    Default Weight loss/meal replacement shakes

Can anyone recommend which of the shakes are the most 'nutritious' ?
I have funny taste buds- so which brand is the tastiest?
I would like to lose 5-6 kilos in 4 weeks.

Pretty sure none of them are great for you 😘. - but I have heard Isowhey are supposed to be scientifically supported and I am pretty sure that Optifast are what the doctors prescribe for people before they have lap band surgery.

Instead of the shakes, have you thought about a green smoothie as a meal replacement?

The Lose Baby Weight / Healthy Mummy shakes. No aspartame or other artificial sweetener, and it gets the vitamins from real foods, eg ground pumpkin seeds etc. It also protects breastfeeding and has lots of nutritious ingredients - and all the flavours taste amazing. A great support/recipe community too.

I've used the same as Kelly and they were awesome....until I got gastro and now have an aversion to them lol.

Also remember that 5-6kg in 4 weeks is a very rapid loss, and not a sustainable rate. If you switch to shakes and cut carbs, you will drop a lot of water weight (1g carbs holds 4g water) but not necessarily fat. The question should be if you are looking to lose the weight and sustainability keep it off / convert to muscle / tighten up. While shakes have their place, they are not good for you in an ongoing manner and you need to develop habits which let you maintain without reliance on liquid nutrition.

I agree with the above, if you just want to lose it for an event all good, I'd go with what Kelly mentioned. But it will come back after you stop

    Thanks ladies :-)

I'm leaning more toward light n easy now anyway.

I'm wanting to lose that weight for IVF, so was looking at quick ways to lose weight, rather than ways that will keep it off in the future.

5-6 kilos is only a guide- this is the first time my FS has mentioned it.

Emma09 do you have a juicer? If I feel like I need to drop a few sneaky kgs I will pull out my juicer and make some good healthy juices which I will substitute for a meal. I did this before and during ivf. I have actually bought a huge bunch of celery and bags of carrots today to get into it again we have a party in 2 weeks and I want to have less muffin in the top of my jeans!
    Good luck

Normally the FS recommend gradually and sustainability. I'd look at L&E / asking the FS for referring you to a dietician or nutritionist.

Joeve- I don't have a juicer, but I could probably borrow one.

Thanks Candy- this is my last possible stim cycle- FS knows this.
    She actually recommended shakes.
I'm not to bothered about longevity, as I feel fine the way I am :-)

My Mum was part of the original trial of Optifast and it t nutritionally complete - if you needed to live on it you could, if that helps at all!

Lite n Easy has lots of processed food in it, personally, it's not one I would choose when we need to steer away from processed to be as healthy as possible. Lose Baby Weight has a brilliant philosophy with the foods it recommends and tailored to mother's nutritional needs for foods like protein, omegas, iron, zinc... you'll not just be restricting calories but completely beefing up your health with the nutrition. I can't recommend it enough. It took me a long time to choose on something, I grilled them about what was in it when I heard about it because many shakes have artificial sweetener or other processed crap in it... and they have a massive database of free recipes - you could lose weight from home without the shakes just eating the recipes on the site Big thumbs up from me.
