well she sounds like she's trying to live your lives!
Have you thought about just not telling her? I know it's not the done thing but if she's going to be a beeatch about it anyway... she'll figure it out eventually! Probably a pretty immature thing to do, but it takes the power away from her to have hysterics and would let her know you really don't care what she thinks. in a way it's disowning her!
and when she finally gets word and confronts you - you can throw her bastard comments back in her face and give her a what-for on where she'll stand in your child's life... someone who can call a baby that doesn't deserve the honour of grandparent.
I'm not sure you should let someone like this in your life despite her family position or why your DF would even let her near you! His mum, his problem!
i know harder said than done but do try to cut her out of your thoughts, you don't need the stress or worry.
and big congrats, hope you can set this aside and enjoy your pregnancy with those who truly love and respect you both.

I have to agree with that post - thanks grub17, and I agree that anyone who calls an unborn a bastard doesnt deserve the role.
I will keep this post updated if and when we decide to spill the beans :)

Just thought I'd update and let you all know MIL didnt take the pregnancy announcement as bad as we thought!
Happy dance! SHe is however, trying to push the marriage thing! But *I* REFUSE to be married while pregnant just to make them happy!

Well MissM that is technically a really good outcome. Stuck to your guns with the marriage thing. Ladies like her will rub your face in the fact you got married because of her for the rest of your life!
