I'm in!!!! I've got a lot to lose. I've been going to the gym but not really eating properly so it's sort of defeating the purpose of going  I need motivation to be healthy this might do it!

Who else is in the 30-40kg to shift club?
technically I'm in the 30kgs to shift (to reach my ideal weight) but I'm happy to be in the 20-25kg to shift range - not real comfortable being that skinny any more (I nearly got there once but the idea of size 8 clothes freaked me out - more comfortable with the idea of size 12-14)
Although current goal is more likely to be around the 5 kg in the next few months - more realistic for me.
I can't wait for this to start! I have to get a tape measure then will PM my details to you. Thanks krysalyss for doing all the hard work! Hopefully this will be the motivation I need :)
Have my tape measure looking at me from the kitchen table...but I can't be bothered dragging out the balance board for Wii Fit yet so I can weigh myself! Does anyone know how accurate that measurement is anyway? Would I better off if I just went and bought a set of scales?
Ideally I'd like to lose probably 10-15kg, since being pg I've gone up two sizes in pants and one size in tops, so would really like to lose it from my thighs/tummy/hips!
10kgs for me.
SS I reckon as long as you're consistent with the scale you use it won't make much difference.
My biggest challenge isn't really eating the wrong food (though a daily choccie fix probably isn't the best) it's stopping eating when I'm not really hungry. Like the snacking at night or in the arvos waiting for DH to come home cos I'm bored.
Exercise is also a killer. I used to be fit and active, but since Nate, it's all just too hard.
I love being strong and fit. Darwin however is absolutely horrendous weather to want to get fit outdoors in....might have to talk DH into one of those Wii Fit thingies.....
I had about 30Kg to lose and have lost 10kg. I still have 20 something more to lose this year.
Girls, it seems like so much and really daunting but we've got to start aomewhere and if we just chip away at it, it will get down.I have my weight in my ticker and I take get pleasure in changing it as weight comes off and also changing the number of kilos that I have to lose. Big motivator :grouphug:
We can do this (she says after eating a whole chocolate bunny and a packet of smiths chips :hide: )
I know it seems like a lot at the beginning but when I started I told myself I only have to do this once. Then I just need to maintain it which is a whole lot easier. Another thing to think about is what changes you can realistically make long-term. It is easy to cut out your favourite food for a week but forever isn't very realistic. But having it once a week or cutting out other junk that you just eat because it is there and not because you love it, is a lot easier. So don't be too hard on yourselves, just take each day as it comes and the time will tick away and so will your weight. You don't have to be perfect to lose weight, you just have to keep getting back on the horse.
My problem is that when I fall off I stay off for a week. But I have to pick myself after each time I eat something I didn't really want or need, and not wait to start again. And I have to keep checking in as when I stick my head in the sand it makes it all the harder to start again.
We can do it guys! We deserve to be happy and healthy.
i think i will join in tooo. i have 10-15kg to loose to be happy, 20kg as a long term goal. i have been trying really hard since DD2 was about 3 months old but havent lost much. probably 1 -2 kg here and there and then they come back on again. i was just starting to get into a rythym before easter and then ate too much, didnt get to the gym and i feel like i have to drag myself back kicking and screaming, so hoping this will kick start me.
although, i have to admit i am not looking forward to seeing everyone elses go down if mine is staying the same (that can get depressing) so i will just have to work harder i guess.
so do we figure out our own weight loss percentage and send it to you krysalis?
Hollo - you send your original weights to krysalyss, then your losses each week and she will work out % of bodyweight lost.
And I hear you on the bad eating, I am a shocker for it but working on it slowly. We keep getting sick which is our biggest down fall. I haven't worked in a CCC for a few years and now I have no immunity, I have been sick since I started a month ago I think. It cleared up for the wedding and over Easter I got better but the second i step back into that hotpot of bacteria I get sick again.
I am in the 30-40kg to go club too but at this stage just looking at 5kg
I am in. I'd do the first month to start with and hopefully it sticks. My goal to start with is little increments. 5kilos then 2.5 wil put me at minimum I want to be before we start IVF. Goodluck everyone.
I'll try to do this too I think
My goal is 5kg. I'd like more but need to be realistic. 5kgs will get me out of the "overweight" category for my BMI.
I want to loose 7-8 kilo's
Measurement wise, it is going to be hard for me as I stim with hormones each month, and it truelly does bloat your tummy.
I need to join in though, it will keep me on track and stop me from eating comfort foods.
Hopefully we can set a little task each week for the group ??
Ie - Week One - Walk for an hour, just something little, that makes me feel " I have no excuses on that task for that week ..
Wouldloveabub- thats a great idea.
We could also add in tasks like
-30min walk each day (as you said)
-complete 50 situps each day. DOnt have to do them all at once. Just through the day.
-NO take out food for a week
etc.
