Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I am home now and DH has gone to France. Before anyone complains, I insisted he go. I'm not having him moping for a year that he didn't get to go, and anyway my parents are visiting which will just stress him even more. Plus DS's pyjama party will be ruined if DH is around as he won't want to cuddle up to three little boys in bed and watch Tractor Tom!
My mother found out I was in hospital on Monday and wa a bit surprised, as I'd not said I was ill. So DH didn't tell her anything - and she has decided I was admitted for bullimia. I am giving up trying to fathom her now.
But, in short, the doc thouught it was a migraine affecting a different part of my brain, so I am going to have another MRI at some point and some more hospital appointments. I have also promised to go back if I feel ill, the new tablets don't work, I get another migraine of any description or I just feel a bit funny. So there we have it. I have painless fits which are migraines and head-meltdowns in pain which are migraines. Great disease, huh?

Oh LZ, I hope you get some answers and treatment that works soon. :hug: I hope (despite her obvious inability to listen) that your Mum is at least taking care of you.

And now my throat is really badly swollen. This started late last week and has been getting worse. My whole neck hurts and I am having trouble swallowing, talking and now breathing (just painful, I'm not about to die). Seeing another GP in about 4 hours. *virtual sigh - can't do it irl* why am I not just healthy?

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and well-wishes. I'm sorry I didn't update you earlier - I have tonsilitis. For the first time in my life! For years I thought it was awful and you had to lie on the sofa and eat ice-cream all day, because that's what my cousin did when she had it when we were in junior school. But no, I'm working still (can't afford more time off ill, no sick pay) and just having to stop DS throwing his arms around my swollen and painful neck. On the plus side, not only can I not eat much but I'm not hungry, so looks like I'll be able to fit into my clothes again soon! I had been fretting I'd have to buy new stuff because I'm too lazy to diet back to skinny. (Not that I'm fat, not by a long shot, but when your clothes are all 6s and 8s and you suddenly become 10s and 12s it isn't that confortable - on the plus side, my pg clothes were all normal clothes in 10s and 12s so it's not like I was going naked.)
Joking aside, I do feel crap. But what can you do?
Glad you know what it is...tonsillitis sucks! I had it once quite badly... DH didn't understand - 'it's just a sore throat'...nup, much more horrible than that.
Painkillers, rest (as much as you can) and I hope you get better soon :hug:
:hug:Ryn, so glad it's nothing serious. Horrible, yes, but not serious. I hope you are feeling better really soon and in the meantime everyone cuts you some slack.

I hate tonsillitis - you never realise just how much you swallow until you get stabbed in the throat every time! :hug:
