I usually only buy the 10kilo's box of DUO from BigW (sometimes two of them when on special) ... but ran out & bought the small box of ' New ' Duo from Coles to try it out ... wow, such a disappointment feeling ripped off
Bath, where about's in Brunswick do you buy the big OMO ??? ... As my folks live up the road from Brunswick (would you believe i was only shopping in Brunswick this past Sat for the first time in 20years) ;)
I can't use Dynamo or Fab on DD's sensitive skin but she is fine with Duo ... How is the OMO on sensitive skin ??? ... BATH anyone in your family have sensitive skin & obviously are fine with it (no reactions) ??? ... (Thanks :D)
Smiles: Bass Foods is on Victoria Street, to the left as you drive north up Sydney Rd Brunswick. I don't think it's open Sundays. I'm sure you'll find it a useful place to visit :) No one in my family has especially sensitive skin although my DD used to get eczema on her legs... but she seems to have grown out of that. I don't like highly perfumed laundry detergents and OMO isn't too bad compared to some if you just stick to 1 scoop per load. We'll have to make a trip there either this weekend or next so i'll update the price of the 20kg bag as it does seem to fluctuate.
Well, i so was happy to buy my usual big 10kilo box of Duo concentrate laundry powder from BigW yesterday for under $20 :D ... after my trying out the NEW version which i just can't compare
Still gonna check out Bath's suggestion of the shop in Brunswick at some point ;)
Well done Lorelle! So how much per kilo is the 10kg box of DUO (price divided by 10)?
Bath, ... yeh price$ divided by 10 :D ... Been buying this box for over a year now & on the occasion it's on special :D ... DD use to have a touch of eczema & once i started using this Duo concentrate she hasn't had it again other then when friends that have given her their children's preloved clothes washed in their laundry liquid/powder she then breaks out again !!
Hey, Bath does that place in Brunswick have disinfectants, dishwashing liquids, floor cleaners(for mopping), etc ... there ?? And if so, can you recommend any other products that they sell which you've given a try ?? ;)
Bass stocks some of the major brands of cleaners... but also some that are major brands overseas but not here in Australia like Persil (laundry powder) that I think is big in the UK and US. I'm pretty sure they also stock larger sizes of surface cleaners like Jiff. They stock fabric softeners but I don't use them. Yes, pretty sure they have bulk disinfectant though can't think of the brand (I'm not overly loyal to disinfectants... happy to experiment). Virtually everything a restaurant needs they stock... Chux clothes, scourers. Sometimes I go there to buy a particular brand and they don't have any in stock so they aren't as reliable as Coles for example... but they are always cheaper when they do have something in stock.
Bulk rice is another thing we always buy there... waaaaay cheaper than regular supermarkets... and honey... but that's off topic... might need to start a new thread on Bass foods ;)
Ooooh I love Persil! Used it all the time when I was in the UK. Also one of the top brands in New Zealand.
PS: I've been using the Radiant 2x concentrate and I'm really quite liking it LOL. Not noticed any difference in the cleanliness of my clothes compared to the old style concentrate.
Bath, sounds like a brilliant idea in starting a " Bass Food thread " (makes a change from the usual Aldi thread, even tho i'm an Aldi shopper)
... Honey, oh boy WE are big uses of honey in this household ;) ... Thanks again Bath :D
