gosh, I looooove any homemade sweets, divine!! Any of the suggestions are fantastic, my faves would be the rum balls and apricot balls, but anything homemade is delish!
I love making chocolate snowballs and dairy milk rocky road!
Last year I made shortbread and popped them into moccona jars .,.. its the first year I have NOT bought giftsfor certain family members and th elook on their face said it all,I will never go to that sort of effort for them again. They never ever gave us anything for Xmas in the pastand did last year so I felt kind of bad too.
This year they will just a token bottle of wine.
Anyhoo.
I second the fudge recipe and think just plain choc balls or choc peppermintwould be nicer than rum , however I don't like rum ... would baileys work??
Baileys truffles work really well. You can also use Frangelico (mmmm, choc-hazelnut!), Tia Maria or most other flavoured liquers if so inclined. I might have to have a go at fudge myself this year since I'm not planning on making another carribean rum cake this year - to DH's disappointment.
Baileys always works ;) :p
