I know kass, I feel so bad :( But he was so happy all day. I guess he is in one all night for around 12 hrs anyway so almost 9 is a breeze... lol.

Sorry been not around for a bit - i sat on the couch to make a phone call and ended up falling asleep - with no phone call made. Then had a shower when i woke up. Am tired but i guess that is expected! I'm just checking now Kass, hopefully won't be too much longer. :)
That much licorice in a week isn't too bad... That's a standard sized packet i think - but i don't think i could eat licorice at the moment. Oh well, i'm going to keep it in mind anyway - i'll be so frustrated if i go over after all this family talk of "always premmie babies"!

This might not be the best place to ask, but Sally, i just had a read of that article and it says preterm labour with a history of two or more abortions... Does anyone know if that counts for miscarriages as well, or is it to do with procedure? (sorry of this is inappropriate or offensive to anyone i'm just curious)

Sal - i never believed my family when they told me that i wouldn't need anything - now that im actually in my own place with everything here i cannot believe i didn't listen. I really wanted the furniture sort of stuff new, now that i can afford it - but oh my gosh - i'm never going to have to buy baby clothes! I got a bunch of basics when i needed 'pep me ups' but even my mum has had my elser brothers stuff stashed away for years. I have a bag of clothes that will fit him when he's six, eight, twelve...!
My aunty sheri has a 2yo and a 1yo - so i got a lot from her and the other aunt has a 2yo as well!
LOL, Mum came with me to the U/S & when we got back to her place she bought out this massive box of my old clothes and said there's another couple at my nanna's & my aunty's
It's amazing how you find that your parents have been clucky for grandkids since the day you grew out of baby clothes! :D

BLANCHE - is being induced bad? i have heard it makes labour more painful ect ect?
Jess it depends what they do, i think. If they just start you on the syntocinon or pitocin or oxytocin or whichever one the induction one is, it's to help try and stimulate labour naturally for you and to ramp up your contractions - if they break your waters, it's painful because there's an instant increase in pressure, couple with contractions - you don't get to ease into it, iykwim?
I could be wrong though, i haven't been there, lol.

Ash, only 5 days to go and you'll be term anyway!! (37weeks is classified as term) I think M/C's count too only if you had a D & C, because a D & C is pretty much a simliar procedure to an abortion and it all leaves scars on your cervix.

I got given bags and bags of clothes.... LOL. luckily (or unluckily whichever way you look at it) he went into new clothes first, cos no-one had ever had a bub that needed 00000 clothes :p hehe
Kass - right click on the files in the email and save them to your computer - and then once you've saved a copy try and upload them as per usual
Sally - yeah term, due in 26 days, but bubby could make me wait forty!!! I ran into a friend and she's like, so, any day then. And i'm like, yes, or no! Aarrrgh, im already getting annoyed at the prospect of being overdue. I feel sorry for you Jess, big :hugs: for you!
I think it's funny i was saying when the labelled this thread jan/feb that it was pointless as we could finish it in four days... we're on the right track :D
yer i was fine up until 39 weeks, then i just got REALLY frustrated... its a bit better now, but omg i could have hit something i was that pi$$ed off a few days ago !! :p
but yer feeling a bit better now, knowing that no matter what i will have my bub in a week, as my doc wont let me go anymore than 10 days over... so thats a bit comforting.. lol

just remember u are in control at all times and if u dont want something make sure u speak up! i had no choice but to have the drip turned up as there was meconium in the waters so they needed to speed things up..
i dont know if i have told u girls that when DD was born her shoulders got stuck and caused her to get a brachial plexus injury which is nerve damage in her left arm, she was 9lbs and 41/2 oz which may have been y it caused it...but she is quiet lucky it hasnt stopped her one bit where as some bubs that get it have to have surgery but she hasnt needed any, have to got bak to PMH (kids hospital) soon to just get it checked out again but i dont think she will need surgery

Jess, i was booked to be induced on the day Sarah decided to come naturally. thankfully too, coz the hospy ended up saying that morning when i rang them to find out when to come in 'we dont know, we are full' !!!!!
With em we had just had the appointment for booking the induction and i started having mild contractions and they intensified after DH got home from work (5 hours later!) but i wasn't in established labour for ages after that. my contractions started at lunch time and i reached established labour at 11pm. but Em was born 5 hours later. not bad for posterior!
I have done it drug free both times. you can do it however you like and it is your choice. i had water births and the gas did nothing for me. not everyone has a horror story to tell. even though i had menconium with both girls, they were fine and because of the speed of my labours i did not need intervention.
remember pg girls, not everyone has a horror story and i know you can do it. you will have wonderful, empowering births and your mums will envy you ;)

yer i have heard some horror stories but most of my mates who have had babies said its nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be... like really, if it was THAT bad, people wouldnt go back and have 4-5-6 kids lol...
everyone keeps saying to me, ohhh arent u nervous ect, im like the opposite, im looking forward to having the experience, and so excited to meet my lil man! hmm lol
kass - another way u could do it is open it in paint and make it smaller?
oh i've never thought of that, im ****ed off now though coz it's not letting me change it back agggrrrr. Also my labour was great, no body get mad at me , but i cant say i didn't enjoy it, sure it hurt but it's really the unknown thats the worst bit. Coz id never done it b4 i was just worried that wat i was feeling wasn't right. It went sooooooo fast and then i was a mummy and got 2 meet my princess! Or in ur case ur Prince!

Oh i'm totally looking forward to saying "hey ive done that" not so much on the actually getting through it front. But that's because ive been crampy, period pain-y and strong bh all night and too tired if i went now, for instance, lol!
thats wat i had 3 days before i was induced Ash and i was 3cms when i got there..so hopefully those pains are doing something but yes u should try get some rest!!
when i went in2 labour i was so tired and not in the mood but the adrenalin (sorry cant spell) pumps through like mad. Pg ladies the night/day of having ur bubs u dont sleep, u just sit there going, "Omg, i have a baby." And ur just amazed

oh i found it easy to sleep after the first few hours i couldnt keep my eyes open lol
