The 'padding' will depend on how big ur boxes are. Also if u haven't got ribbon, twine could work too. Raid the kids craft box for red or green cardboard, cut out a star or a Christmas tree as ur tag maybe?

If you want the 'tissue' hanging out look, then you might need cellophane things. And leave the lid of the boxes at the bottom as 'base'. You can cover it up but will prob need to fold it into itself. Could work.
