normally mark, luke n i spend it at my parents, having a few drinks, watching the carols and helping wrap the rest of the pressies for my parents. we do a brunch on xmas morn with my 2 other sister's before we go onto our partner's families but this year my family are coming to our place xmas morn so xmas eve at our place we will be going to see santa arrive at one of the houses in the estate that have a xmas light display and hanging with the neighbours
Working from 5am to 1pm this year. Ah well, I guess it was Shel working last year! Normally the day is as per normal, nothing exciting happens. We do a big toy clean up in preperation of the spoiling (I mean Christmas Day...), and pile up toys we'd like to get rid of that are too young for Jazz or whatever other reason, them take them to MIL on Christmas Day (she volunteers in a Red Cross Shop). That's about it.
When we were kids our tree never went up to Christmas Eve. It was a nice tradition but now I do decorating a tree early December and keeping it up a bit longer now I can make that choice ;) hehe
We have dinner, then watch some Xmas Carols then head off to look at Xmas lights!! We love it!!
Ps. Nice to see you back here Ngala! :)
This one will be spent:
Watching Spicks and Specks Xmas Special and Dr Who Xmas Special on the ABC.
Nerd out,
aas.
;-)
With the exception of last year, we always go to a late night mass, this year it will be a family service on Xmas eve. Christmas day I usually cook a roast this year MIL is doing that so this year Xmas morning we do our family chrissy then head behind to MIL's to have lunch. I am looking forward to not having to do all the preparations this year ...slack aren't I
I have the carols on the background while I am preparing the table ready for lunch the next day and doing any final touches to cleaning etc. I have my presents well wrapped before Christmas, as I don't trust my kids to NOT to get up at least once after they've gone to bed that night LOL.
