Mixy that was beautiful, bought tears to my eyes reminded me so much of the birth of my second child Isaak.
Thank you for sharing it.
am i missing something? what did you post mixy?
Tegam- go back one page i added the montage of our birth :D its in the birht story to, how long will it take to be "approved?" why is that anyway?
they are some of the most beautiful photos i have ever seen! birth as it should be!
btw nice placenta
Thanks :D my SIL took them, yes i agree that placenta did an awesome job helping me with my baby! might help ppl not freck out when they see them to :) Birth story is in that section now :)
OH Bugger and now i have to go to bed and miss reading it til tomorrow... ;) Can i share your link with a friend on FB.... ill do it through the inbox????
Lovely story!
Reminds me that I have still to organise a birth pool...eek!
Thanks :)
Yes you can share it, i love have it shared around, i feel like i can spread the information that womens bodys are normal and CAN birth baby's, even 11 lb ones, even at home, we dont explode or anything! lol
How do you feel about such a fast delivery? after my second 4 hour labour i am hoping for a bit faster next time, 10 mins is alittle faster than im hoping for though!
Thanks for the feed back on my birth story :) its a little spesh, imo :)
Oh to have a 10 min birth how fabulous! The shortest I could manage was 45mins of active labour!
Well i guess i shouldnt complain and it was very lovely but i wouldnt order for another. My 1st was 7hrs (38+5 posterior), 2nd 2hrs (36+posterior) and the 3rd (38weeks) was like
" i feel like a shower, DH talk to me while i shower". Get out of the shower, sit on side the bed. DH says, ill just go make you a cup of tea, i say No i want you to stay with me, Dh why, 1st contaction (low period pain sore but not too bad), Me: call the MW, DH dials and is asking me why?? MW asks why i want her Me: I just do.... 2nd contraction: oooooohhhhhh, 3rd contaction Me: get the mirror i need to see whats going on, 4th contraction: Is that the head or cord 5th contraction WATERS EXPLODE EVERYWHERE AND ALL OVER DH, he almost falls through the sliding door as he jumps back so quick
6th contraction. head... .shoulders.. ..placenta... . Oh its a boy, baby cries. Dh cuts cord as i want to move and cord VERY short. I say call MW tell her baby born all ok and to let herself in....
Look at phone...10mins exactly since first call!
WOW talk about quick, intense and beautiful.
Took MW 40mins to arrive and she found us having our first BF in bed with DH! I get up, have a shower, strip the bed while DH and MW weigh and dress baby, go out to the lounge room and have that cupper... Normal day really! Older kids get home and meet their new brother!
I think id go back to the 2hr one next time if i could pick, but more sure that it will just pop out when i bend over for something! Only planned homebirth as i was warned that the next would be quick. Thats was the only reason that the MW could think of while i didnt go into shock. LOL Poor DH didnt even really think it was the real thing til my waters broke LOL.
All fun
wow that was fast! thats fantastic! yes i like to know whats happening, i would like 2 hrs, but we dont get to choose thes things! i was already 5 cm dialated (self checked) so was a little ticked hat it still took 4 hours lol
I've booked the second midwife - she's due back from holidays two days before my EDD, so we'll see if I need a back up for the back up ;)
Also booked the birth pool because the one I was going to borrow might still be needed by my friend - she's 3 weeks ahead of me, but you never know, I don't want to rush her if it comes down to the wire!
My GF was at the last middie meeting and she's very excited and very on board with it all.
I've been talking to DS about the birth etc, but he won't have a bar of being read My Brother Jimmy Jazz! Anyway, he is getting to know the middie and in the bath I talk about how he came out of me and that the baby will come out of there, too. Sometimes he'll lie back, pat his belly and say that he has a baby in his tummy, too :) He's no longer in denial about the baby, though!
I'm thinking I might watch the Deva Premal (mantra music) video my sister gave me during labour, as she says lots of babies are made and born to her music! Anyway, wanting to keep it zen, but I will make a variety of playlists on iTunes, in case I change my mind about what I want to listen to at the time...
Been quiet in here - where are all the homebirthers??
Ok, so, the time is near, just don't know how near! The house is set up and ready to go - birth pool got a great test run and it's half-inflated, I got my salt lamps, candles are ready to light, my oils box and electric vaporiser have been getting daily workouts, I made up some aromatherapy products for myself and for DS (a face spray, cos he'll want some when he sees me use one!) and my music playlists are good to go.
DS is really looking forward to meeting his sibling in the birth pool and sharing BFing :)
**pokes head in** do I count? I'm technically a home birther now even though it wasn't planned that way...
I wanted to tell someone anyhow- I get it now. The idea of hb always appealed to me but I found it scary. Now I understand why everyone raves about it. It was so much nicer, for all concernced, to have dd at home. My only regret is we had to transfer to the hospital afterwards.
If I ever have another one, there is no way I would go to the hospital. I would find dome way to birth at home. I just wish there was some way I could describe exactly how it feels to all the hb sceptics out there ;)
Maya, you sound all ready to go hun :D You've got to be excited. Abd I bet your ds can't wait. Just for curiousity, are you worried about him seeing you in pain? (if you are in pain, I think I recall your ds's birth was pain free)
