hehehe i don't think i'd be much chop at it - but he pulled all three of them out of the boxes with no problem at all. i suspect he does it a bit for people that shop there a lot

It's been a long afternoon. 13 of the small sets together (the friends $10-$20 sets). She just kept bringing them. E put a couple together 90% or more herself. Symmetry of some things helps. A lot.
So DH finally unwraps the Lego MIL and SIL have given us to give to DS for Christmas to check out what's there....and there's a Lego separator in one of the boxes. OMG, how awesome is it?! I was so sick of DS coming over with tiny blocks to pull apart and now he can do 90% on his on The ones he can't do, I do with the separator and save my poor nails - yippee
DS has finally also taken to the idea of building something and leaving it together for more than 10 seconds instead of immediately pulling it apart to make something else...so now we have his 'precious Lego artwork' as he calls it, lined up along the TV cabinet...rocket plane, racing car, normal car, dinosaur, rabbit and some of his own creations...people, a dog and a clown plus Mummy's free styled pelican made the cut too
Seperators are the bomb!!!
DS went to a 5yo girl's birthday party today and I bought her some lego. I think she liked it! She seemed pretty excited when she opened her present. Win
And FINALLY! DS has got 10 stars on his reward chart so he got a mini lego set - Harry Potter Potions Lab. He was very very good getting ready for kindy this morning and got his 10th star. He was so good that we had enough time to give him his lego prize AND put it together! He was so excited. I will post a pic tonight.
When he was done he asked for the "girl Harry Potter lego" lol.
I am contemplating getting DS1 Lego mindstorms for Christmas.
Only it's like $500.
Google it (or check it out on the Lego website). Looks amazing. It's what he played with at Legoland and did much better than a heap of other much older kids.
O.M.G Div, minestorms look totally awesome!!
Little too old for my DS yet, but I will definitely put them on the list for a few year's down the track!
It's the EVO I think.
DGC is doing some research as it's not yet available in oz. I can put my name on a wait list at big w but DGC thinks he can source it overseas. The only issue will be electrical compatibility.
DGC is amazeballs.
Wow, that looks amazing! FWIW I can put it in my shopping bag on the official lego store site.
That looks incredible Divvy! I reckon DS might have to saving his pocket money lol. He might have enough by the time he's old enough for it. We might have to start giving him pocket money too lol.
Girls have circled a list for x-mas and have been playing with the birthday lego which is still built but DD2 is going to destroy it all soon I'm sure!
Having had all the friends stuff set up at once last week, dd decided there was too much on the table at once (well duh!) and agreed to out away some of it last night. She then dictated what had to be left set up. I was allowed to pack away the accessory some sets fully, and some only the accessory bits went away. I had to "leave out all the cars and boats and building a mum, I don't need the trees and stuff though". Her memory is pretty good. I was siting trying to work out what bits went with what set and she was helping me a lot to sort it out. We do have one tree I'm just not sure where it goes though. Tonight's job will be to find where it belongs!
I read today "By 2019, Humans Will Be Outnumbered By Lego Minifigs"
"Since their introduction in 1978, Lego's Minifigs have, um, reproduced at a rapid rate. In fact, the toymaker has been making the little fellas at such a pace that they'll outnumber humans by 2019.
As of 2006, there were 4 billion Minifigs in the world; projecting forward both human and Lego populations suggests that tiny plastic men will outnumber us by 2019. Imagine that: a world where there are more Minifigs than fellow homosapiens."
personally I don't get the Minifigs thing - but I can see their appeal.
Lol, DP mentioned this fact the other day
Girls did their wish list... Santa, mum & dad & friends are in for some big $$$$ I think
Big W have a toy sale starting Thurs next week - some friends stuff (school etc) a bit cheaper. Quite a few City trucks $10 off. Some star wars stuff cheaper too
One of the quickest threads ever!
Off you go to #2... here
