Sending labour vibes to you tonight!
Lol no dancing but have managed bedroom antics.
The worst part is laying for so long after it because baby hates when we DTD normally. Flat on back isn't comfortable.
Here is what you have all been waiting for!!

Yay!! Congratulations bea! I can't wait to hear more. Enjoy those tiny newborn snuggle! Xx
YAY Beatrix!!! Congratulations on your little girl. Can't wait to hear how her birth went for you at home!! You must be so relieved to have your baby safely in your arms xx
Aaaahhhhh!!! You did it! Congrats Beatrix! Can't wait to hear the whole story. :)
Thanks ladies!!!
Over the moon!! Zoe was in a hurry!! 30min labour and caught by her daddy as midwifes didn't make it, they arrived about 10min after she did.
Awesome stuff hun! You're made to give birth, and I bet DH feels a little bit on top of the world right now hey? Congrats to you all!
Holy moly!!!!!!! Way to go birthing goddess!
Woah, you weren't kidding when you said you have fast labours! :o
Congratulations :D
Oh wow that's quick! Congratulations!
Congratulations Beatrix on the (SPEEDY!!) arrival of baby Zoe!!
Hope you are ok after such a whirlwind arrival! and go DH on catching her as she made her way Earthside :loveshower:
(I am guessing you would of had a HB no matter what with that fast labour lol!). Glad that you had your midwives by your side soon after
Congrats hun! We all knew you'd be quick but dang that's superb!
Enjoy your babymoon. How did Daddy feel about it all?
Congratulations Beatrix, glad to hear zoe made a smooth (albeit quick) arrival into the world and daddys arms. Enjoy your babymoon.
Yep, sounds like that would have been a homebirth no matter what! Much nicer when you're actually planning it. :) Was everyone OK with the midwives not arriving on time, or did that cause a bit of stress for you or your DH?
My DH had a dream the other day that this baby would arrive before the midwives too. It wasn't scary to him in the dream, but who knows how you'd feel if it was real life. I'm not too afraid of birthing alone, just of having a PPH, since this is baby #7.
By the way, did anyone see the little video clip that was floating around Pinterest of the lady giving birth in the car on the way to the birthing center? (Who whips out the video camera then?! Her husband was driving, freaking out, and videoing the moment.) Basically she just lowered her pants in the front seat, reached down and picked the baby up from between her legs. He was pretty gooey with vernix, etc., but making noises and in great shape. :)
Congrats B xx
Cricket- DH was absolutely amazing!! He wasn't scared (well didn't show it if he was)
Will write up birth story tomorrow on laptop lol shouldn't take long. It will be filled with more emotion then actual birth LOL as it was so fast.
But when I realized they weren't going to make it he was reassuring me as I was slightly freaked out thinking he was going to freak out. Plus our 3 girls were there and there support person hasn't arrived yet either lol
But all worked out well. The older girls were fine and I am thrilled at the bond DH will have with his baby girl being the one who guided her into this world!!!
Wow that's quick! Sounds exactly like what happened to a friend of mine. You're amazing and so is your dh.
Oh wow. Bea that just gave me the best goosebumps! awwww, sounds so amazing! and how amazing for your girls to welcome their little baby sister too xx
Cricket: i have seen that one lol! she was sooo calm!
so here is my story... needed t get it out while it was fresh

Congrats Teni! How exciting :)
Welcome Teni! And congratulations on the new little one on the way!
Thanks for posting your story so quickly Beatrix. We were all waiting to hear. :) I hope my birth goes as smoothly (although maybe not QUITE as fast) as yours!
Congratulations on joining us officially tenibear. Wishing you a h&h pg. Think you were one of my last ttc buddies.
Cricket- fingers crossed for you!!
Had debrief with midwives yesterday and was good to chat about it. Kinda feel somewhat awesome how well my body does labour but not just that as well but the way I was able once I realized yep this is it to tell where I was in the stages. Yes they were some one quick stages and we seem to jump a few but I could feel it.
I did end up getting my placenta done as well. She picked it up Sunday and dropped it back off yesterday arvo. Got 245 tablets out of it!!! Started taking them yesterday. She recommends one morning and lunch. Doesn't recommend night as some women find its like having caffeine energy wise.
Hopefully it works cause the adrenalin is wearing off and lasts night epic sucking marathon by little miss has made me somewhat tired. Pretty sure she is trying to bring in my milk and its half way. Def not as sticky anymore but not overloaded Pamela boobs yet.
Other then that and not wanting to sleep anywhere but on me it's all good.
Taking her in to show off at the girls school this morning.
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the group Teni!!! Now you really can start your homebirth birth plan!!!
Beatrix- Congrats again on your little one. I was thinking about you the day before the birth, I have three girls too and am really wanting to know what this little one is... I was sure it was a boy until you had your fourth girl, and now I am back to what am I having!??? I also have super quick labours, my shortest being 50minutes from first contraction, and I was wondering how have your afterpains been with this bub? The last one were really intense, the midwife says the uterus has to work harder to get back down after a super quick birth. I am not looking forward to that part again.
Looking at that list I am moving up which is exciting, I think I am the next homebirth... YAY!!!
I got the hose for the pool yesterday and have started sorting wraps and clothes, also old towels and sheets for the nest after birth. School holidays next week, so we are planning to set up the space then, we are painting the room to birth in and we will have a run through the pool which the kids LOVE!! Baby is still head down and starting to take up alot of room. I am really excited to be getting to the birth end of the pregnancy, and doing the practical things to prepare. We are getting a nice little birth team set up and people have started a calender for food and help with children afterbirth, awesome community here!!
Hope everyone else is going well xx
Lady bird- after pains have been full on to be honest. Using panadine forte and heat packs. The after pains is why I decided to try the placenta encap as well cause its meant to help reduce faster. Each day is getting better though but still need pain relief today.
Yes they really are horrible. I found it really hard after baby was here to relax as I did with the contractions. After a quick birth there is so much work to be done in your body, I found not much helped at all last time except relaxing and breathing like I was still in labour. I am trying hot oil and a wrapping technique that I have seen online this time. Not long till you pains are finished I feel for you!!! x
I used naproxen (sold as Aleve here in Canada) for the afterpains last time, and it was GREAT! I honestly hardly felt them, and that was baby #6. With the others I was on acetaminophen and ibuprofen extra strength taken together, and still was rocking and breathing and moaning through some of the pains, especially when nursing. Ugh. I highly recommend the naproxen! My midwives told me to increase the dose from what is on the bottle (instead of one every 12hr, take 2 to start, and then 1 every 8hr.) I only needed them for about 48hr, and then acetaminophen on it's own was fine for another day or so, and then everything was OK.
Both times after pains were not bad at all.
I had my first midwife appointment yesterday. So got the ultrasound report and I will be 8weeks on Wednesday with due date of 20th November. But I never go on time so assume I won't this time either! Bubs heart rate was 150 at the ultrasound at 7week 1day. Just hoping things continue to go ok. Having 3 homebirths within 3years is a bit draining on the bank account but worth every cent. And every time I see her again her rates change lol so now instead of charging hourly she charges a set fee for the birth, but also cost of appointments on top of that. I wouldn't have it any other way though as to me the continuity of care is priceless!
My after pains didn't get bad until after number 4 was born. OMG they were hideous!!!!
I'm so not looking forward to them...
TENI!! :happyforyou:
bring on that homebirth baby!!!!!!!!!
WAHOO!
