Thanks so much everyone for your lovely messages :grouphug:
I'm pretty much numb right now, even though I fully prepared myself for the worst at the u/s. I kept it together until the lovely lady that did my scan told me not to worry about fixing the account today. God bless her cotton socks, there were pg ladies waiting for their videos and to pay their accounts. I'm also freaking out a little bit because I don't know what to expect now. I've had a late term m/c but that was different b/c I had to go through labour and when the placenta didn't come out fully they did a d & c, and I woke up relatively free of physical pain. I did have this weird bleeding with lots of clots a couple of days later at home which wasn't painful, it just caught me off guard in a shop one day where I had to cross my legs tight b/c I felt something big was coming out :o I eventually found a hairdresser a few doors down that let me use her toilet, and then all these clots came out and I lost quite a bit of blood, I almost fainted. This experience scared the crap out of me. I was expecting my FS to call today, but he hasn't and so far I was thinking of a d & c. But how would I go with a natural m/c, would there be lots of pain to pass a tiny little sac which is only 11mm long? What if I start bleeding in the middle of the night? I've had some mild cramps last night, and some very mild ones today, but so far no spotting etc.
Oh B, I am so very, very sorry that your tiny, precious bubba grew wings :(

Miss B, Im so sorry for your loss . Its so awful to find out an u/s scan and then to see all the other happy mummas . Im so sad for you Miss B, I really am. Its just not fair that you have to go through another loss.
As for whats next, its up to you. If you want to wait for the m/c to happen on its own you can (though it may take several weeks) or book in for the D&C. With my first m/c, the baby died at 9.5 weeks but I had the D&C at 11w because it just wasnt happening on its own. Its up to you and what you want to do.
Thinking of you. xx
I am so sorry to hear that B.
There are pros and cons to having the d & c. Maybe you could set a time to wait, and if nothing has happened by then (say 7 days? Your pick) then opt for the d&c. It could take a while. What an awful decision - I wish so hard that you didn't have to make it.
I had my 7 week + miscarriage naturally and spontaneously it was painful and I went to hospital and had morphine. My only advice is if you decide to Naturally mc if the pain gets too much please go to the ED I waited too long and I regret that. I have had one mc painfree just like heavy period. Hugs babe I wish this wasn't happening x
Thanks ladies for your advice. I will call the FS tomorrow and ask him what I should do. What scares me the most is the pain, I don't like it, although I think I have a high threshold due to my painful periods before DS was born.
I'm so so sorry  I wish this wasn't happening and I knew the right thing to say
I'm so sorry, Miss.B.

I'm so sorry to hear that Miss B. I've been following quietly and hoping for good news for you.
We decided to go with the d&c this time so that we could get testing done and because I was quite scared of how much a natural m/c might hurt (baby measuring 8wks, d&c at 11wks). I was told that, if I started to m/c naturally while waiting for the d&c (4 days), I should go straight to the ER at the hospital where I was booked in for the d&c. I had cramping during the 4 days I waited, even some fairly intense cramping that had me wondering if we'd be heading to the ER, but I didn't start bleeding and had the d&c as scheduled. The testing did show there were chromosomal reasons for the m/c, so I'm glad we had it done.
The first time I had a natural m/c (only 5w4d) and the pain was bad, but only for 4 hours.
I've been following too.
Am really sorry Miss B. Sending you lots of love, hugs and strength.
Oh miss b I'm so sorry, no words can make you feel better, big hugs xxx
Miss B I am so sorry for your loss, and am sending you and DH lots of love and hugs.
When I mc at 8 weeks the first I knew something was wrong was when the bleeding started. I went to my OB and he sent me home and we agreed it if it didn't happen naturally within a week we would discuss a d&c. I left his office with a panadeine forte prescription and half way to the chemist - about ten mins from home, I had immediate and very intense AF like pain. I screamed at DH to drive me straight home. I forced him to drop me off and go and get the drugs!
TMI probably, but I made it to the toilet and I just had an overwhelming urge to push. I bled quite heavily and passed several clots, with one main clot - after that the pain disappeared about 3 hours later. I think I bled on and off like AF for the next 2 days. I took the following day off work and then went back the day after. The pain was bad - but it was over fairly quickly. For me I was more afraid of the unknown.
I think you should do whatever you feel most comfortable with. I am so sorry again for your loss and your pain.
Your family is in my thoughts.
X
I've only just caught up on your news - I'm so very, very sorry Miss B. Sending you hugs and strength for the days ahead xx
So very sorry for your loss (((hugs)))
My 8week m/c was just like a heavy period and was quite a simple process that my body coped with well.
Please be gentle on yourself.
Tanya
i'm so very sorry for your loss miss b. sending you many  and much love & strength.

Thanks girls :grouphug:
What a muck up it's been. I've been waiting since yesterday for the call from FS about the scan and he just rang now to say the u/s place never got in touch with him yesterday :wall: I asked for a D & C and he said that he does ops on Wednesdays so I just missed out on today, bugger. He said he'll ring Monash and see if they have theatre time on Friday. I really hope so b/c I've been cramping a bit and really don't want to go into a natural m/c. He said that could happen any time now. A bit freaking out now but there's nothing I can do :(
sorry for your loss Miss B
If anything starts to happen while you wait go to an ER. If there's one at your FS's hospital that would probably be best, but any should be able to help you. At the very least they can help you with the pain.
