Mel - how about Thursday? :)
dOES ANyone else have trouble with breakfast? For me its the hardest meal of the day as i have only eaten it sporadically, for so long, getting through a bowl of all bran is crazy. Then I try to add toast/yoghurt as well. Sooo fulll.
I've always eaten breakfast. Try to vary it a bit - cereal (vita brits is good), porridge, toast, yogurt, even eggs occasionally, and usually also with some fresh fruit, and lots of water :). Usually just a bowl of cereal and piece of fruit is enough, and you don't have to have heaps of cereal - however much you think you can fit is fine.
I can't do anything until I have had breakfast  but maybe if you are struggling try something different. Banana smoothie, fruit & yoghurt, eggs, grilled tomato on toast, even grilled vegies are all options. You can even make some low-fat, low-sugar zucchini muffins which would be tasty.
Try to eat a little bit less at breaskfast eg, fruit and yoghurt and then have something more at morning tea if you find that it is too much and slowly work your way up to it.
well done everyone sounds like you are doing great, im using calorieking aswell and didnt even come close to my allocated calories....do you think its possible to "bank" them and use them one night a week as we have a social dinner every friday and i would like to still enjoy a meal?????
just a thought!
Dh has been supportive got me out for a walk yesterday for 40 mins and he came with me and the 2 kids in the pram was a nice family walk really... this seems to combine quality family time and exercise its great!!!
Nai- ditto on the having breakfast before doing anything else, im exactly the same
Maz- way to go! late night snacks are the hardest to resist.
sending everyone skiiny vibes:D
heres to day 2
I cant do breakfast  BUT I got some shakes and im doing that for breakfast instead.
Sterla hon  WTG!!!
Shantelle - skinny vibes...love it babe!!!
Can we make a deal in here though...seeing weigh in day is monday can we not mention how much weight ect we lose if we jump on the scales half way through the week? Its making me want to jump on and I really only want to get on once a week cause it plays with my head to much :(
Off to coles to try out my new bike tralier/pusher (minus the bike of course)
Too true Maz - I never jump on mid week, too depressing when nothing has been lost.
Sterla - Thursday.... I think Jahzara is coming out for a play date - wanna come to for that anyway? We can have an ABBA dancing session with the kids or something to burn calories.. lol
Just got back from a walk into town - went to the IGA, so thats about a 2km return trip. I AM BUGGERED. Carried DS on my back (so 16/17kg) and pushed the two girls in the pram. Absolutely covered with sweat - even DS complained that his top was wet when we got home. Yes son, thats cos your mum is horribly unfit and is fat to the max - so she sweats.
So that took me 45 mins- not too shabby. Kept repeating to myself - I'm not gunna die - keep going!
Am I too late to join in?
I will be honest, I don't have a heap of weight to lose but I have recently joined the gym and have managed to lose a few kgs just by doing that but I would like to lose a bit more and tone up, generally get back in shape after having my kids and improve my diet/eating habits and I think if I join in here, it will make me more accountable?
I've also got two weddings coming up and I would like to look hot(ish..haha) for those. Not often the hubby and I get a night out ;)
My DH has recently lost 25kg. I haven't seen him this fit and trim since we first met 12 years ago. I am sooooo proud of him. He is working hard and I kinda don't want to be left behind!
What do I need to do to join in? PM my weight and measurements to Krys?
Like I said, I'm already going to the gym. I try really hard to go 3 days a week but with the kids, sometimes that doesn't happen if DH isn't around. They do have a creche but it gets expensive if I have to keep using it. Generally Mondays I do cardio, a bit of weights, treadmill etc. Wednesday I do a Fat Burner class and Saturday mornings I do a Pump class. Thinking of ditching my Monday work outs on my own and swapping it for a Combat class cause I think that will give me a better work out, but I must admit I'm not much of a fan.
Things I need to do: Start eating proper meals instead of just randomly snacking. Especially breakfast. I find I don't eat a lot because I tell myself I'm too busy with the kids etc. I also need to start drinking a LOT more. I can go a whole day with one glass of juice or a cuppa. Really, really bad for you. I will also cut out the juice and switch to water with lemon/lime. I will try to cut out junk like chocolate etc but I don't eat a lot of it to start with really. Will also make more of an effort to ensure I'm getting to the gym regualarly. Even if I have to ask MIL to mind the kids for me for an hour or so
I can't do anything until I eat breakfast either. We usually do porridge, weetbix or toast.
Last night I caved and had two bowls of icecream  I blame my tooth and having only eaten soup yesterday.
So as soon as DD finishes feeding we are off for a walk to IGA to grab some more bread and milk. It's just over 3km round trip and I'll be pushing 28kg of pram, toddler and baby!
Maz, I avoid jumping on scales mid week as well. I'd rather see a decent loss once a week than piddly little losses daily (if there is a loss!).
I am not a breakfast person either. So I have been having a miget bit of cereal with no fat milk. Like only half a cup to start with with ym cup of tea then have an early morning tea. Dinner time is the hardest for me as I like to eat a huge dinner and stopping snacks is hard to just for something to do not as I am hungry.
Maz: Good idea - I usually try not to weigh myself more than once a week, definitely won't from now on :) I know what you mean about it playing with your head.
Mel: Sounds good for Thursday :) As long as you don't mind Oliver and I crashing ;).
Is there an icon for falling down and dying????
Mel - I did the same...walked a 4km round trip to so the shopping. I cant tighten the wheel on the front of the pram trailer so it kept stering rightways but OMG so much easier to push then the pram (and I thought the P and T was great)
Mario is hone and he told me he was hot and sweaty...nah kidding love  you dont wanna know were the sweat is on mummy atm
Im itching to get my bike now so I can put them on the back and go for a wittle ride
oh and for those interested in a pram/bike trailer...I got mine for $100 of ebay plus $25 postage BRAND NEW!!!! It is friggen awesome!!! Heaps of 'boot' room kids are safe, there's a wet weather sheild for rainy bags, pockets inside for their stuff and their feet are protected int his little foot well thing.
I got so many comments and people pionting at us that I was gettinga complex...surely my butt isnt that big  but then maybe they were pointing at the monkey's in the pram ;)
Brekkie is my favourite meal of the day! My DH thinks I have a cereal fetish....I just like to be able to choose.
DC heaps of good suggestions, but you can also throw your all bran into a smoothie with yoghurt, banana and milk.
Mel lol at the wet top - DD has just started to learn about sweat...we have it by the bucket loads up here.
Maz, how'd the trailer go? ETA I've got that one! With the wheel, untighten it and then fiddle until you can get the screw right in the hole that's there (the wheel doesn't fit right to the top like it looks like it should). Once you can get it into the hole it goes all the way to the back of the bar and stops the understeer :D
Kell babe, feeling any better?
Mildez I hear ya on the big dinner and snacks thing. My DH weighs 2x what I weigh and sometimes i can eat as much as him.
Eluned, hope your tooth is feeling OK soon mate.
I'm another no breakfast, huge dinner girl, I really have to change that!
Yesterday was pretty good food wise, but today I went and saw my two nephews and they had made me home made pizzas for lunch, I couldn't say no! So will have to have a super healthy dinner now!
Well we haven't made it on our walk. I was getting the pram out of the car boot and DS got his finger caught in the pram as I was unfolding it :( have been to the doctors who thinks it may have a fracture so now just waiting for my mum to come watch DD while I get DS xrayed! Such a drama. Hopefully we will get out for a walk later this afternoon once everyones chilled! Thank goodness I've got dinner going in the slow cooker, at least I don't have to worry about that.
so fa today ive been really good but despeartely(sp?) trying to avoid sweet things so i just sniffed the nutella instead of eating it and im kinda thinking now was a bad idea to buy oreos over the weekend shop and never ate them now they just stare at me from the cupboard everytime i go in there.
Eluned- i hope your Ds is ok poor little thing.
Kim- i know what you mean about the sweat up here its ridonkulous.
maz- deal i dont jump on the scales any other day but weigh in day aswell but desperately fighting the urge to.
willow- your not too late pm krs your details shes away this week though but will add you to the list when she returns
well im off to think about my afternoon snack.....im thinking watermelon!!
Wow, this thread id moving soo fast!!!
I am feeling so much better today. I have had a good day but I'm so hungry, I think my body is trying to catch up on the day and a half of food it's missed!!! LOL!
I have had some porridge for breaky, a persimmon, some zucchini/veg slice with salad, half a piece of leb bread with vegemite and a coffee. And lots of water. Will be having some homemade lasagne and salad for dinner. So I'm doing well for today so far, but I have got some serious munchies. I am going to have to have some huge self restraint!!! Not that I have anything much in the house to eat! I will have some fruit and a cuppa tea.
Probably won't be doing any purposeful exercise, but DH and I have been sanding and removing some wall paper boardering in the kids room to paint before we move. I need to do some more serious cleanig too, so I think that's good enough exercise for today!
WTG to everyone who is dragging their kids around!! I will really get into the exercise side of things when I finish work and have time to get out and purposefully exercise. With organising moving and working at the moment, besides everything else I need to do...things are a bit hectic!
