What have your other pregnancies been like dotface?
They've been imaginary, Bella29 :p. This is my first! :D
:wall: I was going to get started on clearing out all the DVDs from the lounge room (aka my birth space) today, but I can't find any empty boxes to put them in! I told DH I'd need him to help me find some, but do you think he listened? Nooooooooo, that'd require actual effort :angry:
Oh gawd... Just after typing ^that^, I've realised I know where some are... Not as annoyed at DH now, just myself :p Don't mind me, going crazy...

Dotface, I have been told that the most common day for a first time mum to go into spontaneous labour is 40+11. It is at the top of the bell curve apparently. I think it is helpful for your mind if your expectations are that you might go to 42 or 43 weeks. That way as you are waiting you feel more content. It helped me with my second, cos my first I went to 42+2. Good luck love. Lots of happy labour vibes headed your way.

The arrival of my little girl L.ogan P.each :confetti:
A very quick 2hour labour spent mostly in the shower under water, and this time I simply breathed her out in two big controlled breaths. No tears, just a little graze, a pleasant change from my previous 2nd degree tears and stitches.
STATS:
Gestation: 40 weeks & 5 days
Weight: 3.045kg 6lb11oz
Length: 51cm
HC: 34cm

DotFace - not long now, hun. Plenty of beautiful birthing vibes your way.
OMG only two months to go for me. :o Really not sorted for baby, but I don't have a hugely long list. Better start thinking about getting organised. Why, oh why, does Christmas need to be so close? :wall: Sorting out heaps at home, including getting our granny flat rented, so the baby has taken a big back seat. But then, she doesn't need very much. At least our pool is good now, so next hot day I am waddling my ever-increasing girth into the bliss of weightless water!
Hope everyone else is well. M/w appt on Thurs. Not that there's much to do. I probably should check that I can get a synto and Vit K prescription from her this time (think two of the group m/ws got their certification to prescribe recently, which will save me a trip to the GP).

I've only just started to get things organised (am 37+5), washed a few clothes so at least Bub can be warm lol. And trying to get the place in some kind of order, it's hard as we are in the middle of building and house will be ready about the same time I'm due, doubt we will be in house by then so things are kind of all over the place.
Just exhausted at the moment as kids have been sick so hopefully they are getting that out of the way before Bub arrives as DS has increased his breastfeeds and I spend all day saying no you've just had it! And DD is still BF also and doesnt look like she'll wean before Bubs here so looks like I'll be BF 3! Seems a bit overwhelming at the moment but hopefully it will all work out. And also hoping I don't go to 42 weeks like with DS, anytime from now would be good, but yeah somehow I doubt it!
Went to see midwife just now and she had last week requested my 8week scan info from the hospital I did the u/s at and she told me now my due date is actually today, not Friday the 1st of November like we thought all along! So thank God I'm not overdue yet lol.
Dot Face, even if it had been Nov 1, it's still all an estimate, not an exact due date! You're not overdue till you go over 42 weeks - how come your middie isn't telling you that? They don't realise how much careless use of terminology can create anxiety. EDD suddenly became Exact Due Date, instead of Estimated, and being 'due' meant giving birth on the day you were given on the chart :rolleyes: So, chill out - you'll meet your babe when your babe makes a move ;) x
