i love love love xmas. its my absolute fave time of the year. i shop all year so i have the presents sorted by the first week of dec and can enjoy the season then.
usually get chrisco and hamper king but they werent to my liking this year and were way too exxy so i put the money in a seperate account and will do an online grocery order or 2 (with that sort of money i could probably do 5 or 6) to come the weeks around xmas instead.
i got so preoccupied in big w the other day when i realised the xmas stuff was out already and i bought some cute little characters.
its just so exciting. it truly is a magical time of year.
i hope my dd loves it as much as i do when she starts to understand

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
:leap: :leap:
We planned our advent calendar last night (we do events based advent where we do a Christmas activity everyday ... so excited), I pulled out my Better Homes and Gardens magazines and started planning my Christmas cooking, decorations and table settings. DH has started planning the kids games for our Christmas eve party that we have every year with our best friends and tonight we are watching our first Christmas movie (DH pulled out our Christmas movie collection last night but we got carried away planning advent and didn't get a chance to watch a movie).
I am going to Spotlight this weekend to buy fabric for the DD1 and DD2's December dresses. Every year, we make them a special outfit to wear to the carols, Christmas parties and other Christmassy things we do during December. Last year they needed two each because we were doing so much stuff.
We are Christmas lovers in this house ... I love this time of year!

i'm excited - kinda!!
Not much to play for the actual day here, as it's at mum's place this year - so it will be a bit of a non-event for me planning-wise!
BUT, all but our adult Kris Kringle presents are organised - and mostly paid for. will be picking up the layby's in December. May have to stash the big present somewhere else though - DD is old enough to ask questions now!
am waiting on some paper to arrive as i'm going to make an advent calendar out of scrapbooking materials. really must remind the person to post that stuff actually!
