Great news Danni! Take a bandage or brace with you next boxing class as you may find you need it when you punch for a few weeks - it will just give you a bit more support.
Lisa - ooo I know that feeling. D watches my face intently to see if it hurts. Mobic is a prescription anti-inflammatory and is a tablet. It is one of the more gentle ones for your tummy. I've tried topical anti inflamms in the past ) so things like neurofen gel and voltaren gel; I find they're really only good for superficial and mild injuries. I was on oral Voltaren for a long time (too long) which DID help... but I was also taking 150mg a day (2 tablets three times a day). Ideally you should only need 1 tablet once or twice a day. At first one tablet was working well for me but as my injuries progressed - the tablets became less effective. Mobic works a little differently and, as I said, is much gentler on the body. When I was on voltaren, I'd get bad nausea, heart burn, heart palpitations, HORRID AF (really heavy and clotty). I've not had any issues in the 2 months I've been on mobic (which I'm on once a day and only take it when I really need it).
I've not had accupuncture - it's not something I feel I could do. For a nurse, I'm chicken ;) But I have a friend who gets it done regularly and loves it (although they don't have it for injury reasons). I'm a HUGE fan of Osteopaths, massage, and physio. My trainer recently had cupping done for the first time and reported it was crap - I told him I could have saved him some money  I certainly advocate people try different things to see what works... so long as you see someone who is accredited in the field they practice. But as soon as it feels like it hurts or is making it worse... STOP. Walk away. Nothing is worth aggrevating an injury.
