Ruth - that sounds pretty good! I must find some shake recipes. the only shakes I know are full of ice cream!
Nadine - LOL @ thae butt you can bounce a coin off of! I would love that too. My body goal is to have a nice and toned tummy and for my legs to have a nice, toned and defined look to them. I can see the muscle starting to come through, there is still a lot of fat around it tho!
Kaz - not sure about those scales. Are they digital? Cause I know with my digital if I go on them again after my first weigh, they'll be different!! When I first got them I was driving myself insane cause the weights were all different. Now I know exactly where I need to stand to get my first weigh in (that I am relatively happy with LOL)
Hey All :)
Last weeks weight: 71.3kg
This mornings weight: 71.8kg
Dont know what happened cause Saturday night at 7pm I weighed myself and I was 71kg, but that was probably because I hadnt eaten much all day cause of my dive course. But I did have HJ's for dinner so thats probably why!! Not sure if I will get to 69kg by the 3rd of feb - I hope I will!
Hey!
Did the chicken thing this morning :( did not go to weigh-in at WW. Went to the gyne instead - yes I feel it was that bad and bloated
About 70.5kg this morning- should be more, feel more - my tummy feel like a HUGE baloon. Had MUCH MORE than my fair share of ice-cream this weekend and have been gorging myself on suckers and home baked bread (that is probably what is causing me to have this "airy" problem) - I hate the heat!!
Anyhooo - back on the wagon from tomorrow. I had a lemon-poppy muffin and TWO fruit smoothies for breakfast - and a peach and a tall glass of cooldrink AND a gorgous oily-ciabatta with beef, mayo and cucumber for lunch - yum-yum!! :(
Do you find that when it's this hot its hard to stay on the straight and narrow? I mean I am practically drooling for the watermelon in the fridge, but cutting it sounds like work and taking a popsicle out of the fridge is soooo much less work - I am being silly
AND I don't know what came over me, but I am on a baking spree. Am going to make a beetroot and carrot cake sometime this week (I KNOW - dont want to slice a watermelon, but can start up the oven for a cake!!! )
Chip up Veronica, hun, 500g is probably just a bit of water :)
Where are all the rest of the support panel ???? :p HELOOOOO anyone, out there ???
Why oh why is it always the boobs that shrink first!!! I swear I've lost a good cup size from my bust since the new years campaign to lose weight began! Meanwhile my bum is as huge as ever!
Things have been going well for me diet wise. I'm just plodding along on my 1200 calories per day and I'm finding that I'm really happy with it. I'm finding things to do with my time other than eat.
Exercise wise - very very bad. Haven't done a single thing since Monday's step class! And I don't have an excuse of a baby to look after or anything like some of you others.
Tonight will be a challenge. Dinner with my parents and brother and sister. They are complicated and seeing them always makes me stressed (mainly becuase sister has bi polar). So I'm going to safe guard myself from over eating with them by wearing my favourite bracelet , putting some lavender oil on my wrist for relaxation and drinking lots of water.
Hope you are all going well!
Ruth
hi girls.
I forgot to put my weighin in here on tuesday!
Ok i have gained but AF is resposible ;)
last weighin (2 weeks ago) 63.8
This weighin - 63.9
jumped on the scales again this morning 63.2 so def af caused the gain
Hmmm. Apparently I weigh 68.9 again. I'm sure that's not right!
Anyone seen the "pharmacy choice" weight loss shakes? I'm thinking of getting some to have for brekky.
this week i refuse to get on the scales!!!
maybe next week! so depressed!
I seem to be going steady at 70.5kg - but at the rate I am eating that in itself are a wonder!!!
I have decided that from Monday (it's dd's birthday tomorrow and party on Saturday, so I don't want to set myself up for failure) I am going on a fruit & veg only for the week (5 days) Then I'll add some lean meat for three days and THEN I'll try some carbs (bread, pasta) again. I hate going off a food group - but I am desperate and I just need a change in the "eat-healthy" routine. Sounds silly, but I need to reboot my system.
Also I was not in the gym this week, I have a flu-sinus-throat-virus-thing brewing so I am still blah-blah from that
:p I agree - don't you just love the way you loose weight first in places you did not really want or notice?? Like your face, neck, bb's, wrists and ankles. BUT you have to BEG your arse and thighs to shake some of that fat!!! :)
I lost another 700g this week... slow & steady LOL...
Going for another 12km walk tomorrow.... will have Alexa in the pram this time so will be interesting LOL...
re-weighed this morning - 73.6KG which is more like it. So I'm losing weight, WOOHOOO!
Yay for Kazbah!
Congrats on your loss too Mitch - 700g is really good! Enjoy (or at least complete) your 12k walk. That's massive!
Nadine, good luck with your strict diet and hope you feel better soon and can get back to the gym.
Thanks Ruth, to be honest I feel worse today :( , yesterday I planned on going to gymclass this morning, but coughed my lungs out and decided to skip. Really hope I get better over the weekend. Have dd's b/day party tomorrow, so I have to suck it up
70.3kg today. <sigh>
well i have reached the 2/3rds mark! i ahve lost 10.1 kg and have 5.0 to go!
SW:73.1
CW:63.0
Mini Goal :61.8
GW:58
Hey everyone!!
I am NOT happy with my weight loss... I have seriously hit a wall!!! :wall:
On Saturday night I weighed 70.4kg but this morning I weighed 71.2kg!! AHH!! I dont think I am going to reach 69kg by this Sunday :( I'm starting to question if I can get down to 69kg or is 71kg my weight.... I am still breastfeeding so maybe my body is holding on to some fat? I do feel great and I look great. Well there is still a lot of fat/flab that needs to go but other than that, I am the skinniest I have ever been since meeting DH nearly 4 years ago!! Hopefully I will get past this wall soon...
Alrighty, going to revisit my stats..
Weight after pgncy: 96kg
Weight back in September when I started to get serious about it: 84.5kg
Last weeks weight: 71.4kg
This mornings weight: 71.2kg
Mini goal by 3rd of Feb: 69kg but dont think thats going to happen!!
Ideal weight: 65kg, hopefully I can get there but if I dont, I am happy where I am!!
OK.. just thought that I would humour myself and jump on the scales again and weighed 70.9kg.. hmmm weighing first thing in the morning just doesnt work for me!! So MAYBE just maybe I can get down the 69kg by sunday.. I will be happy with anything between 69 and 70kg
hi all,
hope you dont mind if I join in!
I have put on about 28kgs in the last 5-6yrs, and about 10 of them last year (found out I was pg and just let it all hang. the mc made me emotionally binge on lots of choc etc....)
anyway, I decided new year, new me, I bought some of the optifast shakes and bars and for 2 weeks have been replacing 1-2 meals a day with them.
I currently have no operating scales so dont know how much I weigh or how much I have lost, but my bra doesnt fit so well anymore and my pants are definately looser!! yay!!
I have been reading your posts and you have all inspired me immensley!
I hate exercise, have only ever been to a gym once, so I try to get as much incidental exercise as I can, luckily I dont drive, so I have to walk mostly everywhere.
good luck with your goals everyone, you all seem to be doing very well!
Hi starrysky - welcome and all the best for your weight loss journey. I've got around the same amount to go to my goal weight - so we may both be hanging out in this thread for a while!
Tonight is my end of January weigh-in! I'm hoping to have lost 4kg in January. I think that going back on my thyroid tablets and getting my implanon removed have made a big difference (mind you I'm still waiting on AF to return!).
My most recent discovery - low fat creamed cottage cheese. If you use your imagination it kinda tastes like cream cheese!
Welcome starry sky.... I have also put on about 10kg in the last year.. & am not an exercise person either LOL... but I am better than I used to be... baby steps is all it takes....
Ruth... I am hoping to reack 4k this mnth too... but have a feeling that I have had a slight slide in the wrong direction this week !!!!..
thanks for the welcome! this has got to be one of the worst times of the year for me, most of my extended families birthdays are in the first 3 months of the year, you know what that means, lots of dinners, cakes, dips, crackers etc......I have resisted temptation with the cake so far, not easy with my family, they are definately feeders!!
anyway, hoping to have some new scales this week, I think I need the reality of seeing how much I do actually weigh, and hopefully the boost of seeing it come off.
last time I weighed myself I was around 76-78 kgs, but I may have put on since then, and lost some too!
wishing you all well with your goals.
Welcome Starrysky!! And all the best for your weight loss journey.
I weighed myself this morning and guess what, I am 69.8kg!! YAY I cant believe it. I am 800grams away from my first goal weight. I worked out why I hadnt lost anything they other day, AF wsa just around the corner!! I have never weighed myself when I was getting AF so it was a surprise to see if drop the next day.
Welcome Starrysky!
Ruth, fingerscrossed for your weigh in :)
VERONICA!!!! Congratulations!!!! Its amazing, you lost 26.2kg in just over SIX MONTHS!! That is a healthy weightloss of about 4.4kg a month. YOU GO GIRLFRIEND :) :) I am sooo excited for you. How do you keep your DH's hands off you :p
After a shamefull weigh in of 71.4kg on Monday (flu, dd's birthday party, NO excercise and bloated) I just got off the scale 70.1kg! Sounds impressive, but it's purely just water I think. I am waiting for AF on Monday, but am hoping to be at the 69.4kg mark for Monday morning's weigh in.
I have discoverd the amazing wafer biscut :( Am gorging myself, but I keep telling myself it's bettter than chocolate ;)
January Weigh In Result: 3.6kg in January! Yay I'm happy with that! Now I'm down to 98.9 and I'm aiming for 95kg by the end of February.
Eating has been going quite well and exercise is getting there too. Work stress is creating a bit of a problem - on one hand I'm nauseous because I'm stressed so don't eat, but then I want to eat when I get home to deal with the stress!
Hubby wants to start TTC even though I'm 20kg away from goal weight!
Congratulations Ruth!! I am so happy for you. Getting down to 95 by end of Feb is very do-able :)
another loss here!
SW: 73.1
last week: 63.0
this week: 62.5
GW:58
I weight in at ... *drum roll* ... 70.4kg - so what else is new???
I can't seem to get past this. OK, to be really honest, I am not really trying. I feel hungry ALL THE TIME and crave sweets ALL THE TIME. I am not picking up any weight, but I am not losing either.
I have decided that I am going to stick it out for Feb (not going well  ) and if I am still on 70 after Feb, I am going to stay there. Then I have to accept that that is the healthy weight for my body. I'll might just try to lose that last 4kg's in the winter - better for me for dieting, more soup, less ice-cream
I hear your frustration Nadine. Maybe your body likes 70kg?!?! Sounds like a good plan to see what happens in Feb!
Last week has been a bit hairy re food AND exercise. My excuses: birthday, thought I might have been pregnant (even though not TTC) and work stress. So from Saturday (after parties) I am back on track 100% - need to stop eating too much food!!!
I'm planning to go to Step tommorrow morning and Pump on Friday - so some one needs to whip me if I don't.
Hello Everyone
I hope you don't mind me popping in but i really need some support with my weight loss. I currently am a lare woman and would eventually love to drop at least 40 kilos.....i know it is a lot to move but it is worth a try. I am currently TTCing with my husband as we really want another baby but i think with the help of some weight loss we may have a better chance. I am starting at the Gym on Monday and am looking at losing 5 kilos at a time. My first Goal is to be 100 kilos which is roughly 10 or so kilos away. I would love some support and ideas with nutrition if anyone has any as we are very plain eaters and would like some new ideas to keep us going.
Hope we can all support each other
Trac
Welcome Trac! Sounds like a great plan for your weightloss! I hope you enjoy the gym - I'm a bit gym fan.
Welcome Trac :)
Well, you would not believe the words that are coming out of my mouth, but ... 70.6kg this morning!!!! AGGGGGGGGG frustrating. I am not eating right, but still ARGGGGGGG frustrating
Starting a new leaf this morning (yeah, yeah ) no, really. Had my bodyfat% taken and it's 31.5%, so I can work on that. Any tips from anyone on how to REALLY get that % a bit lower faster????
passed my 2nd mini goal this morning!!!
SW 73.1
last week 62.5
This week 61.8!!!
GW 58
Nadine body fat has to do with you metabolism and muscle mass. make sure you eat within 1/2 an hour of getting up and keep working out. you may need to increase the level of weight you are doing and keep an eye on your calorie intake ;)
Well done Alioops! Great work. Almost there!
I'm hoping I haven't gained over the past two weeks... but it's not looking promising! Definately need to get my butt into gear: gym, hynotherapy CD, exercise DVDs, calorie counting, thyroid medicine. Why is it that I can't do what I need to do to lose weight? I wonder if I have some deep seated psychological barrier...
hey everyone!!
I am not really on the forum these days but i thought I would jump on this morning and say that I have finally reached my goal of 69kg!! This morning I am actually 68.9kg!!!! I have reset my goal to 65kg now, not sure if i will get there as weight loss is slow these days, but I am happy with where I am at now, but still got to work on my tummy!!
Better go, got a baby to feed before getting to the gym.
I hope everyone is happy with where they are at!!
Well done Veronica!
Ummm well. Here's where I'm up to:
Weight fluctuating between 75.1 and 73.8kgs. Not sure how that happens, but hey!
Nothing fitting me though, had a huge hissy fit the other day trying on my work clothes. So needing to get toned in 2 weeks. ARGHHHHHhhhh.
Going to try the waist diet in the Feb issue of Aust Womens' Health, see if that makes a difference.
Hello Ladies
Well Done to everyone losing weight
Well i am not happy as i have been going to the gym for 3 weeks now and don't think i have lost a thing. I can feel it in my clothes nothing has change and there is no movement on the scales. Just disappointed:wall:
Well here's to a better week:crossfingers::crossfingers::crossfingers:
Thanks for listening
Trac
Trac - keep going, maybe mix things up at the gym?
This thread has been quiet for a while!
Just thought I would let you all know I am very close to my GW, only around a KG to go, and it is having trouble budging! any ideas? has my body decided that i cant get that low again? I am yet to try my wedding dress on again, might do that tonight if I remember. I am back to office work but trying to remain active and stay away from the junk food.
new thread is here https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...pport-4-a.html
