Young mums come back to this thread! Get it going again!
-
Heya!
I'm hoping I can twist DF's arm to TTC in 3-6 months.
-
It doesn't take much twisting ;) Once they realise you should have your bubba's close enough to play together, they come around pretty quick ;)
-
hi ladies!! mind if i join this forum?

Hello Skybie, welcome :D I'm Sally mum to Brendan who is almost 2, I am also approx 16-17 weeks pregnant with number 2 :D

-
thanks for lettin me join guys, good to have support from other young mumma's!
names Skye aswell so this could get confusing (call me skybie its easier) I'm 22 my fiancee's 25 and we've been together for 5 years, hoping to get married in a nice lil registry office wedding before this bubba's born in october, but we're building a house atm so who knows if it will actually happen! we have a beautiful DD charlotte who's 2 and a half and the joy of our lives (even when she's a monster)!
Hope u all had a great weekend and werent affected by fires or floods!

Hey Skybie!!
I am Ali, Nearly 23, with Sarah who is nearly 3 and Emma who is 18 months. #3 is due in June. DH is 23 and in the Army, so right now he is off on a 3 month training course.
We got married just after my 19th birthday and had Sarah just after our first wedding anniversary.
It has stopped raining!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!! Maybe we will be able to get milk and toilet paper into the supermarkets!!! The only ways into Townsville for about a week have been water and air. It has been flooded to the North South and West. Now my lawn needs mowing!! Most of the flooding is in Ingham, which is not far north of us. I think it is about 80 km away.
-
The fires aren't near us, we're very lucky. I'm on some medication at the moment, so in about 5 months or so I'm going to think about it. Perhaps in August or September. My DD is 2, and I was wanting her to be closer to 3yo, just hoping she'd be toilet training and in her own bed. Twisting DF's arm will be very tricky. He's really not ready for another baby, and I so want him to be ready by winter. I hope to get married early next year, so if I am pregnant at my wedding, I'd be about 8 months at the very most. Perhaps pushing back the baby dates until October or November is better? That would make me about 6 months at most. Argh, I'm planning my planning!
-
Hi all, mind if I join in too?
I'm 21, DF is 27, and our little man is 7 weeks old today. Not planning another one until after we get married in January next year. Got most of the wedding planning sorted, just need to find suppliers and pay for everything now lol That can wait for another 8 months though lol
We've had the fires nearby, on three sides of us, but the closest one was 20km's away. We had live embers coming down on saturday night, and we're extremely lucky that the dried leaves and branches in the backyard didn't catch fire. I can still smell the smoke outside atm, I'm hoping it will disappear soon.
-
Hello JennaJayen! Welcome :D I'm Sally, mum to Brendan who is almost 2!
Ali, hope you are able to get to the shops!!
Echidna, hehe, it does sound like you are planning your planning. All the best, I hope things go well for you.
Hope everyone is safe and well.
-
lol sally... at all them dates. Just go by your LMP darl. Bub will catch up.
-
btw - i cant believe u are nearly haf way already.. oh my where has the time gone?
-
LOL, Hollye, I would love to go by my LMP, but I reckon the fundal height is closer cos I have a longer than 28 day cycle it tends to put my EDD's out by a few days :D
I started thing at 15 weeks that I was 1/2 way, I can't quite get my head around it yet.
-
Yep got the loo paper!! the Bruce Highway is open to the south again so heaps of trucks are coming in at the moment. Still flooded out to the north, so poor Cairns are having food shipped in.
Sally - You ARE NOT halfway!! That baby is staying in to a minimum of 37 weeks!!! Say it out loud so it hears me!!
-
Too many dates Sally! My U/S put me back about 2 weeks, but I just went from LMP because me and my brother were both small. I gave birth at 39 weeks, so going from U/S it would have been around 37 weeks. She was small, 5lb 12oz, so i could have gone by U/S dates. She slowed her growth from 30 weeks, so either one could have been the right one.
I've got money stress, which means I am worrying about money. We aren't struggling or in debt at the moment. I've got two more chances at getting a credit card, and if we're still declined then we just won't have one.
-
Hi ladies mind if I join?
Im 22, DP is 24 and im 27 weeks pg....don't really have anyone to talk to about being pg, DPs sis is 3 weeks behind me but is older and has a mortgage and all that grown up stuff lol.
My dad still finding it hard to cope with me being pg, thinks im too young but IMHO even if I got pg at 30 he would still say that!!
Also having probs with my depression and DP has mental probs ( I say bipolar but refuses to see anyone about it) so would like some girls to talk to around my age range!!
Im also in belly buddys group may 1-15 09.
:)
-
echidna- What kind of money trouble hun?
tattoo_mama- Welcome you'll find lots of love and support here :) All dads say that ;) And we all have our issues and so do our Dp's ;) Look forward to chatting
-
Hi Tattoo - Welcome! Hope your stay here is good and hope the rest of your pregnancy goes off without a hitch!
:hello: Everyone!
AFM - I've got my DR appt on Friday and I'm SO worried that my levels aren't going to be high enough! Oh I really hope this is happening... I've got to learn to enjoy it and not worry so much!
-
Hello tattoo_mama! Welcome and congrats on your pg. I agree I reckon all our dads didn't really like the idea, cos it makes them realise that their little girl isnt so little anymore lol. Anyway I'm sally mum to Brendan who is almost two and I'm roughly 17 weeks(depends on whose dates you use LOL) pg with number 2.
LJ, all the best at the dr's I really hope you can enjoy your pregnancy.
-
Welcome tattoo_mama!
Kass, I don't really have money troubles, I'm more wanting/needing things before we have the money saved. I've got a thread about credit cards, trying to work out whether we can keep on top of it. Just getting as much info as I can.
-
Welcome to BB Skybie, JennaJayen & Tatto Mama, look forwards to getting to know you all and hearing about your kiddies.
I'm Kirra SAHM to Alyssa-4 and Charli- 3months MY DP is Trav he's 23, almost 24, man he's getting old. lol and we've been together just over 5 years. We live in the S.E Suburbs of Melb.
Hows is everyone doing? i havent been in here for a while.
Charli is growing so fast, i can't believe she's already 3 months old. Although i'm feeling it physically, im so sleep deprived. lol. Good news..... I FIT INTO MY PRE-PREG JEANS. I'm so happy, saves me having to go shopping to buy more clothes as it cools down. They are a lil tight but thats ok makes me more determined to shed those last 5kgs.
My baby started kinder last wk, i can't believe shes so big already, she acts so grown up though and has the attitude of a 14yr old sometimes. lol
LJ- Hopefully preg is being good to you so far. How are you feeling?
Allioops- Oh my you've gotten so pregnant. lol. Last time i swear you were only 18wks or so. Do you know what your having???
Better go grumpy bum is sooking again. :(
-
It's another baby girl Kirra. Unless the sonographer is blind, but there was absolutely nothing there to indicate boy.
-
LOL i told the sonographer to double check with charli. lmao.
Congrats, atleast you wont have to buy all new stuff unless your like me and got rid of everything :(
-
Hey girls
Just came across this thread and thought I might join in :)
Im 19 and DP is almost 21 and Im 15 weeks pg. Hope you dont mind me joining, I dont have any other kids like most of you do but I actually find it somewhat inspiring to speak to other people who had kids at a young age!
So far Im finding pg has its ups and downs, but its been a good experience. Everyone in our families has been sooo good to us they have never once said a bad thing about this even though it was never planned. Some of my friends are a different story tho
Anyway I think im rambling!
Again hope you dont mind me joining in!
-
Of course!! We aren't an exculsive club ;) well, unless you are not a young mum or mum to be :p
I really don't know how you single mums do it. I am going mental!!! There is only so much babble I can take!!! Inspire me please oh wise ones!!!
-
Hello RhiaMaree and welcome :D Congratulations on your pregnancy :D I'm Sally, mum to Brendan who is almost 2 and I'm 16-18 weeks pg (depends on which dates you want to go by LOL)
-
RhiaMaree - Welcome! Your Dp and yourself and at the exact ages that my Dp and I were at with Annabelle's birth!
You will find your family are those who stick by you ;) And dont stress about friend as pg and having a child brings the best friends you could ask for :) People that actually deserve the word 'friend' ;)
Congrats and looking forward to getting to know you! Also are you finding out the sex of bubs?
Ali- The closest I've been to doing it alone, was 3 days a week while Dp was in another town working. I found it hard and lonely once Annabelle has gone to bed. Whens DH back?
-
Welcome Rhiamaree, congarts on your pregnancy. I had my DD#1 when i was 17, i lost pretty much all my friends but im glad cause it showed me who my real friends really were and the best thing about having a bubs is you get to make even more friends with ppl who understand you cause they have kids too. I love my friends with kids more than those who dont (shh dont tell) they are just so much easier to talk to and dont get bored from me bragging about my lil sweeties.
Alli- Your doing great, i coped well with 1 when i split from DP but no way in teh world could i do it alone with 2, i would be pulling my hair out and getting insane.
-
hey everyone Ive been pretty slack in here since I went to hospital and Im slowly getting up to speed.
Hi Rhiamaree Funny my names Rhiannon Maree lol and Im a SAHM (19) to Aiden (8 months).
For those who dont know I was hospitalised with gall stones and acute pancreantitis. I get my gall bladder out next month and for the next 10 weeks I cant pick up ds or do anything strenuos so it sucks. Im also nautious all day so I think its the morning sickness I missed out on lol.
-
kass---sal----, what is a PIG?
-
Kass - DH gets back on the 30th of April.
Hollye - Post It Girl ;)
Rhy - Get well vibes!!! Maybe you could put the nappies together or if they are all done you can come down here and do mine ;) not much movement required for them ;)
Kirra - It wouldnt be as hard if I wasn't pg. I shouldn't be carrying heavy things with my pelvis the way it is, but I have to.
-
Thanks girls!!
rhyb- thats crazy! It's weird how things happen like that. Wishing you all the best with your op!
Alyssas_Mum & Mamakass- I know exactly what you mean about the friends. I have one girl who has stuck by me through this so far and she has been fantastic! She thinks Im crazy but is so excited. Love her to bits :)
And thanks for the warm welcome Sally and alioops :) I will definitely be popping in here more often!! Its good to talk to people who have/are in the same state as me lol
-
Yeah i know how that feels, pregnancy makes things a whole lot harder and draining. lol
My baby girl rolled from her BACK TO HER TUMMY last night, i am soooooo proud, i just had to share. She's growing up so quickly, DP says she will be crawling in 2 weeks, lmao. I doubt it and secretly hope not, im so not baby proofed yet and have got no money to do it cause i spent lots of $$$$ yesterday at the bigw sale
Hope everyone had a great valentines day :)
-
Rhy, hope you are feeling better soon :)
Kirra, Wahoo for rolling!!
Ali, I hear you on the pregnancy thing...
RhiaMaree, hope to see you around :D
AFM, not alot happening ehre, went out last night for dinner, also went to Big W for their sale and stocked up on some nappies and wipes.
Just a question, I asked in my Belly buddies thread, but no-one replied.... anyway... is it normal to have a very tender belly? It's quite sore to touch, and in places sore without touching. I've never experienced it before. LOL
-
Sal- I had a very tender belly while pg with Annabelle. I always thought maybe because the skin had to stretch so much ;) But I would just have to brush past something and I would feel it ;)
-
I would say its just your hormones Sal, my tummy wasnt really sore but a lil sore and itchy too, i just applied lots of bio oil but if its really sore and tender maybe call your MW and ask them.
-
sal - is it sore all over???
-
It's sore from about where my public hair line is to about 2cms under my belly and not quite to my hips. So it's like a little strip lol. It's just sore, and is sore to touch too. I thinks its probably just hormones and stretching ect.
-
Hi all hope you & the kiddies are all well. Just popping in to say hi. We have no net ATM coz we are moving house, we were supposed to have it connected by last Friday but it still isnt done yet. Hopefully it will be on early next week so I can catch up.
All the best.
