Christmas Cards...

I love receiving them and still send them out too. I always buy charity cards and then recycle so feel a little better about the environmental side of things and the money spent. To my folks, ILs, great aunt and DH's nanna and great aunt we send a photo card of the girls with Santa.

I personally don't like email messages instead of Christmas cards. I sort of think that if you can't be bothered to send a personal message, then I don't want the bulk produced email mail out.

I love sending cards and I love receiving them. I love them best of all when they're a bit personalised, like with a photo or a short note in them. My theory is the card is just as much about the little packet of energy that you send when you think lovingly of someone, so I try to put that effort in. I don't always send all the ones I want to, but I do try to send a few each year. I like to get various charity cards and I've got a sparkly rope hanging up in the lounge room each year and the cards look lovely hung on there. It's also nice to have them up in years when we've been far from "home"

I love sending and receiving Christmas cards. I send out about 20 each year. Just writing that little personal message in a card seems a lot more caring. In this day and age with so much FB and email, that medium to send Christmas messages seems less valuable.

I send them, but my list is short. Mainly for those friends and family who are not near by. Depending on who they are, I put in a couple of photos of the girls from during the year.

Not big on writing messages in them, just not my style, am the same for birthday cards. Hope no-one takes it too personally, I am just not a word person and it all comes out a bit blunt.

We do them every year - I love receiving them (especially in the mail) and we do a photo one of DS now :) I just posted mine this morning actually after writing them all last night - all 60!! :o
I think its a nice tradition, and I like putting them all up in the house as it just adds to all the Christmas Decorations. If people that I am sending them to have kids, I always address them to the kids too, as I like to think they get a kick out of a card in the letterbox addressed to them :)

DD1 and I have made 25 christmas cards this year, im yet to send them, but i will. although i normally have a few left over that i never quite got around to sending. so i have cut down and just sending to a few.
