Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
They said it would take doctor couple of days to get results anyway so I'll try and ring tomorrow. They did measure a few things. And I knew that wasn't the ovaries (as they measured those too. But hard to tell as she kept standing in front of the screen and I couldn't see. Last time it took a few days to get results as well.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Not sure what I'm hoping for for you eenee, RP and a D&C would mean an end to the bleeding but boy another op and having to go to hospital for a day is horrid! But no RP means.......why the bleeding :( poo to both!
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Hope you get it sorted quickly, Eenee. Presumably if you do need a D&C it's a day procedure?
So, who's next on our list? Bring on a March HB baby!
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Yes exactly Tegam, if it's not then why the bleeding?
Yep it would be just a day procedure but that means fasting and last time I waited until like 10am without having even water which was hard as I need to be able to drink when BF 3...anyways why am I worrying about that now when it might not even occur yet!
Yes who is next for a new Bub?
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
You can drink up to two hours before your op em
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
SJ's next on the list. ;) Then we have an Easter break until Bella (wow, that's gone fast!).
Ready for birthing vibes yet, SJ?
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Jen I am totally not ready emotionally. Have clothes all washed and folded, put away etc..... But have done zero to prepare mentally for this birth. ****ting myself quietly really.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
I think the ****ting yourself phase is perfectly natural. Perhaps it's a way of starting to bring the birth and your need to prepare to the forefront of your mind. Let us know if there's anyway we help you work through this point.
Thinking of you SJ!!
We have a couple of gaps this year where we'll have to wait for the next babies. Darn it! More home births!!
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
No birthing vibes yet - I have my blessingway today, a birth pool to get home and a photo shoot next Thursday...THEN all the vibing in the world can happen! Oh, and finding where the baby clothes are, because at this stage the baby will be wearing singlets...I'm not sure if my lent out clothes ever came back, and if they did then we don't know where they are!
Never mind.
MW appt on Friday was great and all the baby's measurements are improving - I even measured 31ish weeks for my current 36, so we're playing catch ups :) She said she'd start to get nervous if I went over 40 weeks, because of the low fluid thing, but if the fluid is increasing then I'm gonna keep taking my chill pills.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
SJ I'm sure collectively we could all come up with a bunch of newborn clothes if you can't find your others.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Sj I have so many clothes it is ridiculous. I have already culled ones that I don't think are quite as pretty, cos it know I won't put the baby in them. Let me know if you want them.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
I have bag of 0000 that I know my little miss won't get to wear everything. happy to send on if they will be helpful.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
I have 00's that I'm happy to pass on - Felix is nearly out of them :) I've already donated my 000.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
I have some 000 and 00 I can pass on. Will you be wanting the bag of clothes I have of yours HotI?
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Sorry I've been a bit MIA since having DS2 at home. But been struggling with PND and looking after two boys with not much support. But I'm still following occasionally.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
 mt2b it's tough. I still struggle and didn't have much support until my MW got some of the mums from the mothers group she runs to make a roster of support especially in my really struggling weeks so there was someone visiting/helping/checking in on me everyday. Which probably saved my life at the time.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
Glad you popped in, Mt2b - I wish you had support :( I checked in with my local ABA group when DS was two weeks old and I think I would have sunk a few times without them.
Speaking of whom, three of my dearest ABA friends came to my blessingway today! It was such a beautiful gathering (no photos, it was a vibe and chatting thing, but I'll lay out the flags and take a photo!) and the girls who came I've been 'collecting' over many years and I'm so lucky! I got to sit and have my feet soaked, rubbed and nails painted while things went on around me. I know I shouldn't, but I managed to keep it together when we did the beads and everyone said a little something as they held a bead and swapped it for a tealight candle. We didn't get a chance to do the henna, so I may decorate myself this week ;)
One of my girlfriends brought a bag of 000 baby clothes, too, and that should tide me over. You ladies are awesome, thanks so much for the offers! If the sonographer is worth her salt then I won't have too long a need for those 000. I'm in south-eastern vic, so logistics are against me for taking up offers - I'm so grateful that you have offered, though. I'm a bit annoyed with myself for leaving it so long to look for them, because there were bits and pieces I really wanted to use again. I'll have to ask my GF who I remember last loaning them to, and go from there. We are due for a catch up, anyway :)
I feel like I'm in a cloud tonight! I'm so glad I organised the blessingway - everyone deserves one.
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #19
That sounds like a great day, glad you enjoyed yourself. I have friends over berwick - narre warren way. So not to difficult to get them to you. Especially seeing I might catch up with them in April for my 30th.
