about 4.6km/hr but that is pushing 28kg of pram, toddler and baby!
-
Eluned: Wow, that's an awesome lot of walking for April!
Suz: That's great that you're motivating other people!!! I wish I had a Wii... maybe when DH gets his tax done
Lilias: Glad you've managed to refocus :) It is so, so hard in the beginning, but eventually it just becomes habit. I think I've read somewhere that it takes 3 weeks to break/create a habit, so if you can just push through 3 weeks, then you'll probably find it becoming easier and easier. Oh, and AF is definitely a pain when you're trying to change you're eating!
Mel and I went to gym this morning for an Abs, Butts and Thighs class, and it was really good (well, I liked it). There was a bit of combat thrown in too which I really liked. I left DS at the child care there, but I don't think I'll be doing that again. He cried the entire time I was away this time :( I just can't handle him being that upset knowing it's because I'm not there. But I've asked DH, and he is happy to watch DS at his work one or two mornings a week (his work is really flexible), so I think I'll do that instead. DH will love the extra time with DS too :).
Homemade pizzas for tea tonight! Can't wait!
-
Hi guys! Well I went for a jog yesterday but only ended up running 3km instead of 5km because I didn't feel that great after being sick this week. Still ran the 3km in a good time though so that was something. Playing soccer tonight and hopefully at weigh-in tomorrow I will have a good result.
Anyway everyone sounds like they are going really well :) See you tomorrow!

Hey everyone (again)
I was just wondering if anyone has some low-fat/healthy snack ideas they can share with me? I want some variety from all the fruit, lol.
-
Sterla,
How about:
Low fat yoghurt
veggie sticks or rice crackers with low fat hommous/cottage cheese/cream cheese
crackers with tomato
Cup-a-soup
handful of nuts
low fat cookies with cup of tea/coffee
low fat hot choc
slice of fruit bread with low joule jam
-
ooho there's a snack list in a mag I read somewhere....will find it.
-
sterla, I sometimes have those premium crackers with a thin piece of low fat cheese and gherkin or tomato.
-
Thanks for the suggestions :) Got to be better than what I just ate... I got a 1/4 roast chicken to go on our pizzas tonight, and I kind of ate all the stuffing and skin....
Baaaaaaaad

Well, I really have refocussed today and yesterday! I have manged to resist the foods that were on offer at a mothers day morning tea this morning- cake, doughnuts, cheese and crackers...I'm so proud of myself. And this arvo I have resisted eating the kids kinder surprise chocolates in the fridge (I did have one little chocolate, but could have eaten the whole lot!). I'm rather proud! I haven't eaten the fruit and veggies I should have and not enough water either, and no exercise, but no junk today! YAY! One step at a time right, lol!
Girls that are struggling a bit today, try not to beat yourselves up about it. I know that's hard, believe me I KNOW! But it won't do anything for you feeling guilty. Just try to suck it up and get back to it. Or walk an extra 15mins or something...

Hi Girls - well after having 2 great weeks I have been so naughty the last 2 days, yesterday I had a choccy and a can of coke (after eating a healthy salad for lunch) and tonight I had pizza! I really wish I hadn't discovered Eagle Boys and Domino's do gluten free pizza. I have a feeling with mothers day etc weigh in is going to be very bad this week. Oh well, it's ok to have one bad week isn't it? I did go for a walk this arvo and will do an extra long one to work off the pizza tomorrow.....I did choose the vegetarian option as they're usually lower in fat but probably makes no difference on the scales, booo. It's my first Mums Day on Sunday and I just know I'll get offered muffins or something at the inlaws for morning tea but DH is taking me out to one of the national parks (providing the rain stays away) so we can go for a nice stroll through the little animal sanctuary etc. This is the plan anyway!
Oh well, back on the horse as they say!.....
-
Hi girls! It's great to hear you all doing so well :)
I have been sick all week with the flu and DS has the flu/bronchitis as well so, other than a decent walk on Monday, I have done no excercise and have munched on some choccies while I have been laying on the lounge feeling sorry for myself. AF also arrived this week, so all in all a pretty crap week here :boohoo:
I have also let my excercise buddy down but promise to make it up next week!
I am not looking forward to weighing and measuring on sunday..might leave it til Monday morning..
Wishing all you beautiful mums a Happy Mothers Day for Sunday :) And some great results this week as well x
-
cruddy week eating wise so not expecting any weight loss. went to the gym for my 3 sessions though. having mothers day breakfast at sizzler tomorrow morning so i intend to pig out. :-/
-
Hi guys! Hope you all have a great M (for mmmmmm) day tomorrow. Weighed in this morning and very happy to see 1kg gone plus 4 cms (1 from chest, 1 from tummy, 2 from hips). Woo hoo!
Went to bakery for breakfast and had a skinny coffee. Couldn't resist an almond croissant or cauli/brocolli/cheese triangle but managed to only eat the corner off each before giving it to DH. Whew! Still would have been a bit over what I should have but I know I won't give up every mouthful.
Soccer was good last night although we lost. I played most of the game except for about 5 mins. But am determined to do some good runs this week to pick up my fitness as I know I should be running faster during the game.
About to go have lunch and trying to think of something warm and tasty but healthy. Hmmmm.
Anyway hope everyone has an awesome day tomorrow! And look forward to getting all of your measurements in on Sunday/Monday. If you had a crap week don't worry about it. We all have those so just pick up and keep going. Bye!

Hi ladies! How is everyone liking the new look BB? Geez it's going to take some getting used to!
Happy Mother's Day to all you mummies out there! :D How did everyone go over Mother's Day? There was so much naughty food on offer today. DH (and DS) made me pancakes for breakfast. Then there were croissants and Boston bun on offer at morning tea. Tonight I'm having my mum and sister over and there will be wine, cheese and crackers and chocolate... But having said all that, I have actually managed okay today. I had all those things, but not too much. No exercise today either - but hey, it's not Mother's Day every day is it!
I weighed and measured this morning (before the eating began, lol), and I am so happy with my losses this week! It was quite surprising, but AF did just finish, so that may have something to do with it.
Anyway, hope you're all well. Bring on week 4!
