Hey bextaj, we did our counselling throuch Concept as well.
It took us nearly four months to get a donor, but it depends on what you are after. IUI sperm is harder to get than IVF sperm as for IVF you can use any donor sperm as you only need a tiny amount and you can select the best looking one, but for IUI it has to be higher quality and more volume.
Also some donors specify that it has to go to a married couple (no singles) and no gay couples etc so that can also make things take longer.
I would definitely keep ringing them though, I called once a month and I was going to have to wait longer than I did except that they thought I was looking for IUI sperm when I actually needed IVF - once we cleared up the mix up we had sperm available that same day!

Hey Bec, thanks for the reply, ill have to give them a call and see how things are looking. Because hubby is the one diognosed with azoospermia our doc at concept wants to try a IUI, unstimulated cycle with me first so maybe it will take the full 6 months they said to find us a donor. Not to worry though after trying for over 4 years now thats really not so long:dance:
Fingers crossed for you guys and your donor journey, its been such a dramatic year for us getting diognosed and then making the decision to use a donor, not exactly the way you plan for things to turn out but its comforting to know we are not alone and our kids won't be either!
