Hi everyone!
Happy with my progess this week, exercise wise. I've walked all but yesterday, and pushing the pram and walking the two dogs too! And today DH and I (with DD on DH's bike) did a ride that was 11.84kms! Sweet!
Food has been pretty good, but we had a bit of an icecream pig out last night. Ho hum. Today's our wedding anniversary, so DH is cooking up a storm, not sure what I'm in for tonight, but am thinking I have to walk hard tomorrow!
Jayne - I'm getting jealous of your wardrobe! Mine is shrinking as I'm slowly recycling things I just don't wear anymore. Saddest bit for me is that I don't seem to be replacing anything, so it is ever shrinking. Wish the waistline would shrink as fast
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
PRMG- happy anniversary! Hope your dinner was wonderful! What did your df cook?
Afm, my world is ending ladies because I am sick! I can't believe it, I haven't been sick once the entire time I was home with the kids, now within a month if going back to work I feel awful! Blah, I am the worst sick person too, very whingey! I am actually glad I am on my way to work now so i can get a break from the kids, lol.
Also, I have a new plan to keep me on track, weigh in is now Sunday and Thursday mornings, as these are my days where I don't have to get up and rush around, and I really need both so I can keep an eye on the damage I am doing with the 4 days off with df. Weigh in yesterday was great though, for the first time since going back to work I went down! Wahoo :) 600gs, which I am more than happy with
Appletree - he made a stack of different things. Started with chicken and sweet corn soup, then we had a couple of homemade spinach and cheese ravioli, a couple of lamb cutlets marinated in Moroccan spices, Chinese five spice and cinnamon, goat cheese and potato pu***, and some mini toasts with halomi cheese and hummus on some, and ricotta and sun-dried tomatoes for the others. There were lots of little bits to nibble on. He made DD cheese, tomato and avocado volevonts too. It was all very delicious, but not a lot, just little nibbles of each, which was lovely. Should have seen my kitchen afterwards!!!! Hope you feel better soon  And yay for the lost 600gs!
I'm only new here but I would love to join you all!
I have been using my new calorie counting app for the last week - have been finding it really good to look up the bad things I'm craving before I buy them and it helps me make a better choice. I am aiming to lose 15kg over 6 months.
Can I ask what the challenge is? Lol
Hi Ash! Calorie counters are great, really useful and helpful. Good luck with your aim!
The challenge is more for ourselves, I think. Challenge yourself to do it. Occasionally, someone will throw in a group challenge, but its more to keep us all motivated and get moving. Well, that's my take on it anyway! It was originally to lose what you wanted to, and get healthy for summer. Good luck!
*slinks in*
I'm back. Again. Lost .3kg this week, .8kg the week before. DH still sick but was improving... but last week he did his back. It was the DAY after I resolved to lose this darn weight (again) - cos DD is now 6mo and she won't BF forever!). And now DH is sick again PLUS he can't lift/bend or do anything. So it's like I've got a toddler, a baby and big sick kid!!!
Pls tell me I can do this no matter how stressed/busy I am. Won't have heaps of time to post... but I wanna wanna wanna wanna wanna stick to this. Hope to catch up reading a bit later.
Good Morning Ladies,
BELFIE & ASH - welcome!!! We really love new people joining & we are here to cheer you on! Good luck!
APPLETREE _ WTG on the .6kg weight loss! Awesome, awesome, awesome job! So happy for you! Love the new resovle with the weighing as well. Whatever keeps you honest darl!
PAKRAKMG _ You're Dh sounds like the bomb in the kitchen! Keep him under lock & key!!! lol. Wow, I'm so impressed with all the things he made you! Rock on!
I had a pretty good weekend. I worked out Sat & Sun which I am happy with. I also went jogging this morning & then did another 6km on the cross-trainer. Losing 600g last week has made me VERY competitive to get another big loss this week. So I am going hell for leather! Also, we are going to Seoul, Korea this coming weekend & the kids are off school Mon & Tue next week, so I'm really needing to set myself up for a loss this week because I am almost 100% sure I will see a gain the following week! The weeks are ticking down so quickly until I land in Aus as well! Eeek!! I have to stay on track! I can't afford ANY gains really.
LOL, Jayne, DH injured himself four years ago, fell off a ladder and ended up off work for six months. So he taught himself how to cook "fancy". He was never taught how to cook at home, and started out at 19 as a guy who thought he could boil rice on a stove in a stainless steel mixing bowl to teach himself how to make such wonderful things. I am very lucky. He says that if wasn't an electrician, he'd be a chef. You're doing so well with your weight loss, you're so close to your goal now, hope you can hear me cheering you on from Oz!!!!! :cheer:
Belfie - YOU CAN DO IT! Every time you lift your toddler, there's a little workout for your arms. Every time you take DH whatever he needs while he's sick, walk fast or sprint! And for bubba? Well she's there giving you big smiles and lots of love. You can do it hun!
I've walked this morning, dogs are now walking beautifully beside the pram so it's really nice walking them. Had a salad for lunch and we're having left over soup for dinner.
Awww PAKRAK - thank you so much! it really means a lot. I am trying so super hard this week - I really am. I just had soup for lunch with no roll or butter :( & for breaky this morning I had a lil bowl of cereal with some milk & then a yoghurt. I'm just bout to head off & find myself a kiwi. tonight we are having steak with mushroom sauce & salad & potato bake - but I am sooooooooooo good with potato bake. I just have like a tablespoon sized serving & I'm good with that. I tell you though, I'm going to end up divorced pretty soon............ I just had to grocery shop, so I decided to have a lil looksie through Zara on the way there. Bad move........... one pair of very spunkylicious shoes later & I'm on my way to grocery shopping. Oh & you can tell your man, anytime he wants to try something fancy, he can post it my way! He sounds amazing in the kitchen. Can I have his number........... bahahaha! Just kidding.
Good job on the furbabies walking so nicely along the pram! Makes for such a nice walk doesn't it? Took me a little while to get my Banjo to do that, but he did it. I find when the girls are on their scooters though, he has like an anxiety attack if they get too far away. he doesn't want to be in front of them, he just wants to be near them. Ah, I miss Banjo so much! :(
wow, so many posts since I was in here last and it was just a couple of days ago lol.
Jayne, wow! You're so close to your goal now. I love looking at your ticker. I'm having a bit of wardrobe envy too. White pants :o I have never, ever owned a pair of white pants that weren't ski pants. I'm hoping I'll fit back into those pants this winter.
Belfie and Ash, welcome to our little group. The way I see it the challenge is to improve your health and fitness and end up more shapely ;)
Appletree, for the loss. Well done. I hope you feel better soon.
Pak, how wonderful to have a DH who cooks well. My DH is hopeless in the kitchen. When we first met he used to cook me breakfasts at 5 in the morning so I assumed he would be a good cook. It turns out that breakfast is all he cooks well. I have refused to learn how to cook Afghan food because I thought that it would motivate him to learn but he just goes and visits his Mum when he wants some instead
Sopdet, I'm so impressed by how committed you are and how hard you're working. Well done.
AFM, I missed the gym on Friday because I had a Dr's appointment (that one ) and then DH didn't come home for the weekend so I missed Saturday too. I put a little bit of extra weight on for Pump today to make up for it and my teacher chose some really brutal tracks too - ouch! I felt a bit shaky after the lunge track. I think she did too lol.
I ate about half a slice of chocolate/banana bread today :( It's such a stupid thing to do. Work so hard at the gym and then undo it with all that sugar.
It's time for a new thread :)
