thinking of you md xoxo
Well I saw the Head Honcho Surgeon again today, to get the CT scan results. All clear, all good. :D :D :D I'm sooooo relieved. I had been terrified he was going to say it was all through my liver (I have fatty liver issues and so get discomfort in that area of my body on a frequent basis). Plus my sister reminded me today that my Grandma died of liver cancer. I knew that at the time, had sort of forgotten, I think that might have been playing on my subconscious too.
This is only the first step along the way. They have referred me to the oncology unit, where it's likely I will have a bone marrow biopsy (lovely procedure involving a thing that looks like a t-shaped corkscrew done under a local :o) and hopefully that will be ALL CLEAR. Regardless of whether it is or not there's a good chance I'm in for some chemo too. Or plenty more poking and monitoring over a period of time. I'm also having an ultrasound and a needle biopsy on a lumpy bit of boob (not likely to be remotely related but from now on I'll be a nervous nellie about these things). Just to be on the safe side.
Apparently the lymphoma was growing all through the wall of the gallbladder - which is very rare and weird. They gave me a picture of it (souvenir postcard LOL) - had a great time showing everyone up at the hospital! LOL The gorgeous nurse who looked after me after my surgery was working there today, so again I felt really supported and looked after. I don't remember seeing her last week, I was in complete shock that day.
My own feeling is that this will be ok. I had the briefest snatch of a glimpse of my long life rolling out before me for years to come, yesterday when I was on the way to see my guru-teacher-man. I am also now very aware of the dynamics in my life that caused this dysfunction to manifest in that part of my body. There are some really important changes that I need to make - to be more present, day to day, and to get real with myself about my purpose on this earth. I know what it is and I've been hiding from it for the last 5 years. Time to push myself out of my safety zone. I'm hoping that if I learn this lesson well enough now, the universe won't see fit to shout even louder to get my attention!
So glad to hear your good news MD... :cheer:
You are a wise woman - listen to your heart & your inner voice. They rarely are wrong! I understand well the shout of the Universe. I hope you have heard what you need so this lesson will pass and leave you healthy and well...
Yay on the good results. Hopefully it is the start of more.. All good ones.
I guess it has made you think about every single part of your life and analyze everything. Hope your journey continues to be brighter from now on.
