We never really do anything on Valentines day, don't see the point really coz we already have anniversaries, etc.
That's a good idea and very kind of you.
I'm not into spending a lot on V Day but it's nice to do something. Last year I made my man heart shaped rissoles with little arrows out of rosemary. They were cute!
I have nooooo idea if my Dh has anything planned and i know if i plan something he will too so im best of just leaving him lol
i am hoping maybe some flowers and something nice
i have some idea what to get DH but i dunno yet

Non event here this year, we have a naming day on Saturday and we're the 'godparents' (not sure if that's the right term for a non religious ceremony??) so we'll be busy with that.
It's hit and miss here, some years he does something, others not.

it appears we're having roast lamb with all the trimmings for dinner on Saturday night...
we don't do anything spesh for v-day, as my birthday is the next day! This year I know I'm getting massages!!! I so can't wait!
Complete non-event this year, as usual.
DH and I have been fighting all week (I've slept on the couch every night since Sunday) and my parents are going out to dinner (because my mother would probably divorce dad if he didn't do the whole flowers/jewellery/choccies/overpriced dinner at overpriced restaurant on V-Day for her) so we would have nobody to watch DD for us even if we wanted to do something.
I had to buy some new shoes this week because *stupidstupidstupidbratty* BIL threw out my ballet flats and my favourite pair of Chucks, so I haven't bought DH anything because I'm broke now, and I know he hasn't bought me anything because he hasn't been near the mall in over a month (I think Santa photos with DD was the last time he went shopping) and nothing's arrived in the mail lately so he hasn't bought me anything online either.
So... it'll just be any old day, me entertaining DD and doing laundry (if it stops raining, that is) while he sorts out his dad's stupid boat, then he'll sit on WoW for the rest of the day and just eat whatever I put in front of him without even looking at it.
Yes, I'm bitter. :)

So I woke up this morning to find DH standing over me with a huge grin on his face and holding out a gift-wrapped box (looks like jewellery!)...
Cue frantic phone call to my parents to take me to the mall while DH is out shifting his dad's boat to its new mooring so I can get him something.
He said he'll be home soon so I'll open my present then, and we'll see how the rest of the day goes. Still not sure what we're doing for dinner, probably just whatever I can drag out of the freezer because I just got the phone bill and can't afford to buy takeaway, so...

i got DH a little biker teddy bear for V-day - is wearing a black bandana with red hearts, and a leather type vest - very cute.
he got me a teddy with a purple miniature rose.
we both knew cos we haven't been shopping without each other in ages!
i just got out of the shower - found 10 long stemmed red roses on my pillow - in the few minutes i'd been in the shower, he ran outside and got roses from the garden. totally unexpected and so sweet!
we're going to cook roast tonight for dinner - but that's a "both of us" thing.
Nada zilch like usual :)

Aw thats so cute Dach! I cant wait til my boys are old enough to make things like that (although you would think DH would have thought of it this morning while I was sleeping in........cheap and easy, heart warming Vday present that he didnt have to put effort into ;) )
I haven't read everyone's comments, but its now after 4.30 in the arvo, and the Man and I have not even hinted at saying Happy Valentines Day (let alone anything to do with it!). He's been at work all day, and has just left with the 4wd and trailer full of goodies for the bushfire relief. You know, I forgot that it was Valentine's Day until I read the title of this thread. Oops!
Just another day here....Dh is going into the city tonight for work...so ill be home alone with the 3 kids...no presents...i said we were not going to buy gifts/cards and for a change he must have listened.
