Tan re the food, i found that i cut our bread entirely and it was easier, not toast and no sandwiches... I also am not a fan of the mueslie bars as they are carbs and sugary carbs, i usually head for fruit instead and a small handful of nuts.
The sushi - yep bad move, i hate that it is so bad for you as it use to be my favorite lunch thing! I dont think that you are actually eating that badly though...
ETA: I saw your name in the ban me thread... it will be VERY exciting when you get back and reveal your numbers, feel free to add me of FB if you need some weigh loss chat :)
Ausgirl - Awesome numbers :cheer:
Sterla - we all have blow outs now and then, i guess it is what you do the next day or later in that day that makes the difference... Exercise is hard, especially at the end of the day when all you want to do it collapse on the couch! I mark the days that i exercise on the calandar so that it is visable to me and i have to put a big fat X on the days that i dont exercise, that helps :)
LB - i will go and check out your blog now, it will be harder to keep track now as i do most of my surfing from the phone and FB is the easiest... Can you not even create a pretend name account and have no friends and do the FCS from there? I know the answer is no, cos you would be doing that if you could!
How annoying for you, i would hate to not be able to use FB as its how i share my kids with my fa,ily and friends OS...
Krystals - well done on the bootcamp!!! but boo to AF
SB - WOW on the exercise! what a mammoth effort
Hi #LM, Ginger and everyone else that this snot filled head cant recall :hello:
AFM - i cant exercise at the moment as i cant breath properly, this cold has hit my chest and i am wheezing and coughing continually... doesnt help that i am craving really bad foods too... guess this is going to be a struggle this week, but i have to get better and thats more important than a big loss...
-
Thanks SJ!!! I think you are spot on - I think I need to limit my carbs to one meal a day. I might go and get some protein shakes because breakfast is my main difficulty. I am wasting so much time on here again I need to ban myself - I am the worlds worst procrastinator but I just need to do it.
I will miss you guys so much because you have been such an ace support to me - will be VERY interesting to see how I go over 2 mths SJ!
Hope you are ok darls - yo poor thing, getting sick sucks but you are right, getting better is much more important. Lots of fluids, and make up some of Olives chicken noodle soup - it rocks!!
-
Tanstar, you're so right. That's what I was doing when I first started - I didn't give myself the option not to do it, I just did it! I always felt great afterwards having done the exercise - I need to remember that.
I think I've also just become a bit complacent because the weight has been coming off so easily. Time to pull my finger out!
-
SJ: That's a great idea too, thanks!
Oh, and on a more positive note, I just remembered, I've had a couple of people mention they've noticed I've lost weight. Love it when that happens!

Food ideas, theses are both snacks and lunch in my house, I just have more or less according to the meal.
Tuna/salmon/sardines and onion on toast/ryvitas with a little salsa on top
boiled eggs (also great to have on hand for a rush-out-the-door breaky)
ham/low fat cottage cheese/avocado/tomato on rice thins
chicken or baked bean cheesy melt
tin of flavoured tuna
snacks
about 12 almonds and 4 dried apricots
yogurt with chopped strawberries/kiwi fruit (though sometimes has a fair bit of carbs depending on the brand)
homemade or low fat store brought hummus/tzatziki with corn thins or rice crackers or vege sticks
carrot/capsicum sticks with cottage cheese, celery sticks with peanut butter (and sultanas if you like them!)
fruit smoothie using frozen berries, yogurt and skim milk
glass of vanilla bliss soy milk
Have lots of water too Tan. I always have a glass of water before I eat a meal (or snack). If I'm still hungry, I have a cup of tea or decaf coffee.
HTH hunny!

Struggling alot tonight. Stupidly I didn't have lunch because by the time I realised I hadn't eaten, it was 4.30 and I just wan't that hungry. Now I have had dinner and I could eat another serving of it! Mostly I just want chocolate or some sort of sweets- cake, biscuits....ANYTHING!!!! I think AF is due soon too, I usually crave sweets for a week or so before  Plus I'm just a little stressed about getting everything done for when we go away on Thursday. We are leaving at about 5am, so I want it all done by tomorrow, but it's hard when the kids are bored and the baby is a clingon! I still have stuff to wash which I want to take, and I just want the house to be sparkiling when we go too, so I can come home to a clean house. Plus DH is on night shifts. I am terrible when he's on nights, I get really lonely and bored and I also don't get alot of sleep so i'm tired and grumpy too. So stress is making me want to eat too....
-
This is my new favourite lunch. Its just devine. I never knew what a chick pea was until this. You can add your own variations to it but this is what I happen to have and it tasted devine.
Approx half a small carrot grated
Tuna chunks in spring water (can use a 95gram tin of greenseas but I only use half)
Some red and green capsicum
Some red onion
Approx 100 grams of chick peas
Some Thai seasoning
Another other lettuce/celery etc you may wish to have
For the serve which I made its just over 240 cals. Big serve and is tastes so yummy. I've had it 2 lunches in a row now.

Sterla that is fantastic that people are noticing.
3LM the nights are hard aren't they? I have major sugar cravings which I blame on the BF. No AF back for me yet.
SJ do look after yourself. Yep your right you need to get better before you worry about the exercise.
Tanstar I too am going to Ban myself so I can focus more on my exercise as I spend way to much time on here. Will look forward to hearing how your going when we both come back.
Well I fell off the wagon and got back on. I weighed myself today and I am down to 76.1kilos and that was after breakfast with super full boobs. Surely they weigh a kilo each lol. I'm so excited. I wanted to be 75kilso for my sisters wedding in October and the rate I am going I'll be quite abit less then that. 72kilos was my Christmas goal but the way I am going I will have no trouble achieving that. So that brings my total loss to 10.8kilos. I signed up to Michelle Bridges 12week BT so I'm really hoping to loose another 8kilos minimum doing that which should be achieveable if I stick to the program. That will basically get me back to my goal weigh. I will be banning myself at some stage as I want this so much I want to have as much time and energy as I can muster to put into the program and whilst I have access to this site I will keep coming back and wasting alot of time. Everything suffers such the housework, my sleep (as I can't pry myself away ) etc

Cycle o'clock for me. Have been feeling better at last & trying to knock off an hour of exercise each day... Darn rain means tonight it's an hour on the bike. Hope to bbl for persies.
Its silly but I know if I post what I'm doing in here, I won't slack off lol.
-
Haha! Not silly at all.
I will be getting on the bike once my dad and sister go home.
-
Still not banned heehee but OMG fell totally off the wagon today. BAD. damn wicked Wednesday at school gets me every time, plus I baked brownies and there were leftovers. Eeerrrrk. I am also bloated and craving chocolate because I am one week off AF notoriously bad time and I always get SO bloated and feel like I have gained 4 kgs. At least i know the pattern but far out - anyone know if there is any way to stop the bloat with AF???
Off to bed and will be back on the wagon tomorrow.
-
hi everyone!
just popping in to say woohoo 73 kg! lol. was my birthday on tuesday so had rather an indulgent day with three scones and two chocolate biscuits... also had rather a lot of brie and cream cheese spread on a sliver of bread this evening... whoops! oh well.. am feeling really positive about my body at the moment, it is looking pretty hot if i do say so myself lol!
hopefuly will get back to my good-girl eating with no cheese that is not cottage cheese etc lol (rest of day was good thought :D )when the weaher gets a bit warmer. i really struggle with wanting to eat when it's freezing and that is what it is here at the moment. has been snowing since sunday, today was the first day without snow - only hail, sleet and rain. also means we're stuck inside all day everyday... no walks or even play in the garden. but is meant to get better soon thank goodness!
sorry for not keeping up, opened the last thread to see was closed and then when took link to this one was already on page 3! but what i read on this page looks great, love to see the positive mindsets, particularly you mildez! i remember thinking how down you sounded when you joined and being really worried, but now you're sounding so in control and totally awesome! well done hun, and everyone else too! xx
-
sorry tanstar, i don't know what causes bloating, but have read that drinking plenty of fluids can help reduce it, oh and those fluids have to be water or juice, not soft drinks or caffeinated drinks if your a diet coke type girl sorry! :p
-
Tanstar pregnancy will stop AF coming but I don't think its the solution for weight loss or maintanence lol
Livvy awesome news. 73kilos thats excellent. I bet you look totally hot. Sounds like your loving the new you.
I weighed myself this morning seeing as Thursday is my official weigh in day 75.3. OMG I'm so excited. My goal for my sisters Wedding in October was to be 75kilos and I'm in shock I am almost there 6weeks out. So exciting. On a bad note I'm having some skin tingling and chest pain. I think I must be lacking something. Or else eating to much protein. I'm waiting on a phone call. I basically have no calcium except a calcium tablet. Anyway this Michelle Bridges program seems to be really helping. Its only preseason now but I am so motivated and recognising some really big downfalls with prior eating habits so I'm pretty excited about changing them and hopefully I'll easily be able to keep it up. Been under 70kilos seems very possible this year now. I haven't been under that since my Wedding 3yrs ago. Then I can kick DH theory that women let themselves go after they are married lol.
-
Hey everyone!!!
Belfie!! That makes perfect sense- thats what the thread is for lol And i know what you mean- if you write it in here your more likely to actually do it!! :)
Mildez.. You are making fantastic progress!!!! Thats excellent that your ahead of your goal!!! Not too sure if the tingling and chest pain is a good thing though :o.. are you seeing someone about it?? I hope your all good there!!!
Tanstar... lol I wouldnt recomend pregnancy for weightloss!!! but other than that I dont know of anything else that will stop the AF problem. I will vouch for the bizarre way that drinking more water helps you not retain fluid!! The only reasoning I can think of is that drinming so much makes you pee alot more lol, but I am definately less fluidy since I have upped my water intake. Its all I drink now. Well that and my two coffee's a day! I have had the merina put in and I dont really get AF, but I think I still get the bloating and associated things, just without the bleeding!
livvy.. YAY on the 73kg!!!! I cant wait to be there!!!! Cheese is a downfall of mine too. I have started at least getting the light cheese which DH pointed out to me actually wasnt that much less than normal cheese- but hey, it's something!!!!
Hi 3LM... your probably not reading this as your off away with your family!! I hope your having fun!!! :)
Sterla.. That is so cool that people have noticed you have lost weight!!!! That must feel great!!! :)
Hi to all the lurkers or anyone I missed
AFM.. well the universe definately doesnt want me taking notice of numbers this week.. my bike computer thingy has stopped working lol I think its just the batteries not in properly as DS has pulled the cover off and lost it :wall: but i am taking it as another sign lol I know roughly that my half an hour is 230-250calories.. and as i usually do it while i watch telly its easy to keep track of how long i have been on for- so im feeling ok!!! I have actually been going longer these last two days, I have been on for an hour or so a day- as well as wii fitting (just my yoga/stretching routine about 20 minutes) and my wii dancing workout every day!!! I feel good!!! And i still havent weighed, but out of curiosity I think i will do it on monday- so one week instead of two and see how i went, and maybe just do it weekly! DH says I am looking good and he can notice a difference all over!! Thats good!! Except for the boobs!! I want to keep them!!!!!
I have been eating well- until yesterday when i allowed myself to have a cheese burger.. didnt go the whol emeal, just the burger and it was as gross as I thought it would be!!! lol But sometimes you just need to remind yourself right!!! DH bought chips and chocolate AGAIN.. he went to grab my fave chocolate and I said NO WAIT, get one i dont love!! lol So he got the fruit and nut, i have had one little square!! Thats my night time treat!
Im a more of a day snacker though, at night i can go without and the lazy's usually take over, if i am comfy on the couch or something, even yummy bad food wont get me up lol and then i usually fall asleep lol! But for me its during the day, i could just snack all day!!!!
But now its crazy house tidy up time!!! Happy excercising everyone!!!! :)
-
yay mildez and starbright! i'm so glad you're both feeling so great!
starbright - am sure snacking through the day is fine provided you are snacking healthily and is for the simple reason that you're hungry rather than just bored or on auto-pilot. if you prefer to snack then maybe set your day around having 6-7 snacks every 2-3 hours rather than 3 meals as such. have read that that is great for the metabolism anyhow!
well as my little dance of joy for the day (well more like several days, if not week am so excited!) - i found (in a charity store for $18) a new pair of ralph lauren jeans that are size 12 that look like they were made for me! am so happy! i can't wait to wear them out! they're in the wash today even though it's raining so i can wear them asap! :D
-
:hello: everyone! Im still here - I think they forgot to ban me  I have had a crappy few days - ate too much at work, too much chocolate etc. and feeling bad for it but am going to plod away - I don't ever want to fall int he trap of just eating what I want whenever I want without thinking about it like I have in the past. The fact that I am conscious of everything that passes my lips is a big step!!
I think I might try and get some protein shakes for brekky or lunch, I think they might be a good way to cut carbs because all I want is toast in a hurry. Eggs are a fav but take a bit of time to organise!
SB - Considering I put on 15kgs with Iz and 20 with JJ I am definitely not going to get pg haha! Sounds like you are doing well hun and that is funny about the numbers - just keep at it hun and I am sure you will get a wonderful reward when you weigh in in 2 weeks time!!
Livvy - Yay for size 12 jeans!!!!!! I wish!!! My stomach is still my trouble spot but I had a feel today and realised I still have some muscle separation :o so I think I need to go to a phsyio.
Bel - Sounds like you are ON FIRE! I want a bike haha! My treddy is so old and is outside and makes so much noise that i don't use it. Do you still have muscle separation in your stomach hun? I can't remember if you did or not!!
Mine was 6cms after birth with JJ :o Joys of a 10lber - anyway it's slowly closed up but it's still about 1-2 cms and over my belly button is about 2cms. Thinking I should go to get some exercise specifically for joining it back because I have realised what I am doing is probably making it worse :dunno:
Ok off to do kinder run! Talk soon chicks!
-
Just popping in to give:
A big hug to those who have come off the band wagon, "believe in yourself and your ability to get back on it".
A big WOOHOO to those who've progressed towards and surpassed their goals, "stay with the 'program', and congratulations for your achievements thus far".
The journey of losing weight is like a roller coaster ride, full of highs and lows. That fantastic feeling when you weigh (or measure) in and you've lost more than you had expected, or that kick in the guts when you've worked hard yet see a gain on the scales.
The best and most reassuring thing though is when you do reach your final goal, YOU did it...YOU achieved it. And no one can take that away from YOU! Most of all, YOU all deserve it :)!
