    Default leftovers - how long

we mash or chop up what we're having for dinner, for DS (8mths)
Are the guidelines around using leftovers shorter for children than adults?

i.e. we had thai on wednesday night, and usually it would be OK for 3-4 days in tupperware in the fridge, but I had a feeling for small children it should be 24-48 hours?

    Any suggestions?

I don't know about any kind of definate guidlines, but I wouldn't be giving a young baby or even child food that is left over for so long. I would make him something else. Just to be on the safe side.

One of the books I have says not to keep any leftovers for bub for any longer than 48 hours.

The labels on manufactured baby food say to use within 48 hours of opening. So I have always followed that with any food that I make.

I usually go 24 hours to be on the safe side. If it hasn't been eaten in 24 hours, it's not gonna get eaten!
