Bit of a thought....
The biggest loser have a new 'families' series coming up..... how about the BB family??
know what shiata me to tears...
there's
a life line
a quit line
to ring when things go pear shaped but there isnothing for people who are trying to lose weight and need someone to talk to when then feel like reaching out :(
Sushi hon you are absolutely right. Im planning on doing more exercise once my bottom end is fixed :(
That's such a sweet idea!
I wanna be in, too!!
OK, so I'm 94kg  and would like to be just under 70... Looooong way away!! If I want to be at my perfect BMI I should only weigh 62kg :o but that seems kinda unrealistic to me atm. I don't remember EVER being at that weight (apart from maybe when I was 14...) And TBH, I was just recently still at 108kg, so 70 sounds pretty good to me right now (don't want to be too greedy )
I still have a long way ahead of me, and although being fat should be motivation enough, sometimes I just need a kick in the butt! That's were this thread hopefully comes in!!
Good luck everyone!!! :bluecheer: :cheer:
(Oh and hello Nettie :hello: nice to see you!!)
:hello: back! Do I know you under another name?
Oscar - I'll be PM-ing you honey! I'm a tough nut as I'm not your average bear... I believe in whole foods and refuse to have low-fat or artificial sweeteners. Just need to learn to have smaller portions and eat what I feel like and not try to substitute things (never works and I just end up eating more!)

We are very similar hun and I can so relate. My highest was 104Kg when DD was 6mths old. I am now down to 88Kg and aiming for around 70Kg as well. I think 68Kg is a BMI of 25 for me so would love to be that as that is the higher of the healthy range and when I was this weight, I was a size 10 with muscles and curves and still had boobs (I think my body will always have boobs though LOL).
We can all do it! :cheer:
Sushee- You are so right about it being a combination of what is put in our bodies and what is taken out (through exercise). Exercise helps your body get a gorgeous shape to it and still look curvy without being flabby or underweight.
I cant remember who said about getting thyroid check but that is good advice. When I was at my biggest, I went to the doctors as I seriously thought there must be something wrong with me so I got a full blood set done and thyroid check and it all came back fine. I was relieved to know I didnt have thyroid problems but also it was good to know that I couldnt jsut use it as one of my excuses for being the weight I was. It was all down to me.
Weightwatchers gave me a great kickstart to my weightloss and I found it great as it isnt a diet. I have also been working on losing weight through the 12wk BB challenge that Krysallis started. Maybe we can do another one after this finishes. I think if we have a few of these going through the next year, it will help keep us on track. I like RR's idea about the Biggest Loser BB comp.
Also I highly recommend checking out Lucy's blog (member on BB) she has lost an incredible amount of weight all through hard work and change of lifestyle. I'll try and find the link for it.
Although I've still a way to go in this pregnancy, I have some fat directly under my ribs that I need to shift. I'm 76kg at last weigh-in (before the GC) and I just returned my scales to get serviced!!!
Last pregnancy I didn't put on weight, I was 78kg at delivery and 69kg when I went home, would like to be similar again, and then get down to 64kg. Pref 60kg. Dream-like 55kg ;)
I really don't want to be puffing my way up a single flight of steps like I currently am :(
I don't know how much i weigh. I chose to not own scales. Instead i weigh myself every time i am at the doctors. This works for me as i find scales to interfere with my perception of my weight and therefore my moods. Like most women I retain water at certain times of the month and this shouldn't be considered as weight gain. On the opposite end of the sprectrum: dehydration shouldn't be seen as weight loss... very easy to do! I find the best method of assessing weight is to go by how your clothes fit. I have to keep at 3 sizes of jeans that range between 10 and 14 because of my thyroid related weight fluctuations. At the moment my size 12's are snug bit are still comfy... my 14s are still loose but are not falling off me like they would have 2 years ago. I think that size 12 is about right for my skeleton (I am a bit over 5 foot 7 with big bones... size 9 shoe).... I could just do with a bit of toning. I possibly got down into the high 50s when i was very sick (hyperthyroid) and would estimate that i am in the high 60s now. I suspect 65kg would be my ideal weight.
ETA: started a thread about scales HERE
Netti: Hihi! That's ok! We talked in the 'Fitness chat and tips #3' thread...
But maybe I just fee like I know you so well because I've been stalking you too much!!
*not in a creepy way, though!* ;)
You're my inofficial 'Plantar faciitis Buddy' (Sorry, havn't told you yet ) You recommended the awsome Orthotics!! Thanks by the way! They are working a treat!!
 Great job!! I'm sure you'll get to your goal weight soon! Do you have any weightloss secrets/tips? How did you stay motivated? I'm hitting a wall at the moment...Also, what kind of exercise do you do?
 Me too!!! I've got huuuuge boobies :o Whether my body is big or small, they (the bb's) ALWAYS stay big! (not that dp is complaining...)
Does anyone know where to get sportsbras for big boobies from? Because I can't find any...
In regards to exercise, i'll be doing the couch to 5kms thing. I'll also start walking DD to school. I'd do that now but my SPD won't let me.
im hoping i get into tafe and then will be catching public transport and walking a couple of kms a day...isnt much but more than what i do now (front door to car, or round the shops) lol...
Well I got off to a cracking start today, NOT....
I started ok this morning but failed miserably when I had to go to the supermarket and hadn't eaten & was hungry.
Will not do that again if I can help it :p
Yep im hearing you Fleur. I officially start TF on monday so i have been slack with that in back of my mind.
Plus im working 14 hours tomorrow so i will probably snack all day on crap.lol
Nettie: Don't sweat it! There are wayyyy too many stalkers to remember! I find it's a lot harder to remember people when they don't have an avvy.... I should really get one!! Lot's of squishy  to you!
Maz: We have to be good! No more Knackwaust for us!!! ;)
I'm in!! Ok, well not just yet, but in about .... 2 months time (give or take) I can be in! I have my sisters wedding in Nov 2011 and I'll be bridesmaid, and I have to wear a strapless knee length HOT PINK friggen dress! So I have to look smokin' hot.
My aim is to get to 60kg. I know I can do it, just got to get motivated once bub is born.
I am in on this one! I have recently started a new eating program and have currently lost 6kg. So will be good to have some where to discuss it and give me more motivation.
I sat down and worked out an eating plan taking into consideration the order our bodies use different things we put in our mouths. (Sugar, starch, carbs, protein, what ever is left in the stomach and then body fat).
Start weight:99kg
Goal weight :around 60kg
Here goes!!! keep up the weight loss ladies, good luck!!
Sjl
Welcome SJL!
Let's stay motivated!! *..Raupe mumbles through a mouth full of candied almonds...*
I really should join you ladies too. I need motivation BIG TIME!
I'm stuck at a certain weight and can't seem to move past it. It's so frustratinggg. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I also find winter a huge de-motivator. lol. It's cold and stuff. :p
I much prefer winter! I HATE the heat and spend all summer half-dead on the couch trying to escape it... In winter I'm all up and running (and cycling). I just love it. Just wear some warm clothes and a nice scarfe and it will be good!
I just love how the air is so crisp and clear in winter. It's soo refreshing. (maybe that's because I can't breathe in summer and am always near passing out).
... thought i'd pop in to make my confessions, i've been feeling down the past couple weeks (personal issues i'm struggle to sort out) and have gone off the beaten track and nearly flipped when i hopped on the scales yesterday to find i have put on 3kilo's, OMG now that makes me feel a whole lot better NOT, wahhh :(
Hey all, I will join
Current weight 80kg
Goal weight 70kg
Currently sz14 would love 12
Still bf so hope it helps though does add a couple kg, I was 72 when bub was born and some how it all crept back on
Gonna try eating healthier maybe cut down on bread and pasta since I eat heaps of it and do more housework since I need to and I cbf excercising lol
Smiles big  hun i hope you feel less stressed soon
I just jumped on the scales and i have lost wait for it 4.2kg omg i cant believe it.. I have been sick so i would say half is because of that but i am proud i am finally making a start as i have a long way to go..
Hi Ladies!
I plan to shed the last 10kgs over the next few months also! Hopefully I can keep it all off in time for Sydney!
I am going to go back on the Calorie King website like last time. I lost a total of 8kgs in about 6 weeks and have continued to lose bits and pieces since then. The CK diet was great for me as it taught me about meal portions and intake etc. Since then it seems to have continued to work for me.
I started at 90 and I am down to 80 now. My original goal was to get to 75 but now that I am at 80 I am aiming for 70.
Once we've moved and settled I will start it then. So prolly mid August I would say.
Good luck to you all!
x
who hoo oooooh Ads that is darn blardy FANTASTIC :cheer:
(thanks Jods & Abs  hugs to you two too !! ... had a bombshell dropped on me recently when having my very first eye test/checkup at the Opt, apart from my having blurred vision due to side effects to surgery drugs this year and it came time for eyes to be checked by an Opt via GP request, not only do i find that i have to have reading glasses now but a 'spot' has been found behind my eye which has caused serious concern so i have to have that further checked out next week. I'm just over serious health issues that keep arising, you'd think a skin cancer scare where i now have a chunk missing in my arm to gall bladder surgery with complications just within months was enough, i just don't need more crap ... So sorry gals for my whinge, so out of character for me  ... i guess just explaining my feeling down and also it doesn't help i have a friend who is due to have her twins soon who has nothing but whinge to me about being pregnant for the past nearly 9mths, and every conversation is about the babies and nothing else and she tells me every little detail when she fully well knows we have tried for years for a second baby, can't remember last time she asked about myself or DD, might have been last year i'm not joking, so i'm pretty much over the friendship not that it really was one  Like i said to DP if someone can't ask a single question about you or your DD for that amount of time well clearly they ain't interested in you anymore, i rarely ring her ... she rings me and i just don't get why ??)
 Keep up the good work lovely ladies, ... hope to join you all again sooner rather then later and minus the whinge, LOL
