ooo good answer turkish hehe
Ha ha! Nope not working out. Couldnt get onto BB last night so here is yesterdays diary entry...
Steps: forgot to put my pedometer on. But rode 20mins to work and played two games of soccer last night.
Bfast: coffee with light soymilk and one sugar (naughty I know but I was late for work)
Mtea: 2 small anzac bikkies
Lunch: Salad sandwich which cheese and low fat mayo
Atea: banana , arrowroot bikkie, coffee with light soymilk and one sugar
Dinner: Miso soup plus brown rice.
Other: 1 small square of dark chocolate
Am happy with how I am going as my skin is looking better and I feel good. Had a nice loss this week of 1.3kg. Only 3cm off in total though but ok with that. If I could just get rid of this tummy I would be ok with the rest. Sounds like everyone else is doing really well!
Turkish - your cm loss is amazing!
Am off to pm my measurements. xo
Krys - know how you feel about tum tums. I have a little apron belly which hangs which i'd love to get rid off. The weight is coming off but my tum tum still hangs. I loathe it. I'm doing 2 ab classes a week to get rid of it.
My a*se and midriff are looking damn fine tho ;) And when i get my boob job in October, that will finish off a neat little package.
Watch out world here i come!
Turkish - oh I'm with you on the belly bit
My yay for the week - 1.1kg and 4cm lost YAY! Admittedly I'm post AF and I think it's mostly due to that  but hey I'm not complaining! And I HAVE been walking more (mainly due to bub not sleep ).
and yes it has been quiet... I haven't been MIA due to working out tho lol. Just... um... busy really! I'm very impressed with everyone going to the gym... I haven't made it near my Wii Fit yet, mebbe this week!
YAY on the loss belfie!! Im addicted to the Wii Fit at the mo but its still new for us so may still be a novelty hehe
Belfie, that is a FANTASTIC loss
Walking to lose weight is great, that's how i lost my first 10-12kgs. Then you have start walking at an incline since your bod gets used to it.
Tonight, i have my 1.5hr workout regime which includes 25-30mins jogging (so NOT looking forward to that) and then 1 hour fat burner class. I like doing aerobics. I am extremely unco at body step though. Just couldn't co-ordinate the arms, legs and the whole step thingy.
Todays diary:
Steps: 8000 + 30mins yoga
Bfast: toast, mushroom, tomato, baked beans, feta, skinny cappucinno
Mtea:
Lunch: noodle with vegies
Atea: arrowroot bikkie, anzac bikkie, coffee with light soymilk and one sugar
Dinner: Gado gado
Other: 1 small square of dark chocolate, 2 peppermint teas, crumpet topped with stewed apple and rhubarb
See you all tomorrow!
1.9kg loss!!! But I weighed on normal scales not wiifit so I dunno about accuracy!
My wiifit tells me im lighter than my scales so might be a bigger loss?
I had the same problem when weighing between my work scales which are better quality and digital and my home scales that get picked up and thrown about by a 2 year old. lol. Unfortunately for me my work scales weigh me at 3.5kg heavier than my home ones. But I decided to use only those ones this time just because of the accuracy - even though it made me feel a little like I had gone backwards.
Im too scared to get on the wiifit now in case of difference! I weighed after dinner last night too so I was thiking it would be bad!
AF has finally finished (2 weeks ****) I think I will be getting implanon out if it is like this next time. I am feeling so low in iron and there is only so much steak a girl can eat
Sorry for not being around, have been working 45 hours, on my feet constantly for six-eight hours at a time so i am hoping it is helping. I also drink loads and loads of water at work.
My DF just was dismissed from his job, no reason given but he was a temp so they could fire him whenever, so think he might become SAHD and I might just work... depends how the financial situation works out.
Anyway, might jump on the wiifit for a more accurate reading later. Congratulations on all the fabbo losses! Belfie, krysalyss, Turkish WOOHOOO!! And Amy small losses are still big steps, hopefully AF stays away for you this month ;)
Better run it's lunchtime.
Arg i hope she stays away too dammit hehe
Long hours on your feet must be helping! Hope so!!
Have a good one!
Krys where did you get your step counter thingy from? I think i need one of those hehe!
I didn't get to weigh myself this week because of my cold :( as I didn't get to the gym. I didn't do much exercise either but I am on the mend now so back into the swing of things this week!
I am really struggling with this weight loss challenge. Just don't have my heart in it...I want to shed the weight but something isn't working for me. Have some emotional issues atm which are weighing rather heavily on my mind so I think until I get through them nothing elese is going to shift. Bit depressing. I have also been very very stressed of late too.....think it is related to my 'issues'.
Yesterday I went for a 40 minute walk in the rain with DS#2. I hate rain with a passion so to do that is a massive plus for me.
Food side is okay. Have redued the size of a lot of meals although some nights I find myself serving up a big meal for myself coz I am so blumin hungry by then.
My measurements went up this week....I have either expanded or I am not measureing properly each week which is very annoying. However, I have gone down a notch in my one and only belt...go figure!?!
Water consumption - always good!
Had a look on the WW site the other night and was very impressed with their firness info. Will go back and check it out again today.
Two questions....
WW girls - how does this join for $1 thing work.....
Jenny Craig girls - does it really only cost $7 per week.......how does JC work? Is it the same as WW.
Well doen to everyone with a loss this week and to those who stayed the same. For those of us not happy with the results (when they get posted!)....good luck for this week. I almost pulled the pin but did not want to label myself as a quitter so am sticking with it.....
xxxx
Sorry youre having a hard time Vix, i feel similar in that im disapointed when i only have small losses even tho i feel im working out a whole lot more than i used to!
Glad to hear youre feeling better Nai!! Good job getting back into the swing of things right away!!
AFM; Netball last night, we lost, i played a SHOCKING game but you win some you lose some!! Lol. Gym tonight, cant wait. Its good im excited to go to the gym!! Just wish i was getting better results!! Have a great day ladies!
Hi Aamy - I got this one at Big W but you can also get them from Amart Allsports etcs. Get a small one with a good clip as the last one I had kept coming off. Grrr. Also if you can get one with a sensitivity adjuster as the readings change depending on your pants and the position.
Well yesterday was ok:
Steps: Around 10,000
Bfast: Weetbix with honey and light milk
Mtea: Rice cakes with light cream cheese, tomato and pickle
Lunch: rice cakes with margerine and marmite
Atea: orange plus coffee with light soy milk and one sugar
Dinner: Couscous with vegies and satay sauce
Other: 1 small square of dark chocolate plus peppermint tea
Today hasn't been quite so good.
So far (will update again later)
Steps: 10000 + plus 20 mins exercise bike
Bfast: weetbix with honey and soymilk

Atea: small home-made sausage roll (with vege sausage), coffee with skim milk and one sugar
Dinner: 1/4 vege pizza with extra vegies
Other: 1 small square of dark chocolate
Will have to do some kind of exercise tonight to make up for it. Am feeling a bit crappy though as DS has just been in the worst mood. Last night he woke up at middnight and screamed for an hour, this morning the same, and again this afternoon. Don't know what is going wrong but it is really hard. Feel like comfort food but trying to resist more damage than I have already done today!
One good thing is that I went to a physiotherapist yesterday for shin splints and sore feet/knee and she said everything was to do with my flat feet (which I didnt know I had) and she gave me stretches and I have to get orthopaedic insoles which should sort it out. Yay! nothing too bad.
Hi Everyone,
I have been MIA - didn't even measure myself this week . . sorry, was becoming addicted to BB and told myself not to look at anything for a week, serves ,me right, now I have all this catch up reading to do and can't remember everything.
Cherished - Congrats!!!!
Everyone who lost weight - even 100g, YAY, YAY, YAY.
Everyone who didn't, well, we will have good weeks and bad weeks, this challenge is good because it keeps us accountable and means we can remotivate. I feel like I am doing well this week, so hopefully will have 2 weeks worth of measurements to report on Tuesday.
Krysalus - Wow, good work on recording your intake and output, it really makes you think before you eat something if you know you'll have to write it down hey.
Bub is teething (so my mother tells me, I see no teeth) but nappy rash for the first time EVER a few times and sudden outbursts for not reason, and barely eating or drinking much when she's usually such a guts and needs to be cuz she's only wittle and not a chubba, but she's not sick at all and is still giggly and happy most of the time so who knows. I am hating this rain, I am hating indoor excercise at the moment even though I have the means to do it. Rain, Rain go Away.
Morning champs!
Just popped onto see the results...stil not up yet....I wonder if the server crashing is the reason.
I just looked back over the week and I have done 3 x 40 minute walks pushing a pram plus an hr one which was in the rain.
Have a good weekend!
Hi guys, well yesterday was a total right off (Sizzler at lunch - need I say more) but at least I played soccer last night to redeem myself slightly. I paid for the lunch in the afternoon though as I felt terrible and my brain was just mush. Today is a lot better so far and feeling good.
So far:

Bfast: Wholemeal toast with avocado, mushrooms, olives, semi-dried tomato. Plus coffee with light soy and one sugar
Mtea: kiwifruit, banana, large coffee with normal soy and 2 sugars
Lunch: salad with avo, home-made croutons, almonds, olives.
Atea: 2 arrowroot bikkies, coffee with light soy milk and one sugar
Dinner: stirfried vegies with brown rice

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry that I haven't updated the stats in the first post until now - have had a shocking week last week - the af from hell (OMG it was like lochia it was so heavy!) and then the BB issues, but it is all updated now. Just in time to do it all again on Wednesday ROFL. And Kas, so sorry to have forgotten to add you to the first page  but you are there now.
Aliash, I have added you in too :)
As for me - I really have to get my butt into gear - SIL is getting married in 4 months time *YIKES!* so I am trying to get to a 15kg loss by then, which is only 0.8 per week, so I think it's attainable.
I have a wedding to attend in October Trill so trying to do the same hehe! Gotta look smashing when i see the old school chums ... right? hehe
Oh also my user name has changed from aamy4 to Ammaki =D
Trill for some reason or another my pms are being sent but i haven't been added to the 1st page can you please let me know if you are receiving them
Hi all, I have been MIA- It is report time at work, and so I hae been up to my eye balls in marking and writing, appropriate & tactful comments. I have been reall slack with eating/ excercising and I have been sick too. But as of today I am back on the wagon, I start a 12 week challenge with my PT group on Wednesday and I am hoping to loose between 8-10 kgs in that time, just in time to start TTC in Sept.
Will weight and measure tomorrow even though I dont think I would have done well!!
Hi everyone. Todays entry:

Bfast: Weetbix with honey and light milk, coffee with light soy and one sugar

Didn't end up weighing today as I got to work late so will do tomorrow morning. Good luck with all of your weigh-ins!
Weighed in this morning and lost a big 1.8kg! Can't believe it! Lost 2cms around bust, 1 around tummy, 1 around hips. I think my weight loss will probably start to slow down a bit now as my body gets used to everything but hoping so much I can lose 1kg a week.
Hope everyone also had a good result this week.
Morning Krys! I gained 100g and gained a cm on my hips but lost 6cm off my bust and 3.5 off my waist!!! I hope i measured right hehe
Wow, that is great Krys. I am sooo envious.
I haven't even measured myself or weighed myself. I haven't hit the gym for 1 week. I have been binging out on chocolate and bread. I don't want to even hop on the scales. I can feel a roll of fat on my midriff.
My matron of honour dress comes in about 2 weeks time and i have lost motivation :crying:
I need help!!!!!!
You're so close to your goal Turkish!! Have you looked back over all your progress?! Put the chocolate down and step awayyyy from the bench!! Hehe. You've done so amazing to lose 15.5kg! You CAN lose those final few! You're envious of Krys but im envious of your weightloss lol i keep gaining then losing tiny amounts!
I'm dropping out!
I'm putting far to much pressure on my self to try and kick butt in the challenge but I keep going backwards!
I'm seeing my Doc on Thursday and maybe she can point me in the right direction!
Good luck with your journey ladies!
awww sorry to hear MK!! Goodluck with your doc! I hope you reach your goals!!
That is so funny Amy. I can just picture myself putting the chocolate down as if it were a pistol and backing away from the bench with my hands in the air.
You are sooo right. I know i have done well. It has been a hard 18 months. I love the feeling of wearing my size 10 pants but i also love the taste of chocolate and once i start i can't stop eating it.
I hate jogging, that is my problem. I have been putting it off. Phew. I've confessed it. I HATE JOGGING. But i need to increase my intensity to burn the fat and to get off my plateau. I will load up some new music onto my MP3 player after work and hit the gym for some running. As i run, i keep chanting to myself, only 7 songs to go, 6 songs to go. I do manage it, but just. I don't mind the weights side of it, its the cardio....
haha that is an amusing visual!! Arg i dream to wear size 10!!
I went shopping on the weekend spent 3 hours looking and found nothing i liked!! Nothing that fit anyway! Why is it all the larger sized clothes are like full on mumus or grandma floral print. So frustrating!!
Gym tonight, i dont mind the walking/running as long as i have something to distract myself like music or tv haha.
Did a bit on the wii this morning will do 10 mins warm up on treadmill (gym) at 3.5km then 20 mins at 5km jogging at 7 or 8km for like 30 seconds every now and then then back down. I tend to get pains in my shins if i run too long o nthe treadmill, a friend at work said something about shin splinters or something which is wierd coz i dont get them playing netball and thats like 30 minutes of running! Then 10 minutes on the cross trainer (elliptical?) then i sort of wander around the weights and use the ab cruncher one and a few others. But i think mainly i need to work on the cardio side of things to get the weight loss pumping? Am i right or wrong? Any gym junkies out there that can gimme advice?
I tend to get some recipies off calorie king and i found one for Double Chocolate Fudgies maybe they are a better option for your chocolate obsession hehe or maybe look for recipies (low fat etc) that are chocolatey to feed your cravings. Just an idea =D
Hi guys!
Ammaki - I have shin splints at the moment. I didn't get them from soccer but from jogging which I am not doing at the moment. I went to a physiotherapist last week and found out my feet are rolling in. It is really common especially from jogging. I now have ortho-insoles to line my feet up right. I can really feel the difference. I only wish I could have realised before so I could have prevented it in the first place. Oh well. Great work on the cms loss. Don't worry about the gain - it is miniscule.
Turkish delight - Don't you dare lose motivation! You are my inspiration. I am where you were - just under 80kg now - and you are where I want to be. So don't be envious of me! Remember it is easier to lose more (in kg) the heavier you are. With the chocolate - only buy a mini pack eg a 3 pack of ferrero rocher so even if you eat the whole thing you haven't done too much damage. Secondly - maybe you are just bored with your exercise? If you switch to something else you will get a good result because you will be using different muscles. Even though I ride my bike to work I jumped on the exercise bike in front of the tv and it was soo boring and really hard going. Why don't you try a bushwalk or rock climbing or a team sport? I agree that jogging is great for weight loss - I am hoping to add in a jog a bit down the track once my shin splints are gone. But other forms of exercise are too. You will get there!!!
MK - sorry to hear you are leaving us! But I hope you find the right weight loss solution for you with your doctor. Good luck! Come back and visit if you like :)
You girls are WONDERFUL. :grouphug:
I know i've come a long way since my 80kgs days, but it does get hard on some days. I am a naturally fat person. I have always been fat, this is probably the second time in my life that i am this skinny. Before i got married, there was a period where i used to live at the gym. I went down from 70kgs to 50kgs. I was a size 6 when i met DH in 2000. People thought i was a boy as i had the short hair to match. I used to wear really mini skirts and flaunt it and i looked good, but i couldn't maintain it after i had DS. I then gained it all back during the pregnancy and climbed to 95kgs post birth. I was wearing size 20 jeans. I am a short person, only 164cm, so i was a tellytubbie.
I lost the weight again, down to about 65kgs and then it piled back on slowly, until i reached 80kgs. Whilst TTC DD, i was 80kg and couldn't conceive. I had all tests done and they showed that i had PCOS. I was referred to a endocrinologist and told me that i had to lose some weight and i might conceive again. He told me that i was not big but my body could not handle being 80kgs. I lost 10kgs and fell pregnant to DD. I only gained 10kgs during that pregnancy, and lost almost all of it once DD was born.
The weight crept back as i was on maternity leave and when scales read 80kgs, i told myself that i had to do something about it. I was bf at the time, DD was 5 months and was refusing my boobie as bottle was easier.
I gave up bf and my weightloss journey began mid Jan 2008. I joined the local gym. I had the PT there write me a program which was only like 10 mins on the bike and 10 mins walking with some weight work. I remember the rolls of my fat tucking in under my ribs as i cycled on the bike. I was disgusted as how i allowed myself to get this big and determined to lose it.
I fell pregnant to #3 in May 2008 (accident) which i miscarried, may be due to the excercise i was doing or electric blanket i was using, i don't know. I gave up on excercise for a few months as i lost motivation. Didn't gain much weight, which was good. I started to workout again leading up to our cruise in December and gained 4kgs on the cruise in 2 weeks!
I stopped going to the gym for a few months and the weight kept coming back until in April i hopped on the scales and it read 71.5kgs. I was angry for undoing all my hard work, so i began working out again. I have lost about 6-7kgs in 8 weeks (since early April.) So i am proud of my achievement but it does get really hard at times. But as DH says when i give up, i give up on everything. He often tells me that if i binge, i should still go to the gym, or if i don't want to workout eat properly. I can't. I love food, the carbs are too irresistable.
I honestly don't know why i wrote all this  But i have.
Amy - cardio is what you should be working on. Lose the fat. Do weights too as it will build muscle and increase metabolism. I used to do cardio one day and weights with a little cardio the next day and alternate your program each day. You say that you go the gym, get the PTs to write out a program for you, rather than doing things adhoc. They will know what is best for your body and to get great results. As for the shin splits - i had them a few months back, they told me it was my running technique. I have to concentrate when i run now. I think you have to land on your foot flat rather than on the balls of your feet or heels (somebody correct me if i'm wrong). It does hurt. Try taking it easy for a while, so your shins recover. I know the pain.
Krys- You will get there if you keep to what you are doing. It is a long journey, but one worth it. My self esteem is great and so will yours be once you reach your goal. We will all help each other.
I can't thank both of you enough. I will go to the gym tonight. I won't allow myself to undo all the good work that i have done.
Hugs and Kisses to both of you...
See i wear about a 16 or 18 in the pants at the moment but most clothes i have to buy for my top hald are 20-22 because of my boobs and belly! My underwear are like a size 14-16 most of the time so its my boobies and belly i need to lose which i think the crunches are awesome for my belly and i like the fact i can feel it IYKWIM?
The gym i go to have this machine for sit ups that you kind of hold on to some bars behind your head so you cant cheat and use your arms to lift you up (sit up?) lol i have the weights on "4" when i do it (not sure if its 4kg or not?) and i do 20 sit ups at a time then rest for a few minutes and go again!
I have a few friends that are PTs but never really wanted to ask them for help. Might bite the bullet and ask them to do me something up
Im glad youre feeling better about the gym now Turkish! And definately loved reading your journey, kind of gives me hope!! Lol
DEFINATELY hitting the gym tonight!! DP or no DP. He is the reason i didnt make it last night ggrrr hehe
Well I enjoyed reading your story Turkish. My biggest cranky, which DH can't understand is that I do not have a skinny memory. I was mostly chubby as a kid, through high school, and when I hit puberty I balooned up to 85kg size 16 by 15. I lost over 20kg's between 15 & 17 so the lightest I have EVER been (since pre-puberty) is 63kg's. Sz 10-12.
Put on 10kg after married, but lost that again and back down to 63kg before pregnant with DD, and I REALLY tried to be good but just kept piling on weight while pregnant and the damn OB made me feel terrible about it because she weighed me everytime I came in and gave me a lecture on how I should only gain 8-12kg all up, I gained 19, and I had a tiny baby, which I feel guilty about wondering if my trying to not eat too much had something to do with, because I did everything else by the book.
So I am trying to get back down to 63 and out of my Sz 14's. Would love so much to surpass that and actually be skinny for once and see how I look, but I need to eat about 1000-1500 Cal + Exercise just to MAINTAIN 63kg so don't know if it will ever happen. Ce La Vis. Just want to have lost the weight before fall pregnant again.
Hi girls, I feel awful for jumping in at this late stage but hope you all will be okay with it?? Trillian has kindly let me join in. I was doing the New year challenge but lost motivation and became quite depressed after the bushfires here...I am still struggling a bit cause there is'nt much to look at except burnt surroundings but... I have to dust myself off cause being overweight is just damn depressing in itself. I currently am about a size 16!!! 14 if it has elastic waist.. I need to lose around 16-18 kgs currently 84kgs :wall:if I want to fit into my healthy weight range, but at this point would be happy with 12- 14 kgs. The group sounds very motivated and a great support to each other and looks like there are some very good results already. I am not sure how often I will get on, our computer is sick:computer:and needs a visit to the docs not sure when we will fit that in though??? so will try and get on from time to time;)looking forward to seeing more good results this week.
Catch you all later Pam :D
Hi everyone.
I am working flat out so no time to post!
Thanks for hsaring your story Turkish. good on you for staying positive.
I lost another 2kg this week, 2cm off bust, 2cm off waist, none off hips.
So in total so far 3.9kg loss and 24cm. Not bad considering i have not exercised for the last 2 weeks!
Ill try catch up on the weekend.
