we do random but at night I kinda smooth it out a bit.
if you want color schemes- how about your boys fav colors for the 1st year?
Ours is hot pink and silver, although I don't even put it up every year! I guess seen as though bubba is due in jan I'm going to have to make more of an effort next year, might stock up on the after Xmas sales this year and go all out next year!
I will admit we bought them when we were DINKs, and had not long sold my house after I moved in with him. We'd found out about our fertility issues ad decided we could either dwell on the infertility and withdraw a try and ignore Christmas seeing its so kidlet focused, or we could embrace the magic and go with the idea of "if you build it they will come". Was still another three users before we had our own kidlet to share Christmas with, but we embraced it and continue to turn our house into a Christmas wonderland every year. For us as much as for her an her cousins
We also do a Celery Xmas tree

This was our tree in 2008. We don't always use the Poinsettias in the tree every year, sometimes they are used as other decorations :)

TAKE TWO!! :) Thanks BG!! XX
I hope the links work. x
links not visible Sunny - you need to share the public link at the bottom of the page rather than the address in the address bar. with the way the new fb photos pop up in front of fb, instead of changing page, it doesnt' automatically show up - you need to hit F5 for it to refresh into a proper window. the link is down the bottom of the page, underneath the photo and comments
Just did an edit of PP, hope it works :)
Thanks again BG! I just hope it worked! :))
yup, worked that time!
We have two trees. My 6' designer-looking golden tree, with graduated baubles in four different sizes (large on the bottom to small at the top), clear fairy lights and 24 small golden stars (one for each day in December before Christmas) and a big gold star for each Sunday in Advent, each star has its own decoration and place on the tree. The golden angel goes on after the Church service on Christmas Eve.
DS has a small 2' tree with bright colours and multi-coloured fairy lights. He decorates it himself and has even made some of the decorations (including the angel for the top of the tree). He will have it in his bedroom this year and he is thrilled. Last year it was the only tree we had up and I did miss my tree, much as Liebling loved the craziness of his.
