How about a craft box with some simple headbands, plain clips, craft glue, appliques so she can make her own headbands and hair clips.:

for these i would also check out bookstores. readings in melbourne has gorgeous ones and also boutique-ish toy stores tend to have really lovely old school type colouring books.:
