Auto/Capsule Style Coffee Machines -advice? Recommendations?

Personally, I'd just buy a normal expresso machine. They're pretty easy to use, make a great cup of coffee and you can buy any brand or make of coffee that you like.

I do my best to make ethical purchases where I can, so I like that with a normal expresso machine I can buy fair trade coffee, and I also like that I'm not creating a whole heap of unnecessary waste and landfill by using single serve pods that serve no other real purpose than being an overpriced gimmick - JMO (sorry if I've offended anyone) :hide:

I bought a Nespresso "Pixie" today from DJ's :) it's rrp is $399 and I got it for $320 plus I can claim $50 back from Nesspresso- so $270, a bargain!!!

It's a perfect size for my space challenged kitchen and DH can just heat his milk in the microwave and not bother with the frother when he's off to work :)

We've got the pixie one too, it's fab. DS highlight of getting home from Kindy is making me my decaf!

We have a nesspresso delonghi one with a milk frother attached that we were given for our engagement pressie that is fantastic but i dont know about cost cos it was a gift...

I'm also interested in a pod type coffee machine but I wont buy Nestle products (nespresso). Can anyone recommend a good alternative?

I was at Myer the other day and Saeco make a beautiful machine that take Lavazza pods. The pods tasted a little smoother than the nescafe ones. My SIL has the George one, I sometimes find it a bit bitter, the Lavazza was beautiful.
