Ours. If those 20 something mens are allowed to call me Aunty, then they are Neffews!
Interestingly, I made an announcement in plat the other day which I can post here now. But I announced that myself and babydragonz were aunties again.
My sister (usagikat - non poster) had a baby girl just before xmas. babydragonz is my brothers ... um, well its kinda partner, except that he has commitment issues. Anyway, even though they are separated, because babydragonz is the mummy of our niece & nephew, she is the aunt of our babies. itms.
She is my SIL, no matter what, iykwim.

I say you are depending on the relationship. I have a girlfriend that I refer to as an Aunty to both my girls because she is so close to them and us. My husbands sister has a son and I don't refer to him as my nephew - more so his sisters baby. we are married her and her partner are not, I also refer to her as just Daddy's sister rather than äunty to the girls. She doesn't uphold the role, nor does she show any interest in the girls so i figure thats all she is as far as relations go. We do have a fairly estranged relationship however.
If all is cool yes you are an Aunty!

It's funny because if you were writing a Will and you wanted to leave them something the correct term to use is "my husbands nieces and nephews"

I think it doesn't matter whether the children are born before or after a couple get together, they are "our" nieces & nephews.
DH had 2 nieces and 3 step nieces when we met. He doesn't have the step nieces anymore coz my BIL and his partner split up. But the 2 nieces are our nieces, as are my sister's 3 girls. So "we" have 5 nieces.

I consider DH's niece and soon to be nephew like my own, and he does the same for my side. I have 4 nephews and a niece and the boys LOVE "uncle Joe" or "ush Joe" as the yougest boy calls him...
I don't think it matters when they were born, once you are married his family is yours etc.

If they are your kids' (or future kids') cousins, they are your nieces and nephews, IMO....
