the ttw certainly seems to last forever drgirl - i hope this one goes a little quicker than the last.
i have everything crossed for you both and your partners
Thanks DrGirl and Cath&Denise.
AF arrived yesterday so the bloodtest tomorrow is now only a formality. I'm going to take a break from TTC for a few months, I have a huge overseas holiday starting in 2 weeks, so I'll be back after Easter for the next attempt.
oh babysteps, that sux that af arrived.
where are you travelling? (i love exploring new places)
af arrived (very much uninvited) this morning, ending our hopes for our fourth home insemination :(
Hey all,
Well our second tww ended abruptly yesterday morning with a very much unwanted af :crying:
So, it's back to the F/S for us, to start a whole new wait.
We hope that everyone else is doing ok, we are sending luck your way
I'm sorry to hear, leather & lace,
Hopefully this new cycle is yours!
Oh that sux.
Thinking of you.
Cath
hey everyone,
well we've been a bit slack these last couple of weeks, so we thought we would just pop in and say g'day and see how everyone is going.
After 2 negative results we got pretty emotional (we know that in the grand scheme of things 2 tries isn't really that much but at the time it felt like it was never going happen) so, we've just had a one month break and now we are refreshed and actually really looking forward to af arriving this month, now we sound like weirdos :p.
Hopefully April is the month for us and for all the other POAS addicts out there :hiding: (you know you are)
today is the first day of our TWW.:crossfingers:. saw gyno recently he said give it another 3 months of at home if no luck we'll take the next step. hope this time works.
Wishing you lots of luck Sareeb :crossfingers:, we hope your tww goes nice and fast with a wonderful :bfp: at the end.
We are on day 3 of our third tww, so we feel pretty :dunno: right now, but we will get there :crossfingers:.
:bfn: starting the process all over again:(
oh sareeb, i'm sorry to hear that.
look after each other.

Wow, here I am at this part of the journey and yes it IS going to be excruciating!
Since I've never been there with men my dear old B.M (best mate) is filling me in on the lovely joys of 'post sex'......ewwww!
"You just feel grotty and wet".yep.....I'm just finding that out!
It was actually a relief because I thought it was me,.."Don't tell me this is still F.M!...surlely I wouldn't be this long getting to O+ day!"
All these sorts of 'new' and strange and weird thoughts go through your head, but the MORNING AFTER......Hell my boobies hurt...:redface:like I've been punched by the wicked 13 year old during puberty! "Does this hurt!?" Remember that girls!!!! I keep checking just to make sure "yes they really do hurt it's not my imagination!" not to mention the headache, diahorrea and feeling like a bloated blimp!
B.M is convinced I'm knocked up! Well, we won't bet chuppa chups yet!!!!!!LOL:pray:
Its funny but my B.M told me to write a big long letter to my baby about my thoughts my emotions, my ALREADY cravings for Pineapple, Tropical Juice and fruit salad!:doh:Oddley I read later that Pineapple contains an enzyme that aids implantation for older women!! Far out!
Whats even weirder is that Im walking around in George St at night on my own in transit to get the next morning train out, and Im not even scared! Its like "HEY.....I've got even MORE reasons to defend my self now (well, just in case!) and I 'WEAR HEAVY COLORADOS!'.... I'd be gone by the time they got back up off the ground!:D.
And yes..it's SO TRUE.........I CAN'T sleep.thats why it's now 3:05 in the morning!
I am even beginning to wonder if those funny image verifications would spell out a new babies name......Now THATS warped!
I'm back in the 2WW, although this time hopefully with more success than my previous IUI attempts. We're doing an IVF cycle this time around, and I had a 7 cell embryo transferred today. Now I have to distract myself until the 9th June when I have my blood test to find out if it sticks. *fingers crossed*
:pray:best of luck babysteps with your tww
Hey all just introducing ourselves.. Im Rachel and my partner is Tasman.. currently on the 2WW and counting down the days that are quite simply taking forever!! This is our 3rd at home insemination, 3rd time lucky hopefully! Our first 2 attempts were with a different donor and this 3rd time was with someone who has definately got a very high sperm count.. so hopefully!! Is anyone else waiting to test at the moment??
Rach & Tas
Good luck Rachel and Tasman.
Cath
Hello,
We've been a little bit lurky on here during the last 2 weeks which was our 2ww and we thought maybe now we should actually write something and introduce ourselves. We've read literally 100s of posts and they've all just been soooo helpful so straight up we just wanted to say thanks.
Also we maybe wanted to spread a little hope because we just got our :bfp: on DPO16 after an IUI and pregnyl injections :leap:. We went through a clinic in Sydney who have been totally fantastic!
Anyway it's early days but HCG levels all looking good.
Sending HEAPS of :bluedust: to everyone who's going through the tough 2ww.
Hols and Kaz
wow guys! congratulations! nothing beats the excitement of that second positive line! wishing you a healthy pregnancy :)
Congratulations!
Which clinic did you go through? (if you don't mind me asking)
Thanks, it's all so exciting, difficult to believe but exciting!
We've got another blood test on Tuesday just to check HCG levels are going up as they should and a scan in 2 weeks so hopefully all is good.
We used an unknown donor through Fertility First in Hurstville (Sydney), the staff there are all great and really knew what they were doing and it doesn't feel clinic-y at all which made the whole process really relaxed and calm.
Just in case anyone's interested (I know it helped us heaps) the main symptoms now looking back were a tiny bit of spotting at dpo6, funny tugging feeling like very mild af cramp from dpo8, sore bbs, especially near armpit, raised bbts (although we really weren't quite sure what we were doing) and hot flushes towards the end of the 2 weeks. There were others but we're pretty sure they were a result of the 3 follow up injections of pregnyl.
:goodluck: to everyone who's waiting

Congratulations KaznHols!!! What fantastic news!!! I hope yesterday's BT went well. Not long now until your scan.... Nothing like seeing that little blob's heart beating away in there!!!
I wish you all the very best for a H&H 9 months. I'll be seeing you around the Preg threads!
