As alioops said, fans work really well. At the moment, I have my clothes under one on full-speed in the spare room. Even a standard fan will work. Definitely way cheaper than the dryer option! Hope you get them dry.

Good idea PP, I was going to suggest using your mum/MILs!
We got a drier when we had our first baby. I rarely use it but it definitely comes in handy in weather like this. I've been letting mine line dry (our clothes line is under cover) for the most part then bringing them in when they are just damp and giving them 5mins in the dryer to finish them off. It's the only way I've managed to get all the washing and nappies dry over the last two weeks.

No dry clothes here in days. I know it's breaking the drought but this is ridiculous!

Rainy winter means a wet, stormy humid summer.
i have no M or MIL to use their resources. No spare room to stick airers in. No outdoor undercover space to hang stuff up.
Our clothes horse is in our dining area, with a fan going. the clothes touch dh's back when he sits down to eat dinner (it's a tiny unit). when i breastfeed in that room, i have to turn the fan off, too cold for me otherwise.
when i've desperate, i hang wet items over the baby gates, whilst bilby is asleep. and on over the door hooks (with wet clothing hung up on curved end coathangers).
we only have the three of us, but i try to keep up with the washing, cos if i let it accumulate, there is nowhere to put "catchup" loads.
i think if we REALLY fell in a hole with washing, it would be a laundromat that would dig us out of that hole. Several big loads and the industrial size driers. i hate laundromats so would be last resort.
my place looks like a chinese laundry too! luckily i have a big deck that i've put ropes up everywhere to hang clothes on, but the weather's so crap they're still taking 2 days to dry...
Gigi! i hear you there! this the the first time i have asked MIL for anything. next week we will be back to isolation with no family or friend (but i look forward to meeting new people in our new town :):

we used to have the rope under the patio and it worked great esp when the wind picked up. but with 3/4 the house in boxes atm who knows where rope is
everyone seems to have heaters.. should i invest in one?
PP - oil heaters are great with littlies - we got a small one from target and its awesome :)
SS- I am having the same prob with drying clothes. Does yor oil heater take up alot of electricity? AM thinking of getting one.
Ali - not really - definately less than any other heater we've ever had!
might need to look into it.
i just dont know how wet and cold it is going to be down there! :P
