I am currently on day 3 of detox... :o
need to lose 10 kilo by end of October
I CAN DO IT! :cheer:
Hey everyone ! Can I join in here?? SO great to read all the ideas and success people have had!
I started WW online in February - took me a little while but I was still feeding J but I lost 5 kgs of the 10 I wanted to lose... After around April I plateaued...and plateaued...then winter hit and although the scales don't show it I can tell I am hibernating and storing fat for the cold ;)
Well today is the day Im getting back on the wagon - I am using Calorie King instead of WW because it's free and does the same thing, plus i have a $20 for one month Fernwood membership so will start that next week!
My aim is to lose 5 kgs by the early November when I am going to be bridesmaid for my girlfriend and I don't want to be the short fat one! ;) My height (156cms!) means even a 1.5 kgs increase looks horrible on me.
Starting weight 70kgs
Current weight 65 kgs
Goal weight 60kgs
Oh forgot to mention - one of my BIGGEST issues with weight gain and loss is snacking on whatever the kids are eating - so they don't finish toast, so I eat it. If they don't finish dinner I will eat theirs and alot of the time I don't eat regular meals for myself so then I graze all day. Back to 3 meals and 2 snacks plus loads of water should help me out plus I need to reduce my coffee - I have 3 cups a day now :S Can anyone recommend a good hot choc low cal drink - I need the warm drink at work for recess when I am on yard duty to get through!
i weighed myself this week and i've los 3 kg. woo hoo
i don't feel like it but who cares
i am trying very hard to be good with eating and exercise
keep up the good work ladies.

Okay.
I"M BACK!!
Time to get my butt moving. I'm getting married in 6 weeks. Weighed in this morning at 79.2kg.
My aim is to lose 5 kg in 5 weeks. I know I can do it, i just need to put the doritos down!!!
If I can get under 75, i'll be freaking estatic.
Going to do Zumba during the kids naptime. It'll kill me... cause I'm sooo bloody unfit. But I"M GONNA DO IT!!
YEAHH!!!
lolz
xx
Well, not sure if anyone is even still subscribed to this thread. Or if you secrectly did what I did during my naughty months and click the 'unsubscribe' button. hahaha.
Did my zumba tonight. Was ... difficult. Lets just say I have little to NO co-ordination! But on the plus side, I was very red and sweaty afterwards, so I'm hoping that means its done some good.
I'm feeling really commited guys... I think the deadline of the wedding is what I needed to get my butt into gear :)
I counted my points just before (Although I"m not actually doing WW i was just interested to see how many I had eaten for the day). And I think I ate 28. Which is pretty good, considering I'm allowed 26 (bfing). I charged 14 points for my dinner. It was brown rice with vegies and a little bacon, soy sauce. And two baked chicken legs. Anyone out there doing WW?? What would you charge for this meal??
Hi everyone I'd like to join in here if I may? :wiggle:
I'm on a mission to lose 10kg at the moment so thought this would be the perfect place for a little encouragement and advice.
A little background...
Before having DS I was 59kg (I'm 159cm) that was probably the weight I was most comfortable with myself. I enjoy food and have a good appetite. Going to the gym a couple of times a week was my way of maintaining my weight so I wouldn't have to cut out the foods I like :shhh:
I was around 73kg at 39 weeks pg and got down to 66kg a few weeks after giving birth (thanks breastfeeding!). It hovered around the 66-67 mark until about a month ago when DS starting dropping feeds. We're now down to 2 a day and the kgs are creeping on. I'm now 69kg and decided last week it's now time to start exercising again! I've joined back up at the gym and have my first sesh tmw.
My goal is to get back to 59kg by Jan...do you think that is an attainable goal? My ideal weight would be 55 but I've decided to get to 59 first and take it from there!
Looking forward to chatting with you all

Good Morning all and congratulations on your weight losses.
I am constantly on a weight loss journey lol but after my last baby DD has just turned 1 and I am heading towards 42 "yikes" and have decided I need to get serious about dropping this weight my goal is 20 kg I have done it before and felt fantastic but 2 kids later and I woke up one day and I was fat.....how the hell did that happen, why didnt I notice. I have been going to the gym for about a month now I guess and have just joined WW so I am really trying to get it off. Any tips on how to kick start it I have only dropped a kilo after busting my butt at the gym it is a little disappointing I have been given the "Muscle weighs more than Fat" lecture but I NEED to see some loss on the scale if that makes sense. Anyway I look forward to chatting with you all and picking your brains for some tips and advice......have a great day !!
Hey guys,
I haven't been in here for a while, been on a BB break and also as I'm heading closer to my weight loss goal I'm getting a bit slack. I have still got a few kilo's to go and am about to put the action plan in place to lose them. I am doing the 10,000 steps challenge with a team through mum's work, so I'm getting my exercise everyday. Just have to cut back on the sweet stuff :)
JBM - Wow a 3kg loss for you is awesome, I remember you were stuck in a rut for a little while. How are things going for you now?
Telly - How are you going? It's been a week since you posted in here, have you been keeping up the exercise and points counting? Had a weigh in yet? What are you wearing for the wedding, have you bought it yet? I'm just a wee bit excited for you!
Ally - Hi! How did you go at the gym? I think that 10kg is definitely attainable. I am the same as you, atm I am in a happy medium where I can eat what I want and not put on weight. I think the key is to still eat what you want, but everything in moderation. Cut back on the 'bad' stuff.
Nina - Welcome! My advice is to just keep sticking with it and you will start to see results. Some people lose big numbers at the start and others are more slow and steady. I think the main thing is to keep up the exercise but also focus on your food, portion sizes, etc. I guess the WW will sort that out for you.
Hi to everyone else!
hey all well its 2.5 kg and 2 cm which a loss is a loss right but if I am to be honest with DD first birthday amongst other things I havent been on my best behaivour so I guess that is pretty good but that is for a month which is a little disappointing. I think what is getting to me the most is my husband has lost 38 kg and he has done it relatively easily he doesnt go to gym or WW or anything just made a couple of minor lifestyle changes and it just fell off him....I just want to slap him lol But I will keep with it I want to be a bit slimmer for xmas.
wow Fuzzy the 10 000 steps challenge sounds great good luck with it.
I've been to the gym twice now. I hadn't been since I was about 5 months pg...so a loooong time. I don't actually own any scales so will only check my progress when I'm at mums. I think it's best as otherwise I'll be concentrating too much on numbers.
Fuzzy totally agree about moderation. I love food too much to say 'oh yeah I'll just stop eating such and such'.
Hi girls... I hope it's okay for me to join? I really need a good kick up the bum to starting losing weight and looking after myself!
A bit of background on me... I've always been a heavier girl, i love my food. I just can't stop myself from reaching for sweet foods! I decided to start losing weight in 2009 and lost 10kilos on the celebrity slim diet before I found out I was pregnant so it had to stop! I've given birth to a beautiful baby boy, who's now 8 months old and it's time to loose the baby weight. I am a stay at home mum so gyms are too pricey of an option and we only have one car that DH takes to work.
I weigh 110 kilos now.
My goal is 80.
I will continue on with the celebrity slim and now that the weather is nicer I will find time to walk *everyday*. No excuses! The walk I like only takes 20 minutes.
Thanks for reading :) I look forward to all the inspiration from you girls! xx
i have desiced to get back on track agasin after letting myself go grr but this time instead id tracking the kilos i am tracking the cm because that is more important i mean you can be 80cm around the waist and weight 100kg now 100 kg would be overweight but 80cm is very healthy for a male the measure of 80cm is around the waist over the belly button.
it is not the weight that kills it is the fat around the middle that kills and that causes problems
i have lost 2.5cm already since starting and that is great
hoping to get this thread going again and to encourage/support people on their weight ls journey
Hope i can join in..
I need support.. I gained only water weight while pregnant lost it all a few days after bubs was born... with in a few months i had gained almost 1okilos:( .. I have been walking everday trying to eat better, just hard with a young bub.
weighed myself yesterday i have lost 3kg.. just want to feel good about myself again..
