Hi Ladies,
I have decided to start over again & will weigh in next week. I was not really following my plan b/c we were doing IVF but that cycle has been cancelled and we won't be able to start again until the New Year, so am back to being focussed on losing weight & being healthier.
-
Ooops, I'm a bit late weighing in this week. Was a bit busy and I think I may have blocked it from my mind since I know I haven't been putting in the effort I should.
This morning I weigh 63.8kg, so down 600g since last week. I was so surprised to see a 3 in there, considering the week I've had. We went out for lunch last Sunday. I had creamy garlic prawns and 2 blocks of chocolate through out the week :hide:
This is going to be a bad week. I have a catch up lunch with some ex work mates, birthday on Wed and birthday dinner on Fri. I will try and get some exercise in, but its so hard lately with the kids lack of sleep. Anyhoo, no more excuses! If I want to fit it in I can make it happen!
On a positive note, I got the "you've lost heaps of weight" comment from a friend yesterday. It's always a nice little boost to hear that :)
Rhi - sorry your IVF isn't going ahead. Good on you for refocusing on your healthy lifestyle :)
wrena - sorry your little one is having a hard time at the moment. I know how hard it is to try and eat healthy and exercise when your not getting any sleep. My 2 are up all through the night too at the moment, I just keep telling myself It wont be forever
minimatron - yay for almost being out of the 70's! It feels so good to see a new number at the beginning of your weight.
berrme - hooray for size 10 pants and compliments from strangers!! Must have felt good to get those pants on :)
-
WOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....... 69.7kgs! Out of the 70s! Now to keep it going :) Happy dance! I think thats 600gm loss this week! SO happy. I havent been this light for about 4 years! Good luck everyone x o
-
Hi guys! I am still floating around but haven't weighed myself for a while. Getting into the exercise though and am feeling pretty good. I guess I am not officially in the challenge anymore but still happy with how I am going.
MM - Thats awesome news! Woo hoo!
-
Minimatron, Doesn't it feel great to get out of the 70s!! And yay for being the lightest in 4 years... awesome work!
Krysalyss, glad you are feeling better about your exercise and food. How was your outing with your old workmates?
AFM, I am down to 67.6kg, so that is another 800g loss, and 7.8kg for the challenge so far. I am now officially in my healthy weight range with a BMI of 24.8. I really do think BMIs are a bit silly... my waist is 70cm and I am wearing quite a few size 10 things now, but I am only just out of the overweight category??
Anyway, I can get into the dress that I bought off ebay for the wedding next weekend so I am happy. I will be in Melbourne next Thursday so don't know if I will be able to check in but am hoping to be under 67kg. The official end of the challenge is in 2 weeks time isn't it? I don't think I will quite make my goal of 65kg (the holiday will stuff that up. :p) but that is OK.
-
Congratulations to everyone for their efforts this week! I gained 200g but I know I have lost inches b/c I bought a dress size smaller & I have had some more comments about my weight loss. I really want to lose 4 kgs in 4 weeks b/c I have my final bridesmaid dress fitting & then I can't lose or gain any weight for approx. 3 weeks after that. ekkk! with Xmas & New Year in there I am a little scared

OMG... Another great week. I have been using an app on my phone to count calories and Im doing 1200 a day plus Im trying to do 30 minutes on my stationary bike. Im drinking a fair bit of water too. So I have los another 1.1kgs and am down to 68.7kgs :) SO HAPPY.... only 5 more to go!
-
Well done Minimatron! 1.1kg is great.
I weighed in on Wednesday morning before I flew down to Melbourne and was 66.8kg. Another 800g down and 8.6kg in total. Went to the gym in my hotel yesterday and am hoping to get there this afternoon. Definitely in the morning if not this afternoon. I have been eating as well as you can when you are eating out so hopefully I will not have a gain for next week.
-
Youre doing really well berme. Good luck with the holiday? eating!
Im feeling pretty good. My shorts are loose. I dont think I will loose as much if any this week as AF just arrives and I always gain... but if I work hard.... you never know!
-
Oh dear, I haven't checked in for 2 weeks! Ooopsy.
Well done berrme and minimatron, you guys are doing awesome!! :cheer:
I weighed myself this morning, 62.5kg! So thats 1.3kg down since 2 weeks ago. 60kg feels totally achievable now :) So I think thats around 5kg I've lost during the challenge, but I'm super excited that I have now lost 10kg since I started trying to lose weight in May!
Seems like a lot of people have dropped out of this thread, I hope everyone is well :)
-
ok... 68.9kgs.... a 200 gain but i expected that as Im on the tail end of AF. Im still feeling fantastic. Not setting my goals too high. I need to get to 63 to be in my healthy weight range, but thats right at the top end. If I can, I may try to get down to 60.... by this time next year!!! (if not sooner)
-
Great attitude Minimatron. Keep up the good work, you will reach your goal in no time, though maybe after xmas. ;)
MM, 60kg is totally achievable! You have done really well too, congrats. :)
400g gain here, but not at all surprised after the shocking week I had. Went OK in Melbourne but DS1 got school sores so couldn't go to the gym after we got back on Sunday and ate too much crap as I was at home for 3 days and feeling sorry for myself. BUT got to the gym last night and am going again today (DS1 is allowed back at daycare today) so feeling good again. Didn't do my measurements last week but they are down slightly from 2 weeks ago so I am happy with that.
Since this is the end of the challenge I am going to bore you with my stats for the last 12 weeks.
Bust: 101cm to 92cm..... 9cm loss
Waist: 81cm to 70cm......11cm loss
Hips: 94cm to 83cm .......11cm loss
Bum: 109cm to 97cm......12cm loss
Thigh: 62cm to 58cm.......4cm loss
Arm: 33cm to 31cm.........2cm loss
Weight: 75.4kg to 67.2kg..... 8.2kg loss
Basically, I am pretty proud of myself. I am not too bothered about losing much more this year as there is just too much fun to be had, but know I can get to my goals early in the new year and ditch all the size 12 and 14 clothes from the house for good. :)
Hope to hear from a few more of the original challengers to see how you all went.
-
Youve done fantastic. I havent done my measurements in ages, so when I did them out I will post up my loss!
-
Sorry I didn't check in for so long.
We moved house and I lived on junk food for a while and then it took me a while to get back into my gym routine.
I weighed myself at the gym this morning.......
55.1 kg!!
So I'm .1kg off my goal weight and I've dropped about 3 or 4 kg since the challenge started.
I suspect that today's weight is due to the gastro DS2 gave me on Sunday but it feels good to be so close to the end of my ticker I'm taking it.
Well done to everyone who stuck with the challenge :)
-
Well I lost 400gms this week. So Im down to 68.5kgs. Im pretty happy although I would love it to come off a little faster! I redid my measurements and since Jan this year I have lost 35cm all over. Im stoked!
-
That is awesome Minimatron. Stick with it, you will get there. :)
Onyx, yay for almost being at your goal weight, gastro or no gastro. I think you can ignore the 0.1kg and just claim that you made it. ;)
I am down another 1kg to 66.2kg, so only 1.2kg to go to my goal. Might just make it before xmas, then just try not to put any back on while having a jolly time.
-
Ok, Im another kg down. Im so happy. Even though some of it was from having a tummy bug but still...... 67.5! Yippee! Only 4.5kgs til I reach my goal :)
