That's awesome to hear. Great news!!!
That's brilliant!
Just read your thread!! Well done!! How's it all going?? I hope you have continued to have success! Good on you for being so determined, it's so worth it. :)
Thank you.
We now feed straight from the breast exclusively :D
We have to use a nipple Shield as he still won't take the nipple so our next mission is to get off that.
He is still a little fussy at some feeds and falls asleep alot but we are doing our best to fill him up as he has until thurs to get back to his birth weight. If he isn't by then I guess we will have to reintroduce the ebm.
Should be ok tho, he poos and pees heaps and doesn't cry so he can't be going hungry :)
Awesome news!! All your hard work is paying off!! Hope you're pleasantly surprised by his weigh in on Thursday! :)
Sounds great.. Hope you get a good payoff on Thursday!
I'm just so happy tonight I thought I'd share....
W fed shield free tonight. Twice!!!
I cried the whole time I was so happy. My nips feel a bit shredded now tho, but oh so worth it :)
I'm looking forward to seeing if he will continue to feed without the shield. FX

YAY! Go W-Man!!!
Don't get carried away here mate - keep some shield feeds until the no-shield feeds aren't shredding!
WOOHOO!!! Great news!!! Well done. Have you got some cream for your nips? I used some cause J really hurt me while I was in hospital and it's MAGICAL.... if you don't let me know and I'll check the name of it :) Keep up the awesome work! :)
Yeah I have some cream. Not going as well today I'm afraid :(
He latched on once but let go and wouldn't take it back.
But I'm hopeful we will get there :D
Yay wtg!
Just keep in mind that it can take up to 6weeks to successfully accomplish breastfeeding as your both learning how to! Your Doing an amazing job and should be very proud of your self ;)
To help the nipples, rub some ebm into them and leave them out to try a couple of times a day ;)
Glad to hear that you are having success with the shields.
don't rush getting him off them, trust me I used them til for up to 12 weeks til my son managed to really get the hang of it and I knew he was latching on properly.
So happy to hear that it is all working out.
Enjoy your breastfeeding!!!
