I just checked out their website when I 1st saw this thread today... I did see 5 vego dinners but October last year when I looked at them they didn't have one single vegetarian meal (I looked at their meals online and then called to speak to someone) and I told them they should pass on the feedback to their managers... I'm amazed (and happy) that there's actually a company out there who 'does' listen to feedback :D:
I think you are doing the right thing with your history of PE being concerned about any weight gain during pregnancy. It's a strange thing when you are pregnant that it's like it gives you a free pass to eat whatever you like ;) I know I took full advantage of it.
I think if you do the research and be aware of what and how much you eat that it has to help (and this is obviously what you are doing :clap: )
That is true hay. Alot of people assume pregnancy means you can eat what you like and stuff your face. But its not true. No matter how big or how small you are, you are growing a little human inside you and everything that goes into your mouth should be givin some sort of thought in my opinion.:
Ive seen some quite skinny people when they have been pregnant absalutley stuffing themselves silly with food because it doesnt matter (or so they think) if they put on a few extra kilos.. but they are also the ones that have no energy and look terrible. I understand pregnancy and other life situations take a toll on the human body.. but the best thing women can do is eat right and do a little exercise. If not for yourself, the little body inside you.
I would find out how many calories per day your body needs when pregnant and then use up those calories with healthy foods. That way youll only gain the weight thats needed and not any excess.
There needs to be weight gain in order for a baby to thrive in utero and also to produce milk to breastfeed :)
Weight Watchers used to have a pregnancy program many years ago, however they stopped it because a member who was following the program gave birth to a baby with some sort of birth defects (can't remember what now) and sued weight watchers, saying that it was because of restricted food intake (or something to that effect) that her child was born with birth defects. Since then they will not let anyone that is pregnant join the program.
