Yeah I am similar, my iron and B12 are low so I'm on supplements daily, I also have to have Vit D supplements as mine is always low... even in the middle of the summer with a sun tan (I sit in the sun for 20 minutes 5 days a week for my vit D) I just don't absorb things well... Lys sometimes with these imbalances you can't do the hard core exercising for a while, so take it easy and get on top of things before going too strong!
:hugs: Lys At least you know now and are doing something about. I need to keep an eye on my iron levels at the moment.
Was naughty this morning. Was all prepped to get up early and take the dog for a walk, BUT the weather was horrid and it was my first morning in months that I woke up in a child free bed, so I wanted to savour it  I did make up partly for it, but deciding to vacuum half the house this morning instead, not as big as a walk, but still better than nothing. Will make it up tomorrow, which is meant to be a rest day. If I don't feel free to tell me off :p
astrid, vaccuming half the house can be classed as exercise. You know what I do when I clean? ( I put on music really loud and dance around like a moron, providing no one else is home) it gets the blood pumping. So yeah, its quite fun, cleaning n dancing haha well I think so anyway lol
Hope everyone is well x
Weight loss will come when I start getting things together. Hopefully that's soon. I've been living off hospital food. They had nice ham and salad wraps today, pity I couldn't ditch the coke lol oops

Lys: hope u can get all ur levels back on track soon. Did they tell u to take vit c wit ur iron to help it absorb?
My fitness pal has me at 1650 calls for the day it seems like yeah but I eat them all usually or have like 30 something left over so I should t complain cause I don't know if I could do any less. My main prob is my meat serve I'm so used to havin a big serve. I could cut it in half and it would bring my calls down heaps. Kinda sick of salads lol tryin to think of other healthy lunch things.
I'm on my phone so I'll do more perso Al's tonight
Hope everyone has a great day
I'm here ladies been a bit busy and flat chat today, it's only going to get worse when DD1 starts kinder next week i'm sure.
Girls had swimming lessons this morning so i got a work out walking DD2 around for her lessons, am feeling good about the foods i'm eating aswell which is a big change.
Had our BB catch-up yesterday and i went a skinny latte and weight watchers muffin ;) and didn't snack on the kids KFC (well 1 chip & 2 popcorn chicken) but otherwise i waited til i got home & had yoghurt & banana for lunch.
Best be off, got soooo much to do and we MIGHT be going out for tea tonight for a friends b'day, no idea what will be on the menu or where it is so fingers crossed.
zavara: great job resisting the kfc !!!
woohoo.....
hi guys: sorry i have been slack ... still got tooth pain. can only eat soft food. ???
i've lost 500 g
so thats 12 kilo since had baby ...
i'd say 10 kg was baby and baby extras so i am saying i've lost 2 kg
chat soon
 on the weightloss JBM.
Good work on resisting KFC there ZF. Would have been a toughy for me, I luuurrrve wicked wings from there.
Sassy - yeah salads all the time can be tough. Can you look up some cooked veg recipes for a change? Think the veg for the 1MKC is cooked one.
AFM: Not going to celebrate yet, as I am sure it is water loss (I have been weeing heaps) and I did weigh at the wrong time of day. Well as of last night I have lost 3.3 kgs since Monday morning. I know, I know should not have weighed, but DH wanted to do his, so I thought I would just see. Wont count it as official until next Mon morning.
Have let myself get hungry today, not good, was out for too long, I was meant to be home by morning snack time. Should have made up my juice this morning, like I normally do for work, and kept it in a cold bag to have. Need to find some little things that I can put in my handbag for those times.
Astrid I do that too, I jump on the scales at the wrong time, and then keep telling myself it doesn't count until Monday morning.....
I have a little bag of seeds & dried fruits & nuts at work that I take one handful at in the morning and one in the arvo to keep me going, thought about putting a little bag of it in my handbag jic... I may do that now...
Me, well on work days I do really well, no option ;) I leave my $$ at home and the nearest atm is ages away so I have to eat what I pack or I go to sushi train once a week and have a salad with salmon and another roll. I figure it isn't too bad....
I didn't get to the gym this morning cause I felt sick and have been real blah all day. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow I can't handle not goin to the gym lol. Tomorrow is weigh day for me.
ZF well done on the will power! I find the less I give in I have the better I am ITMS. Having said that I had a really bad Tues night/arvo so need to watch myself at kids dinnertime.
Astrid - Well done! I agree being organised is the key so there are no excuses to overinduldge.
Sassy - hope you are feeling better soon.
Christy - Work is full of temptations but I have a few mates doing the 1MKC so they help keep me honest, lol!
JBM - well done! Hope your tooth settles down.
Lysndan - SOunds like you have lots going on hun, try and take care of yourself. xx
AFM - Ran this am and have started leave today to settle DD1 into school. Planning on focussing on more exercise and good eating whilst I am at home more so we can get in a good groove. Plan is to walk to school and back on most days in addition to current exercise and perhaps put DD2 in the gym creche whilst DD1 is at school! I have never done this before as my kids have heaps of other care whilst I am at work so will see.
Good morning everyone, i hope we are all well and feeling fabulous about ourselves and the efforts we are making to change to become healthier, happier people
Mak - walking the kids to school will be GREAT exercise, how far away is the school? I walked my little brothers to school and back when i had them for a week last year and it was just under 3kms there and back i think.
Sassy123 - hope your feeling better today
Christy - i just bought a fruit & nut mix for at home, will pop a little container in the car for travelling around today, it's good that work is a great place for you, work was my biggest downfall years ago.
Astrid - can you throw some fruit & nut mix or a muesli bar in your bag for those times, i really need something with me too for when i get hungry and we are out and about. Your doing such a great job hun... keep it up.
JBM - oh hun i hope that toothache is gone ASAP, have you been to the dentist?
AFM - check out my ticker ladies, weighed in yesterday 93.1  i am only 3.1kg off my b'day goal.
I tried on a dress today that i bought 3yrs ago that has never really fit quite well (it still has the tags on) and IT FIT, i am thinking about weaing it out to dinner tonight but i think it might be a bit cold
This morning girls and i are having mashed banana pancakes with strawberry yoghurt & sliced banana - all home made, no added sugar - just flour, egg, milk, mashed banana & a tiny bit of vanilla essence... easiest recipe EVER, i also do apple & cinnamon - i've eaten one pancake and am actually quite full so divvying up the rest to the girls... what a change!
Heading out for dinner somewhere in Carlton tonight, no idea where or what will be on the menu so i am hoping i can find something that doesn't make me feel disgusting, were also out from before lunch so i am going to pack some fruit & nuts in the car, get the girls Macca's (as we will be on the road) and will just get myself a Salad & maybe a chicken wrap (are they on the tick approved list?).
My workout today will be carrying 2 FULL watering cans down the hill to the chicken shed, emptying and re-filling all their waters and lifting the 20kg food bag to fill the seed container then walking back up the hill with 2 children. :p
Sorry another quick one from me my Internet won't work on my laptop so I'm using my phone.
Still coughing like crazy this morning but went to the gym anyways I felt like I couldn't miss 2 days in a row.
Weigh in this morning lost 0.8 so thats 6.3kg since about half way through dec so I'm happy.
Sorry for lack of posting and personals - back to work and kinder is about to amp up so won't have much time on BB anymore. Have been hopeless. :( Exercising at least 4-5 days a week but that is it and not blowing out completely but not being really good either so have pretty much plateaued again. I just don't think I am in the right headspace right now to be counting cals. Am still trying to do a few things like up water etc. but sick of beating up myself for eating bread etc. so might be back in a few weeks when I am feeling better and more motivated!!
Thanks everyone for your support - I really appreciate it and will pop in and out to see how you are all going!
tansta"r: i wish i was exercising 4 - 5 days a week.... dont be hard on yourself . you're doing a good job. better than me anyway.
sassy: good job on the loss, bummer about not feeling well. get well soon.
zarava: got denntist for first tooth in the morning !! ouch !!. great job with the loss... getting closer now. yipee !!! good luck
mak:sounds like you've got it all planned. keep up the good work
christy: hi to you. scales ... we hate them .. lol
hi to all i forgot
AFM: well one of the problem teeth coming out in morning. did nothing today.. eating 5 out of 10.. setting some new goals for next week hopefully i am not feeling so tired sore and miserable then ?
chat soon
Tan, you are doing ok hun. At least you are maintaining and not gaining like I am
I am doing atrociously. I have been avoiding writing anthing in here, but I need to be honest with myself if I am going to get anywhere. So I am here. Though I have been reading everyone's posts.
Congrats to all of you who have lost weight, and stayed on your plans and on course. It might sounds basic to you guys, but I am really struggling to just stay to my plans. I know what I need to do, but the actual doing is really challenging me. I am just not able to focus and get my head int he right place. I am not even able to 'fake it til I make it' yet, which is usually how I start, until my heart and body follow my head!
3LM - big  hoping you find your mojo soon. I seem to have found mine with the 1MKC thankfully
JBM - hope the pain goes away soon
Tanstar - hope your break is what you need to get you back on track - great exercise by the way :D
sassy - woohoo in the loss and hope you cough goes soon
ZF - your work out sounds similar to mine. Lugging stuff around the garden and for the animals. Got my cardio this morning chasing the little goat out of the veggie patch many times
Mak - Would love to be in a position to do school walks - great thing to take advantage of.
Christy - good tips there with the snacks. Have bought some more small containers (they always seem to disappear ) just for them
AFM - probably over did it today. Baked some muffins from the ok snack list, but probably ate too much last night and maybe snuck an extra one today
Still falling over on exercise. Getting up that 1/2 hour earlier, but finding it is taken up with house stuff, laundry and the extra time to pack the lunches (some items just don't do well being prepared the night before). Also making the juice every morning to take to work
Not sure how to fit in the walk. My youngest is a cling monster, it is hard for me to do much of a morning with her screaming at me to watch her, sit with her etc. I can only imagine what would happen if I took the dog for a walk down the road (it is just not safe for me to take both of them, plus I would never get a decent pace up). She was not too bad when I did the workout, she sat outside and watched me. Pity she is not old enough to count and use the timer ;)
I went a bit crazy today, today I wanted to have a rest... my first day off kids for 6 months. So I came home from drop off and cleaned the house, then I did the 1mkc work out exercises. I did some running around with shopping and laundry and library... then it was school pick up. I had a friend invite me tonight to a group boot camp, so I went :0 I exercised twice today??? WT?? I can't believe I did it twice.... in ONE DAY?
I would have never done that before this week... it was probably too much, and I'll pay for it tomorrow, but I will sleep well....

christy: wow sounds like you will pay ! OUCH .. lol... my kids been back 1 week already and i wanted rest too ... ???? ... but yesterday was the first rest i got ... lol... good luck today ..
afm: well one wisdom tooth out ... gotta rest... eat only baby food ..... it's sore and i'm tired but i cant lay down flat have to sleep with head elevated... no mowing lawns for me .. lol
christy: hope u feel good tomorrow. i get days like this too and always end up over doing it.
JBM: does your mouth feel better now the tooth is out or cant u tell at the mo? when DD got hers out it was like instant differance in her. she had obvious pain form the op but just seemed so much better.
smashed it at the gym this morning so i feel good. had the biggest coughign fit after but lol.
Gotta go to the doc tomorrow i think i have a ulcer on my tummy near my hip. it started as a pimple on a stretch mark i tried to squeeze it and it wouldnt pop then a few nights later got puss to come out of it and it was BAD!!!!!!! nearly threw up (this coming from someone that tries to sqeeze everyones pimples lol) now it looks all infected and i can see a hole into my tummy :(
Bit of a woo hoo but embaressing at the same time. Yesterday i was crossing a rd and ran to beat a car, once i got across the rd i realise the back of my gym pants had come down while i was running and was sittin just below my bum lol. so i cant wear those ones anymore (my fav most comfy ones)
Most of my clothes r real old and stretched so technically i havnt gone down a size but i have lol if that makes sense.
sorry to anyone i missed its hard to remember once its a new page.
Yesterday - not 100% with food. Stuffed up with quantities and was under for once, rather than over. So there was only enough for DH's lunch. Also had an old high school friend over for coffee. Was pretty good with hommus and dippy bits, but probably over ate.
Thinking the raspberry and white choc mini muffins might be a bit much for me, too easy for me to eat more than one, plus I think they are a bit sweet. Might save them for a snack twice a week. For me right now, I need to stick to as unprocessed as possible. So snack need to be the renew juice, veggie sticks, piece of fruit etc. My tongue has felt swollen since eating them and I normally only get that from crap eating. Looks like I also have a long term fungal thing, so need to really be careful with anything sugary and/or yeasty.
Bit of a win coming up on the exercise front. There is an outdoor excise area next to the beach, there is also a beach/boardwalk. Was thinking of going there, as I could even work out with the girls there as they would just amuse themselves nearby. Well, I have Friday as kid free day and a friend who is down to one child on that day also wants to work out there, but does not want to do so by herself So looks like we will go in together! We get to catch up and it means I am committed to that exercise time.
Trying to hold off on not weighing till Monday. Am tempted to set up a 2nd user on Wii Fit, so I can weigh outside of the official times. Also that way any fluctuations wont be recorded on my main graph.
Finally on the comp for some personals and feeling a bit better today (explain later), how is everyone going?
Astrid - woo hoo on having someone to go there and workout with, we don't have anything like that here so i am looking forward to getting back into walking next week... but boy it's going to hurt to start with.
I know what you mean about trying not to weigh in earlier, i really need to set 1 day and 1 day only, this morning i got on the scales and was DOWN but i wont take it as a loss until say Tuesday, that can be my weigh in day!
Lol about the goat, we are thinking about getting a goat to keep the long grass down on the hill where the chicken hotel is, we'd have to keep it tethered though i think.
Sassy123 - well done on smashing it at the gym and the embarrasing but empowering pants moment - it's great to see those kind of results!
JBM - ohhh hun i know how it feels having those teeth pulled, i had one wisdom removed and the guy couldn't get it out properly, he tugged at it for like 30min and had to re-administer the numbing stuff, finally it came out but boy was i sore.
With the food you can have can you maybe make up like some yummy pumpkin or veg soup to have cold and pureed - atleast then it's still nice n healthy?
Christy - well done on the exercise hun, how did you pull up? Your doing an AMAZING job, keep it up.
3LM - how you going hun?
AFM - oh god ladies we went out for dinner thurs night to a greek tavern, they just bring out plates of dips, bread, seafood, meat etc and everyone on the table shares. I don't eat the seafood and there were only like 2 meat dishes so i had some bread and dip, ate the veggies they bought out and the greek salad but 3 rounds of the food were seafood so i just kept munching on the yummy warm bread :wall: then add to that i got EXTEMELY drunk (prob a first in about 3yrs) and paid for it yesterday - oh boy a hangover and children DO NOT MIX, got a bit of a headache today but i want to clean up so going to work my butt off with the vac and stuff and go check the chickens.
Brekfast today is banana on toast and a cup of tea, lunch is going to be salad and i have no idea what i've got in the freezer for tea.
I got on the scales and despite all my bread intake i did have a loss but i will wait until Tuesday and see if it stays that way, on Monday DD1 has her kinder orientation for an hr so DD2 and i are going to enjoy a mummy & me walk, will prob only be 3km's or something to fit in the hr (as i haven't walked for a few mths) but we will go for a walk every monday and friday while DD is at kinder.. i am REALLY looking forward to it actually.
Well thats it for me, i am going to stuff around on here til 9 then get my butt into gear and go do some housework.
Please don't. They are a herd creature, they need to be with 1 or more their own kind or they go mad. It is just cruel, especially as well to keep them tethered. We have an old rescue goat and after 3 years he still has marks from the tethering. Even really 2 is not enough. We have 2 little goat guests at the moment. They kept on breaking their tethers and finally found their way here. Once they were in with the herd, they refused to leave. We are looking after them till their owners finish their fencing.
Sorry it is a real passion of mine these days. We started off with the thing of get a couple as lawnmowers and now after being with them and learning so much about them, I realise how wrong that is. Honestly it is cheaper to get a ride on and a whipper snipper than what it is to house goats properly.
I didn't feel so bad... yesterday I even went for a walk at lunch instead of sitting and reading facebook... I ate my sushi and then went for a 20 minute walk. Today the kids have martial arts in the morning, so instead of sitting and watching them, I went for a walk/jog down to the soccer field down the road and alternated jogging and walking for 30 minutes, then I ran up and down the hill 5 times, then I went to the back of the hall where the girls were and did some step ups and weights with my arms. I then stretched and their hour was up... it was great... I got an app for my phone to be a calorie counter.
I saw my naturopath/dietician this week with my blood results and we discussed how my food has gone over the past month (been keeping a diary) and what to tweak and she checked out the 1mkc website and the menus and we discussed with the food intolerances what supplements I need to take and how to go about it all for my body. She talked about how I have visceral fat causing my cholesterol results, visceral fat is the fat around the organs which causes the liver to not be able to process as well, or the heart or the lungs.... so we set goals according to visceral fat more than weight and it all seems very achievable...
So while I've been working hard physically, I've been trying to adjust my lifestyle... going well atm..... yep.... I'm keeping focused.
I find the hardest time is the dinner clean up, I just want to snack on the left over pasta or the kids meals which have things that are a no no..... so anyway DH keeps saying "don't do it" when I stick a hand in and I'm being good so far...
I never thought of it like that, we do have a ride on and a whipper snipper but it takes DP 4+hrs to mow the big paddock (not including whipper snippering) then 2+hrs to mow near the house & chicken shed, then he has to do near the creek and then whipper snipper it all. He wanted a goat or a couple of sheep for the bottom chicken shed paddock so they can climb the hill and eat all the long grass, we can't really get up there as it's steep and not safe for DP to stand on with a whipper snipper :(
We might eventually get a few sheep to keep in the big paddock once our trees have grown a bit and wont be prone to being eaten by inquisitive green hunting bah lambs  next doors sheep get into our paddock and we've had to put up a temporary fence, i should herd them down to the chicken paddock and lock them in there for a day or two.
On the weight loss thing does anyone else seem to feel a bit 'heavy' around lunch time even if you haven't eaten much, i know i've lost weight and i can feel it but come late afternoon it feels like i weigh a tonne, but i get on the scales and i'm ok
HERE is your next thread
