Hey Sassy :)
Still waiting for my program to arrive :( I got the recipe book but no program. I am a bit bummed because I wanted to start yesterday. Oh well. And being that it is a long weekend here this weekend, it looks like I won't be starting until next wednesday at the earliest anyway!
How are you going? You must look and feel like a different person!

Hi Ladies,
Just wondering how you're going..??
I am ummming and ahhhhing if this is the right program for me...
Love to know how you are doing and keeping it up??
-
Hey Lulu,
I'm going great! I love it!!!
As of today (4 weeks in) I am down 10kgs and 59cms! :o
I feel fantastic... and I am looking forward to seeing how I look at Xmas time.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime.
-
WOW...Lisa - that is incredible...you go girl....
Am still thinking about it. I sooooooooo don't want to be negative...but have been doing a lot of research and so many people seem to put the weight back on pretty quickly.
On the other hand I know someone that dropped 30kg and she has put on about 6kg and is fighting hard now to lose it and get ontop of it straight away.
Are you used to it now? Do you have a lot to lose?
-
Hey guys,
Just hoping I can join this thread.
Wow it sounds as though Cohens really works......
I am trying to loose 17 kgs but am currently going through IUI.
I went in to join Jenny Craig but was told once I fall Pregnant( hopefully I am now) i can no longer do it.
Is that the same for Cohens????
-
yeah u def cant do it if ur preg. most diets u will prob find r like this
maybe just healthly eating and exercise till after ur pregnancy.
-
Gizzmo,
As Sassy mentioned, you can't do it if you're pregnant, but you shouldn't diet whilst pregnant anyway. I have read studies into ADHD and one of the factors have been weight loss during pregnancy (which is scary stuff)
I personally wouldn't risk it. I carried my youngest with way too much weight on, and besides the aches & pains, both of us were very healthy.
I actually started Cohen's in Aug 07, but had to stop due to pregnancy, then I miscarried, and have re started again now.
Lulu - Yep a lot of people will put weight back on after Cohens... but it is no more so than those who put the weight on after most diets. The thing with Cohen's is that you are making changes for the rest of your life, not just for the duration of your diet. A friend of mine lost close to 90kgs in a little over 6 months on Cohens, that was over a year ago and he hasn't put his weight back on. The thing is, you will have fluctuations but know what to do to control it in the end. I have a lot to lose, and I know that once I go to goal, past re feed and onto maintenance, I will be like that for life... but anything I do gain will be easier to lose than the great amount I have to lose now.
Check out the New You forums when you can... there are many inspirational people on there, many more experienced people too who could answer your questions too. I am on there under the name Jamanoha.

Good for you Lisa - you sound so determined..I know you'll succeed.
Will checkout the forums and maybe take the plunge when I get back from my holiday.
Will be keeping my eye on you...my little inspiration girl..

Hehehe... thanks Lulu
I weighed myself last monday, 5 weeks in and I have now lost 14.1kgs.
My husband came up to me today and said "Wow sweetie, you can really tell you've lost weight" which was amazing and had put the BIGGEST smile on my face... I love that he said it without me prompting him (honey... do you think I've lost weight????? lol)
Definitely check out the forums Lulu... there are so many amazing people on there.
I hope to see you around sometime ;)

That is outstanding....brilliant work chickadee....
You should be so proud of yourself...keep it up honey-pie and I very much look forward to your updates.
I am going away for 2 weeks and will have a good think about it all. I have been doing my own thing for the last couple of mths and doing pretty well. Last few weeks doing Optifast for breakfast and lunch with a light dinner and weight going slowly.
Keep it up Lisa...you're gonna be such a yummy mummy!!
-
Thanks Lulu :)
I am going to a concert in March next year, and I have an outfit I want to wear by then... but I am also going to see Pink in July, and I am hoping to be done with it all by then. Mind you, I have a LOT of weight to lose so I might not quite be there by then, but hopefully willpower & determination aslo help with the weight loss :)
Enjoy your 2 weeks away!
