This thread has been really helpful. I just placed an order through Label Kingdom for a basic 'twin pack' for my girls. Just want them for their sippy cups, bottles, etc. It was exactly what I wanted and only $28 with free delivery. Will update on delivery and the actual product when they arrive. :)
Bumping an old thread because it's that time of year nearly!!! Stuck on You has Free shipping for 3 days!
Also wondering if anyone can tell me where the best sew in ones are from????
Tan I just use iron labels for clothes
I've just unsubscribed from Stuck on You because they are overpriced even when they are on special.
I ordered from bright star kids this year. I used them for the first time last year no problems. They let you put just a family name too so you don't have to do seperate orders for each child if you don't want.
Olive do they last hun?? I worry with the iron on ones peeling off?? Maybe I didn't do them hot enough last time. :dunno: Zazou - they are expensive - I have used Label Kingdom so will check them and Bright Star kids out as well.
Never had one peel off! Even the ones on her bathers were fine
Tanstar, I've given up on the stuck on you iron on labels because they DO come off. DS1 is off to boarding school and as you can imagine, everything needs to be labeled, even his jocks  I got fabric sew in labels from wovenlabelsdirect, but I know others have gone through cashes which is nametapes. The stuck on you ones came off some of his clothes when I used them for a school excursion he went on and some didn't even come home! And yes, I did have them put on properly ;) The school doesn't recommend the iron on ones as they come off and they have had many problems with this and clothes not finding their way back to the right owner because of it.
And I also used brightstarkids last year and they were great - both DD's still have a full set of labelled textas they are using again this year. I just have to top up and buy some more labels for DS1
ETA - has anyone considered getting their kid's jumpers and hats etc actually embroidered with their name on them? I have done that for years with our jumpers and school hats and never had one go missing because even if they leave them at school they always find their way back.
I used the bright star because you recommended them earlier in this thread Trillian ;)
How much does embroidery cost? I would totally do that if our uniform had expensive items like blazers but on the whole it's pretty cheap so I generally stick to using a laundry marker.
it costs me $5 per item. On their hats they have their full name and on their jumpers they just have our surname so they can be handed down in the family. I had 2 complete sheet sets, 3 towels, a bag, 2 laundry bags, a hat and a beach towel embroidered with DS1's full name on them for school and it cost me $50. I also had the sheets and towels done with a larger size writing so it would be easier for the laundry people to see, so they would be about 2cm's tall?
