Wow. That's fast! Hope she and bubs are well and home soon. I think calling them would be fine, especially if you are close. Maybe even tomorrow - do you have her partner's number?

Marcellus: thankfully when i got home they left messages and we were able to have a good long chat. things are much worse than i thought but baby Sam seems to be a fighter, and no matter what is a precious little boy who is loved to bits. it is turning out that although the birth was quick it wasnt the issue. they think that he might have congenital factors at play. but it's all so early and they are just working on keeping him calm and happy and rested while they run the tests. i just want to give my friend a big big hug. she is a beautiful mumma and this must be hard. thanks for the well wishes for them
Oh Cassius what a scary time for your friends. And for you- I know when you are close, the uncertainty for little Sam would be very hard for you too.
I'm glad you are feeling better stoked. It's such a bugger we have to even have these doubts placed on us in our society.
What a worrying time for your friend and her family! Hope you can give her that big hug soon - I'm sure she'll appreciate it.
Me again!
Had my booking visit today and all is well so I guess I'm officially having a homebirth. Also had a quick listen to the heartbeat, which was nice.
Hope you're all doing well
Yayy!!!! Great day :D
No news for me... I don't have my next appointment with my midwife till 24 weeks as all is coasting along so we'll just start to focus on appointments in the third trimester.
YAY Marcellus! i totally love hearing that heartbeat...how fast are they lol?!! and wahooooo on the homebirth booking  exciting times and planning ahead!
Meow: we also went to 6 weekly appts as things were travelling along well. also the benefit of having your midwife on email and phone whenever kept me sane lol!
AFM: DH just booked us the birth pool! well, it was booked but now we paid for it!! feel so relaxed now...will be picking it up on the 22nd of August YAY! can't believe i am 29 weeks already! so exciting... :) have been looking at all the baby clothes and the moses basket and getting all gooey lol!
How exciting Marcellus! I have my booking visit next Monday with.. um... was it Karen? Sue is on leave apparently. Which hossy are you using as a backup?
Cassius: Not long to go at all! The next 11 weeks or so will fly by!! How is your friend and her bubby doing?
x
Great news marcellus! So exciting. I love hearing the heartbeat too. I've got a quick check with my m/w in the morning, I got a bit paranoid over the weekend because I feel like I've had less movement from bub so she's calling in to have a quick check. So much nicer than having to go to the hospital.
Its funny, I already feel like I have a bowling ball sitting in my pelvis - the pressure is intense! I guess being second pregnancy everything kinda falls into place a lot easier. Here's hoping for another speedy labour with a vaginal birth this time at the end LOL!
Cassius, how is your friend doing? Sounds like things were very fast for her and her LO.
Taryn probably Stoked, she's doing the fill-in work for people away at the moment. She's nice. Which hossy did you use last time? I wasn't sure about swans, it's just down the road from here but felt maybe king eddies would be better. Taryn said Sue often uses Swans though - I'll talk to her about it once we meet.
it was sooooooo wonderful having an appointment at home!!!!! DS was asleep when she got there. then woke up all grumpy. then finally settled down and I got him some lunch. And all during the appointment. so cool.
Hope all's looking good infinity.
Keep on cruising girls
Yes it is Taryn! They just called and asked if I'd mind if they moved the app to the week after. I used Swans last time. They were fine. I just really didn't want to have to be transferred there as I had heard so many bad stories (as you do!). But as a backup they were fine. I went to KEMH for my first and they were great (mind you that was over ten years ago!) so I was tempted to use them as a backup but thought that, as I'm already about 25 mins from Swans, if an emergency happened I'd rather go to the closest one!
Hi girls, hope you don't mind me joining. I am hoping to have a homebirth. The midwife is coming over this arvo so should be good.
More the merrier em! Hope all goes well with teh midwife
How exciting em! Let us know how you go meeting the midwife and if you decide to go with her :D
ohhh goodluck with the Midwife today Em! (and AWESOME news on the homebirth plans!!!).
no real update on my dear friends. i dropped a welcome card for Sam in their letterbox today but didnt knock on the door or anything (they are staying with ILs..closer to hossy). i hope that i wrote the card ok...
Hi ladies,
I started bleeding again today. Went to see dr and had a u/s.. Not good news... Bub passed away at 9 weeks. We are so very sad.
Wishing you all the very best with the rest of your pregnancies and for your wonderful homebirths. I look forward to hearing all about them.
Xxx
I am so very sorry for your loss
I also have some unfortunate news of my own.
I have also found out that that my baby passed away 5 weeks ago at 8 weeks.
I've a broken heart which I know in time will heal.
I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies and calm, loving Homebirths!
Till next time....
Oh stoked and sara I am so, so sad for both of you :(
Take care and go gently
