I was just wondering is the sedative they use to sedate you for epu likely to cause nausea i have a sensitivity to anesthetic and always get sick and throw up for hours afterwards i am not looking forward to it they even give me all the anti nausea drugs and they don't work.

I think a lot of anaethetists do things differently for different people. You should tell them that this happens to you. It is possible to have other forms of sedation if you don't cope well.
I also don't cope well with anaesthetic so I can sympathise competely with you. Everyone else is sitting around drinking a cuppa and eating a sandwich, and I am semi-concious with my head in a bowl!
If i was doing it again, I would be talking to the FS and the anaesthetist and trying to come up with something that suited me better.
Good luck.

Hi ferrals,
I chucked after mine, yuck I would make sure the anaesthetist knows too, like Jo said, there are different things that can be given to you if you are sensitive to the anaesthetic. I've had a GA before and knew I was sensitive so told them, but at least with the EPU it was not as bad as the time I had a GA, only the one spew.
