weigh-in result for me... loss of .2kg but AF arrived this morning so I'll take that... and hoping for a bigger loss next week (and to reach that half-way point! 5.2kg down, 5.8kg to go....). Oh and 3cm off my measurements, 2cm off waist & 1cm of boobs yay.
More excitingly tho, my DH dropped 1.3kg this week! WOO HOO finally we've got it working for him. I'm so stoked.

Hi LAdies!!!! Back from Townsville. The crazy thing is... I didn't put on a GRAM. I actually LOST weight while eating moist, dense chocolate cake for lunch and pizza for dinner, having a few drinks and eating lollies and chocolates at kids parties. Oh, and throw in a couple of coffee club lunches. And not exercising a skerrick.
Not too sure what's going on- either the breastfeeding myth is proving true for me after 8 months, or my running has changed the way my body works. I'm going to stick with the latter so I keep with it.
So I'm back, and raring to go for a run. Unfortunately, I pinched a nerve in my neck yesterday, so that's been put on hold. My wonder massage therapist has worked me to a point I can at least go to the loo by myself (and stand, and sit) but I can't even lean over the cot to get bubba out. So running is most probably out for a few days ;)
Hope your'e all going well, and keeping warm....don't let the cold be an excuse not to exercise! Rug up and get outside!
-
Bit of a quick post, but just wanted to update you all on my weight loss to date.
My official weigh in day is on Tuesday so I've got another 2 and a bit days to go still.
But i got impatient to weigh in. (I know- how unusual right?
So ive lost 1.4 kilos. :) in... What, 6 days? Whoa! :)
Will be back on for persies later!
Sent from my iPhone (via Tapatalk) so please forgive the spelling mistakes...

woohoo, i lost 400g without doing anything much, except not eating extras like chocolate and chips! i didn't think i ate it that much??
-
Walked 50 mins tonight home - 4.5kms :) My feet hurt!
-
My ultra healthy lunch today?? 4 corn thins with low fat cheese, avocado and tomato and a stick of celery with low fat peanut butter and sultanas! Yummeeee!! It's better than I anticipated, lol!
-
Lilias - that's an impressive lunch! How are you feeling? How is it going now? Re cutting out the chips & chocolate, it makes a big difference huh. I guess they're just so energy rich that cutting them out makes a big difference.
Sopdet - that's a HUGE walk! wow.
LysnDan - how did your weigh-in go?
krystals - I want your diet  that's awesome. Sorry to hear about the pinched nerve - youch. Is it all better now?
AFM weigh in today, lost 1kg YAH YAH YIPPEE I'm so stoked. Puts me over the halfway mark. Plus lost 1cm off every measurement. Which means my total losses so far are 7cm off boobs, 8cm off waist & 6cm of hips. Wow. I feel a million bucks. I"m on the back straight now baybeeee! :leap::leap::leap:. I'm even thinking of trying a public (yes, with OTHER people) zumba class now I'm feeling a bit trimmer & fitter. I'll still be unco but i feel like I could do it now.
-
Weigh in on monday for me, and hopefully back to a couple of walks next week, also now DP's going back to work am thinking i might do a 15min ride on the exercise bike when the girls nap and then slowly increase it :)
How is everyone else, am catching up i promise
-
I'm still not going so great, very hit and miss. DH has been n=on nights again, and I find it so hard to be healthy then, I just look for convenient and comfort foods. Whilst I'm not eating total junk because we just don't have it in the house, I'm having the wrong sorts of things, like crackers and (homemade) popcorn, not terribly bad, but I should be having more fruit and veggies and protien, waayyy less carbs! More water, and exercising. But I'm just shattered after night shifts -for example, last night DS2 was feeding 2 hourly, DS1 woke 2 times I think with dreams, DD woke 2 times with dreams and to go to the loo. Up at 6am. So I think I got maybe 3-4hours of broken sleep. DH's night shifts are like that every time for me. DH does up to 6 arvo/night shifts at a time. Though this time, it's only 2 but DS2 has been sleeping terribly for a few weeks. I'm trying to work through it with my eating, but something has gotta give when I'm feeling so out of it and tired. So I am also trying to be nice to myself! When I feel ok and a bit mroe rested, I do great, when I'm a tired *itch from hell, then I don't do very well! My rested days should get more and more eventually (gosh I hope they do!) so eventually I should start to see better results! I haven't weighed myself, though I kind of feel pretty good in my clothes. That's gotta mean something, right?
Well done to you Belfie! You're going great guns!!
-
Awesome work Belfie!
Have decided that I will try to only think about the positives. So for me this week, I have spent many hours hauling and stacking wood, along with some shovelling and pushing of the wheelbarrow. Exercise with a bonus now having a nice wood pile
-
DP's back at work today
I am pretty sure i've put on just under a kg but with DP back at work and the fact that ALL the chocolate is gone from the house i am getting back into it.
I want to be SMOKING HOT for my reunion in june/july  so i am doing all my cleaning as quickly and aerobically as possible, will be walking with HotI a couple of times this week and plan on doing 15min on the bike when the girls go down for a nap.
I'm also going to start using the fire so that means lifting and moving wood from the shed to the house (not far but still it's something).
I have told the girls NO BISCUITS or LOLLIES this week at all and we WILL NOT be buying softdrink so we have plenty of fruit (normal but had been kind of a 2nd option of late) i bought some celery for snacks for me and will be filling up a jug of water and making sure i drink it every day.
I still feel really good about the weight i've lost, i know i have plenty to go but i WILL get down to my goal weight.
I am also thinking of trying out contours now that DP is back at work, he can come home, watch the kids for an hour or so maybe 3 nights a week or 1 day on the weekend etc.
How is everyone else going, whats news.. i am determined NOT to let this cold weather affect me, i can have HEALTHY comfort food and still have salads etc during this horrible rainy weather.
-
Woohoo, 500g down! Not sure how, but I'm losing weight! I'm not doing alot to make it happen, maybe just not eating so much junk and not eating after dinner...Plus DS2 si feeding 2 hourly at night adn 3hrly in the day, so maybe he's sucking it all out of me, lol! Though it never happened with my last two that I lost weight with BFing. I am able to see the loss in myself now and DH also said something the other day (yay!). My jeans literally fall off me now too, lol! I need to go shopping! I am aiming to start walking too, 45mins to an hour or so every second day at least. It's amazing how such small changes can make you so motivated! Baby steps.
How is everyone else going?
-
ZF, that is brilliant your dh is back at work, good luck on getting to your goal for the school reunion!
Lilias, how wonderful that your jeans are hanging off! Hope you have a wonderful shopping trip to get new clothes, you deserve it!!
I have been very quiet sorry, trying to keep up with the 12wbt chat as well! I can't believe what a difference the 12wbt has made, I lost 1.6kgs since Saturday! It really is all about what you eat, I am not training anywhere near as hard as I was, but I am completely in control of what I am eating and i feel fantastic already! I am now only 350g away for my where I last updated my ticker and I hope I can smash through that in next weeks weigh in! The biggest difference has been with dinners, having a whole stack of meals that I know are going to fill me up, taste delicious and keep me well under my cal count makes it very very easy. I can't believe how bad I was getting the meat portion sizes!
-
Tried on clothes today. OMG boy what incentive to lose weight. I am at that point, smallest sizes in Autograph and Taking Shape. Fit into 16 at Target, but I look lumpy. Don't want to wear a sack, but anything tight is showing off way too many lumpy bits!.
Sitting down with my TWD books and menu planning for the week!
-
I'm at the size too, Astrid, in between larger size 16's and 18's and generic off the rack size 16's.
-
How are we all going?
Last week HotI was busy but i managed to do a walk on my own and did it faster than normal which was a bit of a buzz but this week DD2 has a throat infection and DD1 has the snots today so we wont be getting a walk til maybe tomorrow and every spare minute i get i'm trying to get stuff done without a sick child attached.
I got on the scales and i've lost 100g :wall: so will maybe try for 15min on the bike today if i can get the girls to sleep at the same time and if i don't have millions of things to do :)
-
ZF, don't be disheartened, maybe you're gaining in muscle. I know it sounds like a cop out to say, but it's true. Muscle is better than fat, as it burns more calories and is more dense, meaning smaller clothes sizes!!
Anyway peoples I have decided to stop with the weightloss for a little while. Having a bit of a tough time with a few health issues of my own, plus DS2 is a terrible sleeper (how did I get blessed with 3 non sleeping children???) and I am struggling with every aspect of trying to lose weight. I'm not going to go on a bender, but I'm not going to weigh myself regularly nor worry if I eat hot chips for lunch one day. I will be back when thing settle in our house and I have managed to get things under control more. I will still be trying to be healthy (not lose weight necessarily!), albeit a little less whole heartedly and no pressure on myself right now! Giving myself a break.
So congrats to those of you who are losing weight and are dedicated. I will check in from time to time to see how you're going and use you all as some motivation! And as I said I will be back. I do need to lose weight and I'm not in denial! But at the moment it's just proving to be pressure I am not coping with! So good luck everyone!

 hun, pop in and keep us in line :ninja:

Hi guys. Well I am here again because I have totally fallen off the wagon in every way (weigh he he) and saw a photo today that shocked me. Feeling pretty down about it. Started counting my food today but I know how busy I am with work and everything and have kind of stopped believing I can do this right now. :( I looked so good just a year ago but have totally let myself go. Argh! I hate myself right now for this! I really really need someone to just be harsh and tell me that I got myself into this position and I have to take responsibility for my actions. So Kris WAKE UP TO YOURSELF!
OK Thats it. Hope you guys are all going well :)
-
Kris - even tho it feels hard right now, if you don't do it now, you will just keep feeling so annoyed at yourself! You might as well do it cos committing to it will make you feel so much better about yourself.. And before you know it, one day of good choices will turn into a week, a month of good choices and you'll be feeling happy & proud of yourself again. Don't waste time beating yourself up, just know how AWESOME you are going to feel with every little win. Set some nice simple goals for tomorrow. You can do it, & I expect to hear about it!!
-
Aww hun YOU CAN DO IT, i'm right there with you, the girls were sick, we were busy and now i've got a cold and it's been so so easy to just forget about it, today HotI is busy but i've decided i am still going for a walk ON MY OWN.
So i'm packing the girls in the car, walking then heading to the library.
It doesn't help that while my mum was here she broke my scales so i've found it too easy to just not worry about it.
Today it ends and i'm back to normal.
How is everyone else?
-
Life's busy at the moment... I'm doing my final exams for uni (+about a million assignments), we are currently looking to buy a house, i'm working almost everyday, I'm busy planning my wedding (which distracts me from the first mentioned) and I'm helping plan my future SIL wedding.... AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm going insane!!!!
Needless to say I've fallen off the wagon and am very unhappy to report that I put on 4kg. :shakehead:
Back on the wagon now, me thinks....
-
-
Hey chicks, good to hear from so many of you! I am failing miserably at the 12wbt... I have lost about a kg in 6 weeks! I'm working full time now, so things have been crazy, i haven't been to the gym in about 10 weeks, have just been trying to excercise at home with dvds... blah. The food has been great though, its so nice to have so many healthy yummy recipes up my sleeve, just need time to make them!
Hope you have a great week :)
-
WOOT! 1.5kg lost this week (actually I think last weeks was falsely up, hence the big drop this week).
I've lost 8.8kg overall. Also lost 31cm overall, 10 off boobs, 13 off waist & 8 off hips. 5cm drop this week which surprised me!!
Having a celebratory chai now :D I'm so excited. Hope everyone else is going well.
-
I'm still here, my scales are broken, but i got on them the other day and i am back up to 97 :wall:
But i am waiting to buy some new scales and then i am going to weigh and MEASURE... grr might get HotI to measure me so i know where to measure.
Am back into walking and am planning on running around like a nutter today doing some cleaning, am also back to eating better.. so angry at myself for gaining again.. Grr
YAY for the loss Belfie.. keep up the great work hun.
-
Hi girls!!!!
Back after a month's self imposed ban! :)
I'm 500g from being in the 60s!!!!! Too excited, when I hit 69.9 I'm buying new jeans!
My biggest problem now is that I am a shape I've never been before. I used to be an upside down triangle- and now i'm a pear!!! So I have to learn how to dress!!!
I need a stylist. :)
-
Hey girls, just popping in to ask if anyone has heard from ~jayne~ ? I haven't seen her posting for a long time and wondered if she'd hit her goal.
Hope you're all going well in the challenge :)
-
Quiet in here.
It's cold but i still need to make the effort, have stalled a bit and am over the excuses.
Got on the scales this morning and after getting back up to 97.7 just over a week ago i'm happy to say i was 92.5
Going for a walk this morning and thinking i might stop in at Contours and check out he prices, that way i can walk 3 mornings a week and then when DP gets home i can go there 3 nights a week?
-
ZF - wow, 5kg, that's an awesome loss! You go girl :)
PRM - I was wondering the same thing about ~Jayne~ and nope, haven't seen anything either :(.
krystals - ooooh that's so exciting, and I hear you on the stylist, can we also get the budget for a new wardrobe too? I have some old (but new again) jeans that fit my butt beoooootifully... but just can't squeeze my waist into 'em... well not if I want to breathe again anyways. I'm down to one decent pair of pants that fit, and they're just cargos. I so want new clothes. So so so badly. But I so so so want to wait till I'm at my goal! Arrgh!
AFM - well AF this week after a good loss on the weekend. And I'm so close to a major milestone, so I have been working my butt off - 1 hour of exercise every single day this week, burning 300+ calories a day. So I cannot wait to weigh tomorrow, I have everything crossed for a good result. I'm feeling good & hopeful.... I'm also starting to get heaps of comments too now which is just totally awesome. Mumma feelin' HAWT!!
EDIT: I DID IT, I DID IT! Lost 0.4kg and reached my milestone. Total loss so far is now 9.2kg. Ecstatic!!!!!!
-
Hooray belfie!!! That is just awesome!! Well done :) I hope you treat yourself to some new clothes!
Go ZF, that is great work too, how did the prices at contours look? I would highly recommend a gym with a crèche if there is one available, it is really hard to keep up with a night routine where you have to rely on someone else. With the crèche you know it's always there for you, and the kids have a wonderful time usually :)
-
There's no gym in town :( there's some little fitness place (group training etc) but that's it, not sure about the next town across, prob not much there either :(
Might check it out though, was hoping to walk 3 days, gym 3 nights.
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else
-
Im popping in because I need motivation and help! How do you find energy to execs in winter? I HATE not being able to run at night, I wont go in the dark, I'm too tired once kids are in bed( lazy) and it's freezing to get out to the gym .... Argghhhhhhhhhhhh I've had a cold which doesn't help but have gained 2 kgs and feel yuck again. Soooo help me get back to eating well no snacking and finding time to work out!!!!
ETA: ZF how do you lose 5 kgs in a week!? I need to lose 6-7 to be at my goal!!! Better update my ticker!
-
Hi guys! Just popping in as I haven't been in for awhile. Not since my last depressed post. Anyway given my huge workload at the moment and the fact that I suspect I may have a bit of a psychological problem with food, I have given myself just one eating rule - NO BINGEING. I do make healthy choices but when I fall off the wagon, I fall into a cavern of junk food. Its going well so far, and given me one less thing to worry about. I eat when I fail at things so it is important that my rules are actually achievable, especially for anything regarding food! Apart from that I am just doing soccer twice a week and that is it really. I want to try and get a bit more soccer training into my life as I enjoy it and it is great for the body but won't push it with everything else going on. Anyway hope you guys are all good. xo
