I hate the fact that after being in this house for 2yrs we are still sorting out crap the HE won't get rid of!
I have 3.5 metre long bench in the kitchen. This would be fantastic but it gets covered in crap from one end to the other. Honestly, I have no idea where it all comes from. I tidy it all off & the next day more crap has accumulated :wall: It's not even kitchen kitchen related stuff. It has mail, tools, important paperwork, dog leash, magazines, face washers & a whole heap of screws on it at the moment to name a few!! I even got a nice basket thing to put stuff in so it wouldn't get strewn all over the bench...it's just overflowed!!
I have no carpet in my bedrooms or main living room, just concrete. I can't remember what nice soft carpet feels like on my poor feet...
I have floor to ceiling windows but 2 of the bedrooms & another living area face west. In the summer these rooms get stifling hot but we haven't got a verandah up on that side of the house yet, no air con either!!
There is a man made hill of gravel in my backyard!! DH won't get rid of it as he wants to use it for the above mentioned verandah foundations...it's been there for 6 years!! It may only be 1.5 metres high but it's still makes me mad everytime I go outside.
I think that's it. Used to be a much longer list but renovations have been full steam ahead. I guess I can't complain.
hahaha, this sounds so much like my Dad! Until recently their house didn't have any skirting boards in a few of the rooms (the house at the time was built by Dad 15 years ago) Also, it's meant to have gables at the front, which are still sitting down near the back shed. And, my personal fave... anything dad doesn't need a burries. He recently put up a new shed which required him to dig out some of the curbing down the drive way. Dunno where to store it? Well He'll just dig a great big hole and burry it, thankyou ever so kindly! Luckly they live on a decent amount of land.
Everything so thank goodness we are currently renters.
I hate the small, tiny, useless for light and barely useful for air windows.
I hate showers over baths, and I hate toilets in bathrooms.
I hate that our kitchen doesn't have 'a place' for a fridge.
That the design of the living room ultimately requires a modular lounge to keep it tidy (ie no couches everywhere)
I hate the positioning of nearly every single power point and light switch.
The floorboards are unsealed, rotting, and retain no warmth in the house.
but, like i said, we're renting so I guess thank goodness that is the case.
